I joined a quilt guild 19 years ago and have been making quilts ever since. I made a 4 Patch Posey quilt. It was a fun technique that resulted in simple kaleidoscope blocks. I have also done a Bethany Reynold's Stack & Whack quilt that made octagonal kaleidoscope blocks. The quilt is amazing.

I use aloe vera gel to activate inktense pencils on projects that are washed regularly. They are still perfect after many washes. Love your whimsical flower!
Hi, Thank you so much for your comment. I was hoping someone would chime in on the aloe vera. I have not tested it yet but was hoping it was would be washable. It is sure wonderful to work with.

It's funny, I've been following you for a while now and I've always considered you a quilter. Free motion quilting is more of an advanced technique for quilters. It is a kaleidoscope of sorts, I've done one with 6 layers stack and whack hexagons and it's amazing!
I think taking a quilting class is the smart thing to do. It answers your questions and gives you the foundation for success. If you get a chance go to a quilt show. We just had our quilt show here in Naples FL and gives you inspiration. Mostly just have fun.🙂

I have been designing and making plans for family quilts that includes “Julia” type stitched art to make them unique and meaningful to the receiver of my quilt. I can’t wait to see what you do with this new hobby.

You're going to love quilting! Just keep in mind that there really are no Quilt Police and all of the "rules" you learn aren't written in stone. If you like how something is done, and it works for you, then it's perfectly acceptable. As good as you are at free-motion stitching, you're going to be awesome at quilting!

I use aloe Vera and I have washed my table runners multiple times and it is permanent
this is one of my favorite patterns. I love them. We had a class within our group and will be having a show of them in March of 2024.

We had a small quilt show at the resort we are staying. I got to see quilts that the members of the quilt club have made. It was so inspiring.
