Thanks so much for the video. I am from the Black Forrest, and I had the privilege to live for two years in Runcorn a while ago. I love the people and the area. So nice people over there. Stay safe and healthy. Cheers….
@@cAv_Media I was at the Rocksavage Power Station during the installation and commissioning phase. This was from 1997 till 1999, which is really a while ago. But I still have contacts to my old friends in Runcorn, and sometimes we have the chance to see us again, when we are nearby each other.
@@snoopynator4711 Brilliant! I worked at Castner Kelner the next plant over around 1987/88. Then travelled around for a few years and came back around 2005. Appreciate you watching my video. Take care and be well 🤟
@@cAv_Media Hi Chris, it‘s amazing how small the world is nowadays. You know, my job is to keep Gas Turbines running, and in my early years, I took longer assignments. So my kids went to school in Moore, as I rented a house in Sandymoore that time. They both still have a Northern English Accent, and my daughter still has the Union Jack on her Cellphone Cover. We came as strangers, and left as friends in 1999. You guys taught me a lot of British Humor, how to play football, and how to queue up at the Bus Stops (Just kidding). Cheers, Alex
Great views. I spent the first 19 years of my life in Runcorn but my parents sent me to school and work in Warrington because they didn't trust most of the areas. It's such a shame a town like Runcorn has such a bad reputation it does. I was there recently and it's still grim. I hope Halton council can turn it around one day.
Yeah. I remember Southgate. All gone now. To be fair it would make interesting footage. The round windows in the concrete and the lego house. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting 👍
Indeed Halton Castle is a Norman Castle originally the pub obviously was built much much later if I,m wrong blame Miss Warburton Halton primary school (1958 ) teacher
