I gave them all to a younger cousin at some point and they've since disappeared. Such a dumb decision. The battle scarred models were awesome. I had the EZ-8 and Germany's Gundam from G-Gundam. My favorite non-scarred model was Alex. It came with the outer armor and the wrist guns were so cool. I'm glad I found this video. I've been wanting to get some of these again for nostalgia.
the Zaks have a form of squad leadership as the freaking tau, you are hte squad leader because your head piece looks different from others either be some sort of spike or a different color helmet
But an action figure toy is much sturdier than a model kit. Kits are for displaying while this is both. I build kits and collect toys and I find that kits joints tend to wear easily once you pose them a lot and the small thin parts like antennas like to break. The type of plastics play a huge role in the price of this figure compared to what gunpla uses as abs is a lot more durable than polystyrene. This is simply an apples to oranges comparison
@@ZonoYT I get what you say as I enjoy building gunplas but manufacturing costs for gunpla and high end figures are different hence the prices are above kits. For me I've toned down buying kits and figures as my needs are being met by modelling and printing my own designs
i think we need a hilarious Build series anime episode where the characters have a heated debate on which is better, a model kit or an action figure, and then they proceed to battle with them to see which comes on top.
I assume the figures would be able to take WAY more of a beating then the kits. But the whole Build Fighters/Divers schtick is that the kits have more power depending of the amount of love put into the customization.
If these have nub marks, that means they're kits before they build them and put them in the boxes. They should just sell these on the runners as super premium kits with all the screws etc.
I almost bought that GM but instead I bought an old GM HG from 2003. Didn't know until I had finished it but trust me, I had suspicions while building it.
I had just watched this video and it was great. I do have a Gundam figure or rather a line of them. Could you do a review of the Gundam universe figures? You can pick which one to do and the order in which you review them. Thank you.
I feel this is not necessarily aiming for people who don't want to build, but rather for kids who actually want to play with their figures. These seem much more durable and doesnt look like they'll have tiny little parts falling off after every little movement.
Very nice.I especially like the Zaku Tri Stars. But I prefer the building aspect of model kits(not the painting and customization as that takes too much time). When a gundam is already built, I feel it takes the challenge and enjoyment out of it and the feeling of accomplishment when finished.
The GM Sniper II looks good all posed up. But damn those seam lines. Thankfully it has an awesome MG so I dont have to bother buying the RD for an extremely poseable GM Sniper II.

Dear Mecha Gaikotsu , i have a question that may or may not have been already answered in a previous video but do weapons on the robot damashii gunpla line and effects work on actual gunpla kits? I'd like to see the Robot Damashii Effects on a HG/MG GM Sniper II cause if it could , we wouldn't need to.buy seperate effects / make our own which could save us alot of time , effort and money
Thats a tough decision. Beware the standard robots spirits gm sniper II, make sure it's the Ver anime. Never built the HG though so can't really give an opinion. However the MG GM sniper II is in the same price range as the Robot spirits variants, and honestly if I had to choose a version all over again I'd go for the MG
Mecha Gaikotsu, but the thing is the MG is to big compared to my Hg’s. Plus I don’t have enough money for multiple MG’s like u do... but I’ll get rather the MG or robot spirits... what do u think?
I have the other Zakus and the Tri stars articulation is on a whole other level. Char's Zaku is probably the weakest, widespread reports of its knees being floppy, including mine. The Zaku II and I are both really strong figures with excellent accessories and effects. I appreciate the Magellan cannon for the Zaku II. The Zaku Kai from 0080 is good too, but I find its hands difficult to stay in their sockets and the beam effect going through its chest is meh. But its league's above the HGUC. I dont have the pre ANIME Zaku, but maybe check that one out, compare that old outdated one to the much improved ANIME line
For some people yes, but others might prefer something they can play with easily and without fear of pieces breaking or falling off. I have the HG GM Sniper II and while it is a good kit, the articulation feels a bit stiff and limited, so a RD can be useful in these cases.
these are very pretty, but them being 5x the price of a regular HG (at least where I live) and being objectively worse (you can't build them yourself) is gonna make them a pass for me. I'll stick to my Model kits.
