@@MrWascally McCarthy, as all house speakers have been since the early 2000's are ordered to write a list of possible replacements and the first one in said list takes over. They'll just end up using whoever that is until the next congress takes over, because I think all of them know that literally the only person who 'could' win, did. The others will go much more than 15 rounds if they had to. But because it's not the start of a session the vote isn't as required to continue as it was the last time. If they had to again we'd probably be more likely to see an R flip to Jeffries just out of spite after they start to get over 30 tries.

A mall cop I knew had a funny story, not about Trump specifically, but another guy who just didn't understand that rules applied to him. The guy parked in the fire lane. Dave told him politely he wasn't allowed to park there. Got the usual "I'll just be a few minutes." Dave told him no. Guy swore at him. Dave said he'd have to write a ticket. Guy told him mall cops can't write tickets, told him to shove it. Dave wrote a ticket. Guy tore it up. Dave wrote a second ticket, citing the offense of tearing up the first one. Guy demanded to see a manager. Manager backed up Dave. Guy raised a fuss about harassment, threatened to call cops. Dave and manager said, "Please do." So the guy called the police. Officer arrived, listened to his complaint, and promptly wrote him another ticket, pointing out that it was in addition to the two Dave wrote. Rest in peace, Dave. I can't tell it the way you did.

@@MrWascally McCarthy, as all house speakers have been since the early 2000's are ordered to write a list of possible replacements and the first one in said list takes over. They'll just end up using whoever that is until the next congress takes over, because I think all of them know that literally the only person who 'could' win, did. The others will go much more than 15 rounds if they had to. But because it's not the start of a session the vote isn't as required to continue as it was the last time. If they had to again we'd probably be more likely to see an R flip to Jeffries just out of spite after they start to get over 30 tries.

A mall cop I knew had a funny story, not about Trump specifically, but another guy who just didn't understand that rules applied to him. The guy parked in the fire lane. Dave told him politely he wasn't allowed to park there. Got the usual "I'll just be a few minutes." Dave told him no. Guy swore at him. Dave said he'd have to write a ticket. Guy told him mall cops can't write tickets, told him to shove it. Dave wrote a ticket. Guy tore it up. Dave wrote a second ticket, citing the offense of tearing up the first one. Guy demanded to see a manager. Manager backed up Dave. Guy raised a fuss about harassment, threatened to call cops. Dave and manager said, "Please do." So the guy called the police. Officer arrived, listened to his complaint, and promptly wrote him another ticket, pointing out that it was in addition to the two Dave wrote.
Rest in peace, Dave. I can't tell it the way you did.
