The demons and their fallen workers clearly don't know their work is a key part of God's original plan. To mark his Children and theirs. His perfect plan. Does God too kinda chuckle at their whispering? And us his Children peering at this all from under his hand. Thank you Father. Holy God, Holy Mighty. Holy Immortal.
Great topic! Dr. Matthew Raphael Johnson also has a fantastic essay and podcast episode on this subject, where he analyses Numbers 25 and the story of the Moabites, illustrating how evil functions in the demonic methodology. There is certainly lot to be learned from this expansive topic. As always, thank you, Father Peter. May we all have your blessings. 🙏
I'm a protestant and I find this teaching sound doctrine. I don't know much about Orthodox but I believe the WHOLE Church of Jesus Christ needs to band together in these last days of Noah.
Thank you Fr. Peter. Is it possible that you also clip 36:57-43:15 of the same lecture? You explained well how Orthodoxy is the middle path on how God relates to His creation. You also explain well how Orthodoxy shuns all false gods and their worship, whether of beings which are obviously created, or of other false gods which are not as obvious. Muslims like to call us idolaters, so clips like these are great in the face of their accusations.
I understand it takes God's grace to grasp this . First we must seek Him and I say Him Alone with an honest open heart . God wants us to love Him before all things .To love Him before all things is to leave all else behind, including feelings, personal desires (sin) . God is clear in Scripture to love Him before your spouse and kids . So to love Him before your spouse ? Well same sex spouse cannot be for it is against Scripture . It's not a matter of prejudice or hate of homosexuality, it's about ALL SINS as well . God gave man Freewill, He also gave us a code of conduct if we accept to fallow and worship Him . That is the God of Christianity .

In my entire life as an Orthodox Christian, and I am 60 years old, I have never heard a single sermon on human sexuality according to the Christian faith. Thirty years ago, I exchanged some views with a beloved Orthodox Christian priest teaching a small Bible study group. All the rest I've learned from the teachings of the Church of Rome. At least they have some coherent teachings on the subject which they actually TAUGHT for a time.
But how can we convert others if we are separated from them? When they close on us to try to pervert our ways, isn't that our opportunity to prevail upon them to change their ways? Had Jesus not gone to Matthews home, Matthew would not have been rescued into apostledom. How can a doctor heal if he refuses to attend patients and spends all day among the healthy? It is Evil that fears the Lord, not the other way around. Let's stand our ground and stop running and hiding.
Yes, but Orthodox Mission works differently than what is embraced among the heterodox. See this book for a great contemporary example: uncutmountainpress.com/shop/product/apostle-to-zaire/
Isn't what you describe here similar in aspects to the Kolimvari 2016 decision to recognise the heretics as churches? Sure it's clear that the analogies are the same. Get the ppl commune with the heretics and before long they become heretics. Food for thought. Since I learned about Kolimvari about 2 years ago ( it is not widely known to the Greek and Cypriot Orthodox) I am astounded that the priesthood still supports and goes along with it.
It's precisely this. Including the promotion of sexual immortality. That false and heretical synod was exactly organized along the lines of demonic tactics.
Father, my understanding too is that these people were the most vile, cannibalistic, burning their own babies and children. Savagery in the truest sense of the word. I need more study. Pardon me if I got the tribes confused. I'm cooking and listening to your videos. LOL! Appreciate all your videos Fr!

Did St. Paul not understanding the words of the Lord when he said in 1 Corinthians 4:14-16, “I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Therefore I urge you, imitate me." Here St. Paul refers to himself as the spiritual father of the Corinthian church. When the Lord said to “call no man your father” He was not saying that this is a forbidden word, but rather was addressing the problem that many Jews of his time were following their Rabbis who were not following God but instructing the people to follow their teachings which kept people from obeying God. Similarly, the Lord criticized the Pharisees for following and enforcing their own traditions and requirements while not following the commandments of God (Mark 7:8). From the beginning of the Church the faithful have followed St. Paul’s words and regarded those priests who gave spiritual birth to them, who were leading them to salvation in Christ, as their “fathers”, not because they took the place of God but because they faithfully followed God in Christ.

Yes I agree. People need short videos, especially those not as versed in these subjects. May God be with you☦
Wow, the methods used against the church and humanity in general are the same throughout the ages. The Mystery of Iniquity has always been at work…
The antichrists are cyclical until the end of times. I learnd this from elder athanasios books
