How to Wear a Sash

- There are many ways to wear a tartan sash. In this video, USA Kilts shows you 3 ways that a sash can be worn to show off your tartan. Please note that sashes are worn by women, not by men.

There are different opinions on which shoulder a sash should be worn on. Some think it should be worn on the right, others on the left. We are not addressing those opinions and that debate in this video. All we are doing is showing you how to affix the sash to yourself. For the purposes of the video, we will use the right shoulder.
The first way to wear a sash is across the shoulder, chest, and opposite hip. Using a brooch to affix the sash and pulling it over the shoulder just a touch.
The second way to wear a sash is up across the chest, bringing the other part down the front, fanning it out, and pinning on the shoulder with a brooch.
The third way to wear a sash is offsetting the fabric so one end is longer than the other. Taking about 6 inches or 8 inches down from the top, fold over and affix the sash at the front. This is a good way for a bride to wear a sash so it won’t interfere with the front of her dress.

I am afraid there are not choices onto which side to place a sash. It is very clear. A clans woman wears the sash diagonally over the right shoulder secured on the right by a pin etc. The wife of a clan chief or colonel of a Scottish regiment wears a wider sash and over the the left shoulder. There is no discussion on this my friend
Unfortunately far too many people don’t care or don’t know. And of course some people feel that traditions are irrelevant because they want what they want either because it’s their wedding or because they find that they feel they are more special or more important supper because they say so.

Wrong. If you are going to make a video, get it right. There is no debate......and what is that thing in her hand.

Please don't make this informative video about a woman's weight. What does that have to do with anything, and why should she eat merely because you suggest it? I think she looks lovely. If she were overweight, would you say "please put that poor woman on a diet"? Maybe you would, because either statement shows that you believe a woman's worth directly relates to how you'd like her to look. And if we're going to pick about weight, why didn't you mention that the man had a bit of a belly, and suggest that he stop eating carbs? Just as ridiculous, don't you think? I hope in the past 6 years since you posted this comment, you've had a chance to understand why your comment is wrong - on many levels.
