Our second day on our Caledonian Sleeper trip to Edinburgh .

- Day 2 starts on the floating hotel Fingal , after a lovely Scottish breakfast and with the sun shining we make our way into Edinburgh .
Our plan today was to see most of the main sights by foot .
We were very lucky with the weather as it stayed nice and sunny all day.
We took in the Dome club and bar that was already covered in Christmas decorations . Then on to Princess Gardens that looked great in the sunshine . Next up to the Castle and then on to the Royal Mile and down to Holyrood Palace.
We finished at Greyfriars Kirkyard to see Greyfriars Bobby and do the traditional stroking of the statue.
After taking the tram back to the hotel and enjoying a lovely shower we enjoyed another great meal in the Lighthouse restaurant .

Hello! This is quite a trip. I so enjoy seeing these different places. I'm glad Pearl wrote on that young girl's shirt. Wish I could walk like that. Thank you for taking the time to show us what you eat. I like food, and enjoy seeing the different dishes. Tell Pearl I enjoyed her little jig! If you can't have fun, then why go? She has my sympathy with all the bathroom trips. I truly understand. I have to giggle when I see US restaurants over there. Can't wait till the next video! Hope you all are staying well.
Hi Rene always good to hear from you, we are all well apart from the incessant rain . Hope everything is fine with you. We certainly walked a lot that day , you would love Edinburgh so much history. We have been very lucky with the food at the hotel it has been so nice . Glad you liked Pearls jig , we always like to have a laugh when we can . When we arrive anywhere we always have to find where the restrooms are 😂

Hi Annette , she certainly is a star she did make me laugh when she looked under the Kilt . I actually was born in Dundee but we were only there for a little while ,before moving down South . We do love going back to Scotland one of our favourite places. Xx
My husbands from Dundee to and joined Scot’s guards and ended up at Windsor 😊

Another enjoyable video, we have been to Edinburgh a few times mainly on coach holidays to Scotland from Essex (Clacton), the Hill is called Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood park and you can walk to the top. Have also done a few cruises, are booked to go on Iona.

Brian and pearl i always have a laugh with my husband i say ive been with you over 20 years and I’m still waiting for you to take me to Scotland , he always makes an excuse well its to fay you need a car etc etc, you have proved you don’t he’s going to get an ear bashing now sham its a bit wet 😊

Hi Both , hope you recovered after your 50th anniversary fun , looked like a lot of fun .I was looking for a camera that was a bit more discrete for when your in more of a crowded situation. I used it more than was planned, as the battery run out on the Sony zv1 I couldn’t be bothered to change it so just used the dji.Downside being if you don’t use the microphone that came with it the sound level is very low . If you watch the last video coming up you will see what I mean.Have sent off for a cable so that I can use the microphones I use with the zv1 together with the dji . I am really pleased with the Dji. Hope this helps .👋
You're NOT meant to touch or stroke Greyfriars Bobby - that's a recent phenomenon amongst tourists and it has been causing damage to the statue as the surface is rubbed away, exposing the underlying brass. So the next time you're here, PLEASE DON'T TOUCH. It won't bring you luck and it certainly isn't lucky for poor Bobby.
