Yeah, I reckon your spot on. I watched some of his videos last night. He was totally being himself. And I think being anonymous might have helped a bit. Thanks for the feed back, helps to know I'm on the right path. And a good reminder to just be myself 👍

Yeah, I want to. There's nonstop rain here at the moment because of the tropical storm. Will see how I go. Have you tried the steak restaurant? If not you should give it a go 👍
Ooof you’re brave with the food. I’m not sure I could have gotten the snails down 😂 I actually think the coffee in Vietnam was some of the best I’ve had. Topped Italy for me😅
Where will you be going next after Hanoi ? I suggest you to visit Sapa , Pu Luong , Ninh Binh , Ha Giang , Ban Gioc waterfall , Cat Ba Island and Hai Phong where the food is also very Ngon .
Hey, I was planning on going to Sapa today, but because of the rain I'm staying in Hanoi for another couple of days. I would like to visit all of the place you mentioned but because of time constraints I won't get to them all. Maybe Sapa and ban gioc waterfall? What do you think, what would you do if you could only pick two? I've already been to Ha Long and Cat Ba on a previous visit.
@@silas-brownIt's raining in the North, I'm afraid a mountain will collapse in Sapa. In my opinion, you should go to Ninh Binh (the Trang An scenic complex and Bai Dinh pagoda are very beautiful).
Egg coffee is originated from Hanoi. You went to the right place for this coffee. During WW2, Vietnam was shortage of dairy products. The Vietnamese chef at a luxury French Hotel created this egg coffee. He later opened his own coffee shop and sold this drink. The coffee shop still existed until today named “ Cafe Giang “. This coffee shop now is running by the chef son. You should come to this cafe to taste the egg coffee. You can ask to add rum or whiskey to the coffee. Of course, you have to pay a little more for it. The most famous dish in Hanoi is “ Bun Cha “. The same as egg coffee, “ Bun Cha “ is originating from Hanoi. When President Obama was in Hanoi for an official visit. And the first Vietnamese food he tried was “ Bun Cha “. He was with Anthony Boudaine . The restaurant where they ate became overnight famous. If you curious want to find out the locations of these places, you can ask the local or hotel staff how to get there. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful video. Enjoy and stay safe. Big hug !
I didn't know this history about egg coffee, very interesting. I'll have to seek this coffee shop out. And I like the idea of a bit of rum in my egg coffee. So, Bun Cha is from Hanoi. What about Pho, is that originally from Hanoi as well? Thanks for the great info 👍
Nguyet chicken pho ( 5b Phu Đoan Street, Hoàn Kiếm dis ) You can eat it dry or in water, it's all delicious You can look up the address using google map and it will be easy for you

Ok Silas and I’ll throw a Hanoi food challenge out too. How about trying Cha Ca (Grilled turmeric-marinated cat fish)? An emblematic Hanoi dish.
Thanks Mattie, I was looking for anther dish to try.
