Tombstone vs rotator is still to this day one of the biggest upsets in battlebots history, the shock of seeing rotator win that one is unforgettable to me, especially seeing the reactions of other people in a discord server i was in. Absolutley magical
Poor Bronco. One of the best robots to watch. I was hoping for a bit more from them in this matchup. I wonder if they will be back with hydraulics sometime.
@@SINTD_666 It looked to me like in most of the more recent fights posted, they were outgunned on the driving front. Like, the bot was durable, it flips great, it can take hits... but they couldn't change directions very well, and it was far too easy for other teams to get in shots at the side and avoid the flipper. Hydra, in addition to changing the game on the flipper tech, can turn much faster vs it's forward speed. It engages way more defensively.
@ your right. Now I think about it sometimes it looked like all the drive was from one end. Like it had passive back wheels. It would often swing its back end out on a turn. It was always too long I thought. Hydra is definitely shorter, more nimble, and more powerful. Bronco was really from another era. They never seemed to make much improvement season on season.
it's probably what i'd call his 'fight personality'. he kind of plays into the whole tombstone, ruthless killer act while fighting, and some people think that's how he is irl. most people i've seen who've actually met him and hung out with him say he's a really chill guy.

I like how Tombstone always gently parks backwards into the red square after ABSOLUTELY RAVAGED its opponent
And that's why Rotator vs Tombstone was arguably the best match of 2019, it was a barn burner to the finish
