Firenze or Florence, is more than a city - it’s a feeling. Walking through the stunning streets of Firenze is like stepping back into an era when the great Italian artists ruled the city. You’re surrounded by Renaissance architecture, the romantic Arno River, and a palpable, omnipresent energy that emanates from the city. There are so many amazing things to do in Florence, it would take a lifetime to see it all!
This wasn’t our first time seeing the city of Florence. And no, that’s not a humble brag. It’s to say that this is a city to return to over and over again and still never see it all. You have to revel in the Renaissance history, bow down to Boticelli’s Venus, enjoy the flavors of the famed Florentine steak, and delight in the beauty of the Duomo.
Florence is one of the most amazing cities in Italy and also the world! The food, art, and history make it one of the best places to visit in Italy. During this video of Florence we show you some of our favorite places for Pizza, Pasta, Gelato, & Lasagna. When in Florence, the diet goes out the window. Be ready for red wine, Florentine steak, and truffle pasta. Some of our favorite restaurants are:
La Grotta Guelfa
All'antico Vinaio
Antico Porto
and Perche No
just to name a few. For more info. Check out our blog post!

Got back from Firenze and Pisa in August. Weather was 37c! The other side of Arno is mostly residential and has some really nice places to eat. Don't really need to speak Italian, they all spoke English and it's the most friendly country ever. 3x to Tuscany now, beautiful place. 💕🙏
I love your video, looks cinematic and professional shots. Food looks appetising and delicious.
The food marketo centrale was amazing also so many delicious foods my wife and I tried.
LOVE! So glad I found your channel.
Makes me thirsty and hungry!! Salute. Cin Cin 🍷🍕🇮🇹
That sandwich looks amazing!
I absolutely LOVE your videos!!! You both are so Awesome :)
Going there tomorrow love trying to move a car so funny, keep up the great work
I loved the background song .
It makes me so happy I don't know why 😁😁😁😍😍😍😍
That food looks amazing! I hope I can move a car too after eating there. lol
10:50
the bread is called "schiacciata" and the salame is not salame but "sbriciolona". Schiacciata and sbriciolona are typical of Florence
Fantastico 😉 guys 👏👏👏
Ma mi potevi avvertire... Sarei stato un'ottima guida!!! Baci da Firenze!!!
Love your posts!😉
Thank you both for this video. We will be in Florence on my birthday this year. My family usually is away on that day so w it will be nice to spend it tgoether in a nice place. I like the idea of the Il Brindillone as it will be near our rental apartment and good food/wine sounds perfect.
That sounds amazing! You'll love it!
This is great I just spent my whole summer studying abroad in Florence! This makes me miss it!
You did, that's amazing! 👍 Any spots you recommend?
@@Roamarooyou can take the 10 bus to Settignano and eat at La Capponcina Di Settignano at SUNSET! Overlooks the city and is very local and beautiful! Also cheap! I recommend the pizza and beer!
My school campus is located in Settignano named villa Morghen also a great place to stay
That food looks amazing - you have sold Florence to me!
I thought it funny that a litre of wine was drunk, Colette moves a car, and then the next day, you are both in shades 😆 - the sign of a good night!
LOL! You see through us too well!. 😀Sunglasses were on for a reason.
you needed a youtube video to sell you on florence? hahaha i'm just busting chops - hopefully we can all get back to this beautiful country soon!
@@outdoor802 - haha, fair point! I’ve still not got myself to Italy which is a travesty in itself!
@@MrGreatplum hope you can go sometime! Amazing place. I've been dying to go to Lisbon, myself. Definitely need to head back to Italy as well.
Im also planning a trip to italy.but to rome.great video, thanks🙂🌞
Rome is amazing! How long are you going for? 😀
I'm here for a month and I'm going to try to hit all of these places with my daughter. My AirBnB is right by the sandwich shop. Thanks for the reccos.
So cool! Have fun! 😀
Great video ! Going to Florence next week and I surely am going to try some of these nice places 😊.
One question : did you check the drone flying authorisations to film above Florence ? I assume you used one to be able to get those from-the-air rushes? I always hesitate to use mine when I'm abroad 😅
Yes I checked the drone laws. I recommend you check the most recent laws as they're always changing. somewhat related.. I just got a new drone.. The Mavic Mini 3 pro.. Thing is VERY impressive for it's size. amzn.to/3VfVyOu. My favorite part is how quiet it is. I feel much more comfortable launching it with people around because it doesn't draw any attention. I might be committing fully to it and selling my Mavic 2. Still on the fence about that.
Great video. We travel to Italy every year for 6 weeks and spend a lot of time in Florence. We have our favorite restaurants as well but would love to know where the one is located that was recommended to you.
6 weeks! That sounds amazing!
My husband and I will be in Florence for three weeks in May 2023 and another three in Bologna. Have you been to Bologna and if so, any recommendations for restaurants.
Thank you in advance and thank you for the recommendations for Florence - great video! Beautiful headscarf by the way :)
Brilliant! We were just in Florence ourselves last week, but only stayed just one night. Would definitely go back ❤️
Was it your first time? How cool is Florence?! We love it😀
Love your sunglasses. What brand is it?
Hi guys great video!!! cant wait for my trip to florence!!! can you share the brand and/or model of your sunglasses?! my husband and I love them!!!
Thank you so much! We're very excited for you to visit Florence. Coco's sunglasses are here: amzn.to/2OwK9ce Scott's sunglasses are here: amzn.to/2Osp82E
Fantacio
Next time try in Oltrano, my favourite restaurant, Olio e Convivium, the waiters Franco and Angelo,
Thanks, we'll have to check that one out!
