Excellent video! Glad to see you're posting again. Always love seeing vids of DSNY - probably on of my favorite disposal services to watch. Also like that Pete/Stagg in LA. I've seen it a few times but have never gotten a chance to film it. I also really enjoy that arm on the St Petersburg Heil. Wow, that Cordova roll off guy really knows how to get those dumpsters on his truck!
Thanks. The Stagg does most of it's route in a gated apartment complex, they're pretty uptight so it helped to have an in with the guys at A&B, courtesy of Zach. Nothing quite like the 7000 arm, best ASL on the market. And the Cordova truck proves roll offs can be exciting.

Thanks! A&B really is a top notch operation. As for 7000s, Torrance has similar units you could film.
Great video. If you want to see some crazy yard waste and trash collection then Lynn Haven Florida is the place. Trash is collected by Labrie Expert 2000's and yard waste is collected by grapple trucks. Piles of 2+ cubic yards are common and the operators are friendly.

Great video George! Glad to see another upload from you! Wow DSNY was amazing. Was that from your visit to NY a while back? A&B truck is so nice to see. Another combo I grew up with around SoCal. St. Petersburg Pete was beautiful!! Wow such a nice looking combo! Makes me miss the classic 320 so much. The demolition truck was amazing. One thing I love about NY! Super violent tipper lol There were two trucks at that stop if I'm seeing right? Wish they had that out here. Cordova truck was nice. They have a cool MR too! Nice Valley Vista truck! See them a lot around the area. Great compilation George!
Thanks Aaron. As always, the lengthy comment is very much appreciated. I knew you would like the St. Pete truck, she really is a stunner in person. You won't be happy to hear a bunch of similar newer units have come into the fleet, all with the new mirrors and corner cab windows. Two trucks at the Vanquish stop, this one for scrap metal and a second for wood and drywall and everything else. There's much more demolition truck footage with all the various flavors of container emptying used, some more violent, some rather smooth, and some are downright boring. Cordova was a chance catch, but certainly whet my appetite for more roll off vids. Valley Vista was another chance catch while staking out Puente Hills for the G&B Amrep Front Loader with Zach and Bill. Love every bit of their fleet and definitely plan to film more of it.
WMmaster626 I used to work on the back of a few of those old Loadmasters. They were junky and we hated them but they would crush the crap out of trash.

If ever someone wants to see a video featuring lots of US trucks, I know where to direct them ;) Once again you've dominated with this video, I'm far from disappointed with this viewing, got a one way ticket to my favourites and of course a like. Looking forward to seeing more of DSNY, squealing packer was annoying though! How many different bodies does A&B use?! The new St Pete truck looks pretty mad; the city loves that 7000 arm. Glad to finally see something of one of those demolition company Loadmasters with the beefy packer blade! Awesome watching those square containers get emptied violently and then see the jaws of the packer open up and lower into the steel :P Then came the roll-off clip starting at 7:10 which was perfect; no messing around with a swift pick-up and then the drive-off, but there were some points where the truck shook around a lot during loading! I swear those new Loadmasters are designed similar to the 2R; personally prefer their early models like the Vanquish truck anyway. The Tampa packing action was sick as, getting full too judging by the packer stopping early and what a fail at 11:38. Excellent job mate, keep up the priceless work!
MitchellM15 I'm looking forward to more DSNY myself as they're quite a pleasure to film. A&B is a small operation, you've seen all three trucks in the fleet. St. Pete is massively loyal to the 7000 arm as are a multitude of other haulers, all for good reason. Unfortunately they may be unable to get their hands on any more with Heil pushing to discontinue production. The roll off is of the typical Southern California style, light weight and quick. Loadmaster builds both types of rear loaders although the 400 is pretty much exclusive to NYC demolition companies these days. The newer Excel is a fantastic machine; packer geometry reminiscent of the 2R series but with numerous improvements. Quick, big hopper, and packs a great load. They're very popular with Florida municipalities and have replaced the Leach as the City of Chicago's packer of choice.

I'm not sure if you get to talk to the drivers/crew, but I'm wondering if there is a favorite ASL of drivers? Which one do they rate the best and why?
finster101 The Heil 7000s always gets high praise, top marks, and is my personal favorite as well. Quick, simple, reliable (damn near indestructible really), dumps directly to the hopper without having to retract the reach function. Large 300s and 450s pose no challenge. Otherwise most drivers who run Labrie Automizers and Amreps have nothing but good to say about them.
georgewuzheer Thanks for the info. There aren't any ASL trucks near me (yet), but after looking at some of yours (and others) videos I never realized there were so many different types. After seeing so many different solutions to the same "problem" I was just curious as to which type was preferred by the people who use them day-in-day-out.

so what are your impressions of the DSNY people? and just in general, how do all the other workers you've filmed there take to being on camera?
I noticed the St. Pete truck began revving after the first clip - that made it cooler for sure.
why did you cut the audio in a couple places @ the demo Loadmaster? adult language or something lol
congrats on already getting 13 dislikes (and counting)! It's always a pleasure for me to watch that ratio (likes:dislikes) change on a video as that video ages...
last truck had to be my favorite, maybe just second to seeing the (other) Loadmaster on demo waste. Awesome job
DSNY crews were pretty cool, seems like they are a bit uneasy being stuck between all the city and union rules, an interesting dynamic for sure. Other NYC crews? Range from indifferent to totally wierded out. IESI/Progressive crews were all very laid back.
Luckily most St. Pete drivers rev but Randy is particularly good. Be on the look out for lots more to come. Yeah a bit of censorship was in order, this is a family channel after all. I watch the same thing lol, you know you're doing well as that ratio approaches 50/50.
The Loadmasters are incredible packers, also look for lots more of those to come. The Crane/Excel combo is by far the preferred choice of Florida cities even though they sell for a significant premium. Easily would be my go to packer if I was buying a new one, even over Leach (shocker I know). Loadmaster took the 2R design and perfected it. The 400 is no slouch either and seems to have the NYC demolition packer market all sewn up. Nearly all the newer demo waste trucks were 400s with the 2R-II and III coming in a strong second.

I've always enjoyed watching your garbage truck series, watched everyone. In fact part one was the first garbage truck video do watched on UA-cam. Quality edition to btw, if you get a chance check out some of my videos ;-).
