Colin is one hell of an actor.👍💯
I was thinking the same thing, he’s believable in every role he plays.
In Bruges is one I have watched countless times.
That film is The Dumbwaiter as a film but set in a town rather than a basement…. I don’t get why it was nominated for best ORIGINAL screenplay.
Same
@@indigodoctor77 Either way it made for a great movie one of my favourites of all time honestly
@@JakeyisdeadTotally fair, it’s a really good movie but 100% a rip off of a Harold Pinter play.
same
Back to the Future was the correct answer.
Actors love questions they don't hear a million times. Good job.
I came across this video by accident. I’m so glad I did. This interview is delightful. The gentleman interviewing Colin was fabulous! Thx
Same… i like that BTTF is his most watched movie…
This is how Colin Farrell became 'The Saint Of Toronto about 20 years ago when he was here for the Toronto Film Festival: he met a homeless guy on the street, took him to a restaurant for a steak dinner then rented him an apartment, paying the rent for a year! When He was back for the festival the next year, he visited his new friend, found him working on sobriety but still unemployed then paid the rent for another year! This incredible Man, the greatest living Actor is also, IMHO, the greatest human being among us.
LOVE this! And how lovely that he's never boasted or spoken about it - *talented and humble* 🥰
What happened in the third year?
@@tetsuoshima7385 I would love to know but Colin Farrell is like Elvis Presley; his charity, compassion and empathy are as deep and profound as any beatified Saint, but his ego doesn't exist so he doesn't talk about these things. There is no finer person walking among us.
OMG I LOVE COLIN FARREL. One of my favorites Actors. ok...turning Apple TV back on tonight. Great interview.
Awww what a nice little chat/interview.
Love Colin Farrell. Glad to see him doing a show this good.
Yeah, there’s been some great detective shows recently.
Sugar has some very surreal stuff, and it’s hard to tell exactly what everyone he associates with are even really up to.
Clive Owen played the older, retired Sam Spade, in a sequel to The Maltese Falcon, in a series for AMC.
It’s excellent.
It’s got a beautiful setting, and the story wraps up what happened, and why he left the U.S., then stayed in Europe.
There’s a nice mystery, but a bit like with Sugar, the characters are far more interesting to me.
I remember him 25 years ago - I saw him in a tiny part in a British show called Ballykissangel, where he was credited as "Col Farrell". His career has changed a lot since then.
British... Really? 🙄.
@@cianodriscoll4460 are you suggesting that he is incorrect in saying that it's a British show?
I used to watch that too!
It was an Irish show with a completely Irish cast
Yeah a British Isles show maybe, but not British
Loving Sugar! Colin Farrell can do no wrong for me. A very sweet detective😂❤
I love Colin, what a real answer. Reminds me of interviews with Leo DiCaprio, ask him his favorite movie and he talks like he's from a 1970's film school. Colin is just straight up "Back to the Future" with no insecurity.
The complete lack of pretentiousness is refreshing ♥️
@@katiej4755 so, having good taste means being pretentious? 😂 what's funny is that Colin did mention Paris, Texas as well, which is by no means an easy watch, slow burn indie, and people like you guys would probably call it a "1980's film school" lol. it's time to accept that people can like what they like. if you're happy because Colin mentioned that silly movie you love, then good for you, but that doesn't mean Leo's choice is pretentious all of a sudden. I think people like you guys forget that cinema wasn't invented in USA, otherwise I can't understand why you go all crazy when someone mentions a foreign film. "ahhhhh he picked a bergman film, what a pretentious douche" it's like, bro I'm sorry I like a movie you've never heard of, maybe if you watch it you will like it too 😂
@@ginofactap JFC calm down man. That’s a whole lot of assumptions you are making there.
@@katiej4755 exactly my point about assumptions. prejudging people's taste using labels such as 'pretentious', 'film schooler', 'film snob', etc.
@@ginofactap Except I never said any of that. You are saying that. You are taking a throw away UA-cam comment very personally. It’s not worth that energy. Take care
Super refreshing to see an interview where the host knows how to ask a question and let the person answer it!
There are plenty of good interviewers out there. Expand your circle.
@@MrGonzoDT ... I grew up on Michael Parkinson and Dick Cavett. From these two alone, the bar of excellence has been set. Anything less is a pale insignificance ... 🤗 ...
