Ah who remembers the good old days when the T7 was under $16k Aussie 🥴 The WR looks like a nice upgrade over stock but for that kinda money I think I'd be on an 890 😬 Hope I didn't say that out loud. Nice cameo there Bobby 🤙 cheers Pete
Ah Yes, I remember the good old days. It was early 2020 and the world was about to go mad. Lucky we got in early Joshie. And yes, I clearly heard you say ORANGE, and that's the issue for Team BLUE, The sales figures will be interesting.
Well done Pete! Another great review. That WR Tenere is a mighty fine looking machine. CityWest Yamaha were fab letting you ride the 0 klm brand newby! 👍😁
Nice review, thanks. I've just landed the black one with enduro pack and OEM heated grips in a competition (UK). I know it's a bike for all weathers and exploring, but UK weather starting to close in for damp, greasy, salty, snowy roads so as I'm not keep on shite weather it will go away for a while.
G'day Pete, Great in-depth solid review mate. They let you take a Virgin out for it's first run, lucky man . 25k that's up there in the big euro bike money, almost . Must be a gem of a bike if it excites Aussie Bob. Cheers 🍻
Loved the WR when I test rode it but with so much competition now it’s still a difficult choice. The quality/reliability is what keeps me coming back to it, plus that, epic, peach of a motor that sounds better than just about anything else.
Hi Richard, The T700 and the WR are everything you said in your comment, Go for either, you won't be disappointed. The peace of mind of a reliable Adventure bike is everything. I've done 45000km on my T7, no issues, valves were still in spec, at 40K.
@@FULLPELTAdventures That’s great to hear but I’m so used to tubeless tyres the last 30+ years, and how easy it is to plug them and continue, I do wonder about the hassle of getting a puncture on the T7 when miles from anywhere.
@@RichardS-qh8mi I have had mates hit pot holes and rocks and dent their rims with tubeless rims, then the rim starts to leak. So they have had to put a tube in to fix it. Kind regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures That’s a very good point worth remembering plus breaking the bead on a tubeless tyre to get a tube in in the middle of nowhere is not straightforward.
I run a 30 ltr tank and it's only just enough depending on the time of the day for a fuel stop rabbit flat is about 600 ks with no fuel so that runs out at about 40 ltrs look for the yz 450 pegs l have them on my bike and there worth it
The bike looks good. But I wonder that it’s pricing itself out of competition. There are a number of other brands with better specs in this price range.
Tbh I think Yamaha has gone too hard on making extreme off-road versions of the Tenere. I don't need to raid the world, just my office, Starbucks and some local country roads. I want a Tenere 700 Chill Edition.
@@FULLPELTAdventures tbf I think they just unveiled that in the Explore Edition, it comes with slightly less suspension travel, a lower seat height and pannier racks pre-mounted 🤓
Absolutely NOT worth A$5500- more than the standard model. That amount will kit out the T7 with all the accessories you want, including luggage, plus a fair chunk left for petrol.
Hi Peter, thanks for your comment. There will be many who think the same as you, and there will be those who are cashed up, and ready to grab one and blast out of the Dealership off into the sunset.
@@FULLPELTAdventuresAye, some people love spannering on their bike, some people like to buy everything from the dealer and have a warranty. For me, If I could only have one bike, it would be the DR650. At my age, fitness, riding ability and preference for offroad riding, I feel confident and in my comfort zone on the DR. However for those who can afford the WR, I say go for it. Beautiful, super reliable Adventure Bike. Regards FPPete.

I can see why Bob and yourself were excited! What a great looking machine. Now I’m big Kev too!
Thanks chief/Kev/Robotman/Scuba Steve, me likey for sure.
Thats a big privilege riding a brand new bike. They must really trust you.. Great job on the review.
Thanks Pete, Yeah CityWest is a great dealership. Super Friendly, and yes I was very Privileged to ride it.

How good is that to win a T700 WR. You are so lucky, hope you have plenty of adventures with your new weapon.

Thanks heaps Mr Will, If Bob's excited, look out mate, anything could happen. LOL. It ain't cheap, But it is quality.
We're currently in R&D stages for the World Raid bash plate. I'll post a small teaser Short later today for a sneak peek!
Thanks heaps for the heads up. Your products are the best. I'm keen to visit your factory and do a video if that is possible.

T7 is an awesome bike but compared to the other 25K adventure bikes. the new Tiger 900, 890 SAR ,Desert X and the 900 GS it’s lacking a lot.
Thanks for your comment, I agree its price is steep but the Yamaha crowd will buy a few.
What it lacks it makes up for in reliability not going to get that with euro trash. 🗑️
Nice bike. Thanks for the look. P.S Nice PC24 in the closing stills too.
Thanks rick, You know your aircraft. It's operated by the RFDS, sweet paint job on it.
Top notch review Pete always with great detail 👍👍
Thanks heaps Johnny, really appreciate your comment.

Yes for big distances your gonna need the fuel. A 23 litre tank is a good starting point. thanks for the heads up on the YZ pegs.
Very nice quality video thank you
Really appreciate your Comment. So glad you enjoyed the review. It's sure is a top bike. Regards FPPete.
Nice review Pete. Thinking of upgrading? 🤔
No mate, I really like my T7. Does everything I need. I'm very jealous of your new scrambler, you lucky duck.
@@FULLPELTAdventures 😁
If they made it a T 900 I would of give it a go but all your getting is a twin tank ,few more electrics for quite a bit extra money .
Hi Cliff, thanks for your comment, yeah mate the WR ain't for everyone.
The look is much sombre compared to first edition. Looks better in the day light!
The color really Pops in the sunlight.
Are you thinking of getting one Pete
If I win the Lottery, I sure would. However I'm really happy with my T7, Its such a good reliable bike.
The bike looks good. But I wonder that it’s pricing itself out of competition. There are a number of other brands with better specs in this price range.
I tend to agree with you. It will be interesting to see how it sells. Yamaha does have a huge support base of customers.
😱. What !! no cheese melt Cams with the Yamaha’s .. 🤣. Brilliant.
Thanks For your comment, It sure is a another great Bike in the Yamaha Stable. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures Yep , Yamaha sure have got their share of modern classics at the moment , it’s impressive.
Nice . Time to update ya reken mate ? Hehe
Ha Ha, It sure would be nice, But I do Like my T7, so many memories, we are great mates. 42000km together.
I'd trade my 890 ADV R for a WR in a heartbeat
The 890 is a very popular bike. I'm a Yamaha fan myself. The WR has it all. G for it. Regards FPPete.

They are all overpriced and overhyped you can get a nice car for 25K. On value for money would you prefer your DR650 or a world raid?
