Since it's first bulletin in 1982, Te Karere has grown from a humble voice sharing Māori news and perspectives, to a vital cornerstone of Māori media.
As Aotearoa's first Māori language news programme, Te Karere was built by some of the country's top journalists, and it's gone on to train many more.
As we mark the anniversary of it's first broadcast, Scotty Morrison looks back at it's history on air.