@@oscarwilde5473 But theres a difference between a talk show interview and a morning show interview.
@@zztopz7090 ... yet in each, quality shines through if the host has talent ...
I have so many movies I’ve seen a bajillion times! Goonies, Paint Your Wagon, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Legally Blonde
The Holiday. It got me through a very lonely winter.
You are adorable sir.
@@ME-gz8yi thanks.
@@michaelcain9324 👍It's definitely a must-watch every time it comes on, which is often. Btw I loved all the outfits & set designs on that flick!
That’s one of those movies you don’t plan to watch but it comes on the tv on a chilly winter Sunday and you find yourself snuggled watching it. And it’s always enjoyable.
Did Colin Farrell just say. "Animals don't get lost in the complications, and obfuscations of human considerations. ?? Wow! - he's a poet.
Aliens! (1986)
Same.
Taxi Driver (probably the single most, easily close to 100 times), The Shining (although I've watched lots of other Kubrick films repeatedly), Silence of the Lambs, Raising Arizona (again watched a number Coen brothers movies repeatedly), Willy Wonka (1971). I've seen every version of Bladerunner multiple times. I used to work in film production, so I enjoy AND study movies and tv.
Tom Cruise once said he watches a movie a day because he loves them so much. You should ask him this question. It'd be great to get his answer. I love hearing actors talk about their craft and what they're fans of. They're living their dream and the way they light up when talking about it is infectious and inspiring. Now that I know that Colin Farrell's favorite movie is Back to the Future, I'm going to see a through-line in his roles and that movie.
Back To The Future👍👏 I noticed several Christmas's back, that there's a hell of a lot of It's A Wonderful Life in Back To the Future. Both such timeless all-time feel good movies. 😊
I think Colin is starting to get the recognition he deserves, thinking he is picking or getting better scripts
I love Sugar. That film noir feel is so captivating. I´m happy for Colin, he has always seemed like a really good guy.
Hes a sound lad our Colin.
Sounds like Ray Donavan.. 60's version.
Great questions as usual Kevin! Reelblend represent!
Hope Christopher Nolan picks Colin for The Prisoner!
The bully scene in True Detective is classic, he’s an awesome actor.
I’ll always watch anything with him in it ❤
Dang.. Shout out to Paris Texas. Not far from it right now.
'Which one?'. You're fired.
I love Colin even more for his answer!!!!
Colin Farrell Lovely Funny Interesting Man
Good interview, sir. Well done.
Colin is arguably the greatest actor on the planet. He will make you believe he is really the character he’s playing and I guess that’s the point. Even the freaking vampire he played, damn he was acting like a crazy psychopath, blood sucker 🩸😂
While Colin is a fantastically well-rounded actor, someone who can disappear into a character, I find his comedic chops to be underrated. The work he did with Gleason was brilliant, simply brilliant.
That is such a fun question!!
Lobster was awesome.
Ele é um excelente ator, essa série é maravilhosa, parabéns pelo grande sucesso, parabéns
❤❤❤Colin King, Hollywood's favorite, attractive and lovable artist
Excellent interview, nice vibe off the interviewer, knowledgeable and likeable to boot.
Goonies, Love Actually, Christmas Story, Pride and Prejudice (2005), Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk till Dawn, The Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Coming to America, A Knight's Tale, Shaun of the Dead, Goodfellas, Jurassic Park....All the movies.
The original Conan movie has always been a favourite for me.
What a fantastic interview
Nice! Just a cool chat, great interview.
If you're in LA, Boardner's is a GREAT bar on a quiet weekday night.
K-pax
With Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey. One of my all-time favorite movies that I love watching over and over.
There is a movie Colin Farrell did, he was a fisherman and he meets a mermaid. The movie was so good but I can't remember the name of it. I love Colin Farrell movies
'Ondine' from 2009 is the film you're talking about. Fun fact: She's actually a 'Selkie' which means "a seal that turns human while on land" (I'm not saying your mermaid comment is incorrect, I just find this fact interesting :)
Sin City is my most-watched movie. Followed by Wizard of Oz, Battle for Endor, and Disney's Robinhood because I had them all on one VHS as a kid :)
When y’all getting coffee? Great piece - love the fact I felt I was just over hearing a conversation- we will be checking out Sugar too. Nice work
Penguin looks solid this looks like his preparation
Great interview. Colin looked like he was having a good time.
