Crap...now I've realized something, for years I've played Rimworld, never once I played it till end game. All I did was building a thriving civilization, fighting others or just degenerate into failure...never once I remember that the point of the endgame originally was to build a ship to get off this planet.
Same, one colony I had I made a mistake, I dunno how I managed it I think it was because I changed the crop type I was growing and couldn’t grow enough food or my fields were too small, but my freezer full to the brim of food was suddenly empty, I’m pretty sure I just ate more food than I produced at the time considering it would have taken a while for the freezer to empty… I had just not been paying attention to it
Wow what an amazing base and amazing show of building skill and base planning. I love the amount of detail that went into your base, the way it looks, it's efficiency. My bases always end up looking like one of the randomly generated tribal villages lol. Also, love the way you handle your vanilla killbox (w/o embrasures) by using the double door barricade setup. Love the vid, liked, shared, subbed
The "Designator Shapes" mod is a cheat sheet for lazy people like me, also, as long as you keep things symmetrical even stupid base shapes will look ok, that's why square bases while boring aren't offensive on the eyes. My suggestion is to first make an efficient base and then spend a little time doodling on the map with the planning tool in the orders tab, using T corridors and + corridors for expandable areas like bedrooms (shown in the video), the best shape for hydroponics and how many tiles till the roof caves in is your only real limit. (well other than map size if you're being pedantic)
Me watching my colony finally getting destroyed for good after decades, watching generations passing by as I remember all of the good moments and sad losses the colonists had during this adventure and realizing the meaning of time as everything flies by, making me a mere spectator of this reality once again... Just to notice i still didn't build the ship to end the game for good. "Damn, this OST is great tho."
Tried to make a mountain base myself, dug into the big mountain that didn’t have caves, and it wasn’t even a fucking mountain, it was just a massive area of map that was obscured
It was a careful planned base but a lot of efficency tips went through the window. I saw a lot of spare resoruces very big spaces for eraly game. Still Im impressed you managed all the raids. Congrats.
any reason you didnt put down floors in your cavern rooms even after the repeated insectoid incursions? was funny watching them pop up again and again and again with few preventative measures seemingly put in place
@@beaauuuuu See, I tried that but the seed had a tile .1 coord off and an entirely different landscape. Uploading the save game would be sick though @Jamhax

i never go for finishing the game xD i always go for how long can i survive, and if thats indefinite then i just start over
Imagine you're the pawn in so happy colony, on new planet... and then you escape from there to your crap home planet. That's sad ending :D

The juxtaposition between granite and slate is so cool. It'd make a really interesting multiplayer game.
There is a mod that allows multiplayer servers
hey u still play rimworld
@@orbit692 Why yes I do.
The way you edit the clips into the time-lapse makes it much more entertaining i love it!
Damn, sweet work dude!
Loved the Carno-Scyther battle!
Thank you ☺
I really love the way you've put this together, so much better than just showing a slideshow of how your base has developed over the years.

Too much flattering 😅But thanks!
That was awesome! Really loved how carefully you designed your base :D
Thanks!
I love how you superimpose events over the time lapse. Awesome base
I was thinking a lot on making a desert colony, so maybe this is the way of how it will look. Gorgeus base desing by the way!
genuinely impressed with how few people actually died
Love how it looks!
Absolute Legend
Loved the red and blue sides. Bloodgulch vibes

True, the only game that I play with in-game music on 😁

Why would you leave such a beautiful base ?
F for Nonna
how did you get wood early on on a save like this? Do you just buy it from traders?
How did you manage to take a screenshot each day? Was it a mod or was it your dedication? If any, how did you manage it?
It's an addon called "Progress Renderer"
I dont know why but I feel like the video would be funny if you had the king of the hill theme song playing lol
i tried that seed and the coords but didn't get the same landscape, howd you get that type of feature?
You need the Geological Landforms mod, it adds in these canyons and other stuff.
@komrad822 @Adjustedpigeon is right. If you still can't get it I could upload the savegame. LMK
