In 9" thick wall Area of wall in sq ft /0.1153( area of one brick including mortar 10 mm)you get perfect answer .
Good. In this, you forgot to add mortar thickness. If u add, no.of Bricks will be reduced. FYI.

For practical estimates counting bricks in a 9" thick wall, multiply the area of wall by 10 and for 4.5" thick wall, the area by 5😄

Volume 1 and 2 has 9/12 as a factor...then you are dividing them. Why to even include them in the calculation?

This is right answer. Let me explain simply. 1 cubic feet wall require 13.5 bricks (after applying mortar). So 100 square feet area of wall with 9 inch thickness is equal to 75 cubic feet. So 75 * 13.5 = 1013 bricks

304÷19= 16 brick brick in one line
Then -
Heigh is 10 feet so = 304cm
One brick height = 4 cm
304÷4 = 76 brick