Nice to know. We’re in Florence now.
Check out STO bar (on top of the Westin hotel) for sunset cocktails.
There's more info here.. www.roamaroo.com/things-to-do-in-florence-italy/
I just love you guys! Great vlogs.
Thank you! We love you too ❤️.. Where's home for you?
Roamaroo , I live in Carrboro, NC.
Have been following you only for a short time. The Philippine islands trip.
This food list is making me hungry! I'm so excited to visit in Sept.
Also off topic but what artist did that version that's amore, it's super catchy?
It's Dyalla! Look up her music. She's the best.
Some good spots in there! Three places though I would say need to be added for authentic an Tuscan/local experience:
Trattoria Marione
Osteria Santo Spirito
Il Santino
Three best spots in Florence in my opinion!
Looks like we need to go back again! 😀
@@Roamaroo me too! I haven't tried a couple of your recommendations yet.
I'll be taking my first trip to Florence in Oct. this year. I'll be there two days/nights.
That’s amazing! 2 days is too short!! I’d spend another night or two there if you can.
@@Roamaroo Well I'm taking a train from Rome in the morning then staying two nights so I could probably just make it 2.5 days... I feel like I'll be able to talk my travel companion into staying longer on the last day once we're there. Wish I could devote a solid week but not enough time!
@@olauda I'm not sure what your entire trip is but our number 1 recommendation to most people visiting Italy is to "Slow Down. 😀". You don't need to see it all but you should enjoy everything you see 👍
@@Roamaroo I'm in Rome for two weeks sooo :) taking it pretty slow. I just wanted to take a nice trip outside of Rome and Florence seemed like a good spot. Appreciate the replies.
@@olauda I'm so glad to hear that!! Enjoy your trip.
That’s where jersey shore was recorded 😍
Hi thanks for the recommendations I was just in Florence and tried a few they were amazing
Tutto bene
Bravissimi
Hi Scott and Collette! Do you need reservations for I'Brindellone?
Not typically. We just walked in. But a reservation wound never hurt. 😀
Balsamico on cheese...me too ^^
Can you recommend any rooftop restaurants? I'm getting ready to go to Italy and I'm so excited.
Bearded Traveler check STO at the Westin and here for more www.roamaroo.com/things-to-do-in-florence-italy/
How long do you have to wait at the sandwich place?
It took about 15 minutes. Not too long!!! The line moves very quickly :)
I love gucci osteria
After 8 days in Florence September 2021, I couldn't see another sandwich, pasta-lasagna, pizza, ham, salami or bread. I missed salads, veggies and dishes like pollo arosto con limone -roasted lemon chicken or Saltimbocca alla Romana. The steaks were too massive, fatty and rare. This clip reminds me that this, my third but longest trip to Florence, brought out that the food is geared toward a sort of fast food, typical Italian menu for short term tourists. One night, we went to an upscale, fish restaurant recommended to us located across the Arno, which had fabulous drinks and delicious desserts but the fish was over priced, lacked flavor or flare & the veggies could only be detected with a magnifying glass. You both are fun to watch so I hope you will return and discover what the Florentines eat. They cannot exist on wine, bread and pasta alone.
😂.. This is how we feel every time we leave italy. It's lovely, but after a few days all you want is a salad. Glad to hear you had such a great time! ❤️
@@Roamaroo Thank you SO much for the heart & reply. I discovered that you were there this year & got caught in a storm. We arrived Sept 19th after a storm & was worried we hadn't packed warmly enough. But then the sun came out & the weather was consistently fabulous from day 2 onward until we left. Both clips you made were amazing & helped me re-live the wonders of the city. Through a ceramic shop, I found that they have an Airbnb near their shop on the street leading to the Piti Palace, which I might try out next time. My hotel room looked out onto the Medici Chapel & they had a rooftop breakfast & lounge looking out to the Duomo. The food was great but too much of the same thing...Thanks again & good luck on future endeavors. You are a very endearing couple & team making fabulous content!
Hi Guys!! Can you tell me the song’s name?
Check out the artist Dyalla.. She's amazing!
Going to the best country for food and wine in Europe and ordering pizza and house wine does a disservice. Take a risk and have a brunello or truffle pasta.
Nice vid, thanks! Btw that steak you got is somewhere between medium and medium-well by European standards. Rare looks significantly different 🙂
I like your video but I still don't understand why you put neapolitan songs on a video about a tuscan city, it doesn't makes sense really, just like playing bagpipes on a documentary about japan. Please stop :)
I agree completely. What a bad remix of a neapolitan song while showing videos of Florence. It show just how uneducated and full of themselves some americans are.
HARRY KANE,,, is american !!!
haha! I get that a lot. Thanks 😀
The sandwich place at the end is absolutely disgusting. I am used to good, fluffy and tasty bread but this was beyond eatable. The bread was absolutely dry and hard, didn't taste like quality bread at all. I cannot understand the Hype. The ice cream tough is phenomenal.
You were just unlucky, you got old bread.
Please, Just quit with idiotic music and gestures though.. you are in the cradle of renaissance there, not in an american movie from Hollywood depicting italian americans...
Meaning of Brindellone: Sloppy and scruffy person in dressing and disheveled in walking; more com., about young people big and big, idle or indolent, listless.
Greetings from Florence
Wow! Did not know that. Thanks for sharing 😀😀
@@Roamaroo Many italians don't know that, becauase Brindellone is a word in florentine dialect
It seems like all you guys do is promote stuff.
Where’s the food shots? It’s just two annoying people talking the whole 11 min…
This is too narcissistic for me. I'd rather see more of the food. So much potential...!
