I had a 2015 Equinox, loved it. Just purchased the 23 RS model. Lots of get up and go and a very comfortable interior with a bang on sound system. Only real annoyance is the transission ratio slow to respond. I really enjoy my new car, couldn't really ask for more in a mid range priced car
Would avoid the RS model with its cheap looking black brake dust wheels that are too big, noisy and harder riding and that black only interior and instead go for the much nicer premier model with the maple sugar interior.
sorry bro, but it's a matter of taste, I really like antichrome, dark interior, leather))..I've been riding this car for a month..I like everything!and the size of the wheels can be changed from 19 to 17, and everything will be better..
TOTALLY agree with you...!!! GM dropped the ball BIG TIME getting rid of that 2.0 which had 252hp & 260lbs torque. It went from a segment leader in it's class too complete failure with this 1.5 engine. Either bring back the 2.0 GM and GMC for the Terrain. Or up that 1.5 too FAR BETTER hp & torque numbers.
gm removed the 2.0 liter from the malibu and the equinox to make the performance of their mainstream gasoline vehicles as poor as possible. the reason is they want to convince people to go to EVs....which is really not smart. people will just move to other brands that sell ICE vehicles with more potent powertrains. gm thinks the acceleration and performance of EVs will make people buy them over slow gas vehicles, and thats just not the case. fast acceleration is maybe the only good part about an EV, there are too many other negatives though
Lol huge step backwards. They have to lame it up to make the blazer seem more premium. I paid like 8k less for the same car with the 2.0t in ‘18 With aftermarket tune and no other upgrades it’ll make near 300hp, it’s going to be fun to zoom past the new ones with fancy $$$ badges
what company did you go to for your tune? I heard trifecta is really good. i have a 2.0 malibu and its very fast but i heard trifecta can add another 50 horsepower and 50 torque with no other mods.

I won’t deny that Hyundai/Kia need to resolve the issue with their nav company once and for all to enable it but bottom line it’s a simple $100 aftermarket fix. In addition, the Equinox is usually the 4th best selling Compact SUV. Not the 4th best all around.
It has a pretty cool looking design, and I love that color. But with all this being said, it's slow, the interior is also outdated. Chevy has to either bring in a new generation of the Equinox or discontinue it. And get rid of that tiny 1.5 let the base engine be a 2.0 and if its gonna have an rs badge can it be at least fast

I feel that that engine is way underpowered for the size of the vehicle. That price should be 31 to 32k tops, so overpriced as well. I have the older equinox with the 3.6L V 6 and it's a much better vehicle overall and the engine to weight ratio and ride is 100% better than this equinox. Chevy you've got to do better if you want me to spend 40k on another one of your vehicles 😁
Nah, v6 it's good for trips or uphills, other than that it's just a bigger engine and consume more gasoline in the city, the 2.4 l whit 180lb of torque it's enough
@@deren_srt1048 I do 100% agree with you on the superior gas mileage however on long road trips having had back surgery the suspension and comfort on my 2014 is much better than the new one. I guess it just depends on what is most important to each individual, good for you not so good for me but hey different strokes for different folks huh? 😉

Please for the love of god don't buy one of these in base engine form. The response from the six speed auto is just simply astonishingly bad for a modern vehicle taking off from a stop. You cannot predict at all how much power you will get
I don't want to drive fast, I want a calm and confident movement from point A to point B, and I have enough of this motor for the entire distance..and overtake and not be the last))low fuel consumption, comfort,safety..That's all I need)it's a matter of taste and desires)) I hope that it will not be expensive to maintain and repair!! and good luck to you)

I've seen some for under 20k, with around 20k miles. For a small compact suv it's a steal