I'm a sucker for the third one.. glad to hear i'm not alone. 😅
Wow that's the exact answer I have as well.
BLADE RUNNER
The one movie I’ve seen so many times I’ve lost count: Raising Arizona
🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
I'm similar. 'Back to the Future' is the movie I've watched the most. It's undeniably good. To me there is a mysterious rhythm to it. I feel like if you could capture that in a bottle, you could make many great movies. 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' is a movie I just watch over and over on occasion. Watched it twice last week. It's so well done.
25 years? Geez, I remember when he was fresh on the scene. But then, I remember seeing Star Wars in the theatre as a child.
Are you thinking of Ewan McGregor?
Young Frankenstein
Ah - “Moral Ambiguity”. Gotta love the race to the downward slide of our once great country. Thnx again, Fox.
Now THAT is how you conduct an interview.
(1) Know your sh*t backwards and forwards, but (2) still do more listening than talking.
Morning hosts get that reversed. And then wonder why guests are not fully engaged.
Princess Bride and Monty Python and the Holy Grail are the best of all time.
Lmao limit me yah. Just wanted to say I love Collin Ferrell great actor.
I love seeing interviewers keep it casual with actors like this. We all have to remember that they're just people.
What a great choice of movie, it's mine fave movie as well, and one of the most perfect movies👍.
No watch adjustment necessary.
The abyss
Back to the Future is my favourite movie too. Love Colin ❤️
A great actor that understands a movie like Back to the Future 3 doesn't have to carry the same tone as 1 & 2 to be a fun and entertaining movie. I LOVE Back to the Future, and I enjoy the hell out of 3.
"Doctor Strangelove" and "The Dish" over and over
Really awesome interview. I wish fox would just stick to entertainment.😊 they just seem to be the best ENTERTAINMENT.
For me it’s The Neverending Story. My favorite after all these years. Then for some reason Mrs. Doubtfire!
Back to the future is a great choice
Good interview, the biggest issue was the format(the slight delays that led to a bit of awkwardness), and thats not on the interviewer at all. The guy came off very genuine and actually interested in the conversation, good job
Even Quentin Tarantino says Back to The Future is a perfect movie
Love him to pieces
I've seen once upon a time in hollywood countless times
Withnail and I is very Colin Farrell
Same as me Colin, all day.x
1:58 Tree, tree's tons of fun!
Life as a House. Kevin Klein. Fabulous film.
Dune (2021). I am going on 15 views, and the movie is only 3 years old. Once in the theater, then on HBO MAX every week till they took it down. Then bought it on Amazon to keep going back. Am on 2 viewings of Part 2, and will now watch both in sequence. I'm sure there's more I've seen more times, but that's the only one I kept count on
Colin is still my #1 pick to play Nathan Drake. He would kill that role!
Animalhouse, Porky’s, and Shawshank Redemption are mine, but most movies one and done is the rule for me.
I didn't know Tarantino directed Back to the Future
BTTF1 and T2 best movies ever
Mines also Back to the Future, watched it at least 100 times. Dumb and Dumber has to be a close 2nd
How did I know Kevin McCarthy was the interviewer just from the title!?! lol
BDK with a 100K views. Way to go, man.
Dazed and confused
Good fellas
You did not ask him “why Back to the Future?”
There’s something about the way that Apple produces televisual content that seems cold and clinical. Like it’s made by corporate committee. It’s missing something.
It must be re-fleshing to asked a question the never been asked. When Colin doing the press conferences. He might tell his co-workers. The interviewer might get more people to come on. Good work.
I have to say there is definitely something about Jaws that makes me watch every single time it's on.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure there is a Spielberg movie I don't like.
Jeez… I liked Colin Ferrel before but I like him that much more now.
Aliens.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is indeed Tarantino's greatest film (Pulp Fiction is his best movie but the film is Once Upon a Time), and actually it is the last truly great Hollywood movie before the industry died slowly (is dying slowly), and it's a fitting eulogy by Tarantino for the 7th art 🥲.
When someone states that Back To The Future is their favourite movie, you never ask, “which one” because a fan will become confused. They are all one film.
You can’t watch one of the films alone, you start it while eating lunch and it’s done in time for dinner.
Didn't even ask him his favourite movie, false title.
Is there a reason why Colin decided he shouldn’t size the watch he’s wearing?
Yup, just like Inglorious Basterds... if only. 2:15
