I’d consider Trump more of a symptom than a cause of it. They don’t have principles except for the pursuit of wealth and power, and that’s the root of everything, and why they keep putting up with Trump.
My favorite is how a lot of the Trump "defense" are just "But Biden though..." as if Bidens supposed crimes would somehow make Trump innocent. Try claiming somebody else committing a crime as a defense next time you are in court.

What irritates me the most is the fact that Trump is disqualified to be the speaker per rule #26 which states that nobody can be a speaker that is criminally indicted on felony charges. Not convicted.. just indicted.

You know how they like to change the rules to suit them. Look at how desantis changed the rules in Florida, so he could run for president, while still being little hitter governor and also firing 2 elected D.A.'s and also in Wisconsin, I believe, to impeach an elected supreme court justice who hasn't even ruled on a case yet. And also and especially Moscow Mitch for changing the rules to pack the supreme court with the corrupt justices, with a big help from FBI director Wray. Rules and laws don't count for the GOP.

When Donald gets thrown in prison he can make the case that he is "stuck there." His appearance at the trial was not due to any legal obligation (as there isn't any). He was there to gripe and grift. I mean, Trump’s case is pretty solid on this one. Forbes estimated the value of his home as 300-700 million. It generates $25 million a year in revenue, and is an enormous piece of land in one of the most expensive parts of Florida. A home down the road from Trump’s, much smaller and much less nice, just sold for something like $40 million…
So yes, a valuation of $18 million is a joke, and Trump didn’t claim a valuation of $1.5 billion in anything official, he only took a valuation of $739 million. Which should be relatively easy to prove, because a Forbes publication actually would work as solid proof that not just he valued that home at 700 million, but in fact popular opinion aligned with that statement. When you add in that the banks are not pressing charges for the loans they gave out, there’s no real way the judge’s case has any real chance.

And if he claimed it's worth a billion when trying to get loans and at the same time claimed it's worth 20 million when he has to pay taxes, then that's the part where he committed fraud.
