I actually feel really sorry for anyone in a relationship with either of them. Because it's Derek & Casey the whole time. There will always be a third person in the relationship and that's just not fair.
The writers really played with our hearts with these two if anyone who hadn’t watched the show watched this video they would definently believe they are romantic interests 😭😭
You're blaming the wrong people ;) the writers only created a few ambiguous scenes. It were Ash and Mike, Derek's and Casey's actors who played with and to our hearts and created this amazing secret romance with nothing but intonation, gazes and touches. (Though someone on the cutting floor must be a Dasey fan).
They have so much chemistry. It's like the Marsha Brady and Greg Brady situation. They would film scenes and be like, 'okay can you not look at each other like you want to kiss! That's your sibling!". Lol.

my favorite line is and i dont want to do the right thing and tell casey but not telling her is making me crazy. When he says that you can really tell that he is in love with casey but he knew that he couldnt be with her because they are meant to be step siblings. Even when casey had an argument with max or sam or truman she runs up to derek and not emily theres a clear connection there.
They are not meant to be siblings ;) they are supposed to be siblings. Because they are meant to be lovers. I love that Derek of all people doesn't just go for Casey. Selfish, arrogant Derek is unable to risk the family for his own desires. Just like Casey said "you're a good guy, Derek Venturi".

also i forgot to mention when casey says how could you and derek said me what about you they sound like a married couple, its a shame as i really want dasey to happen like they are perfect match because they are two different people which makes it cuter.

I think they couldnt of picked better actors feel like if the chemistry was even a little off would of never worked out this way and the show wouldn't of been what it is. It's like nothing you can pinpoint you either have it or you dont and they definitely have it. One time I saw a comment I dont remember how long ago but it said they have zero chemistry it's like I'm pretty sure people from Mars can see their chemistry its extremely apparent even if you think its "gross " because they're supposed to be "siblings " but I've known step siblings that have dated and are happy it happens and its natural no blood relation.
