I love how the Japanese make everything so beautiful and artistic
I love how she's not actually drinking it. It's like a Hollywood sip.
flyingsolow I know it isn't like she is going to gain any weight from water and tea.
Nice avatar.
She probably also did a spit take.
Ha ha! A Hollywood sip😂☕
she didn't fake eat that wagashi though ... haha ;)
Instead of discarding the water you used to clean the bowl I like to rinse my face with the water after washing my face with a gentle cleanser. Just make sure the water is lukewarm when you use it 😊
Love the traditional way. It's so relaxing to do it and it's like art. Every piece looks pretty from the chasen to the matcha bowl. I really appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture. I wish one day I will go to Japan. X
Yay! Now I can do this at home and it was so much easier to follow then some of the written tutorials I've found online. Can't wait to try it myself :) Certainly wanna try out this matcha company. Yay tea ceremony! Thankys so much for sharing!
A friend asked me how to best prepare matcha and I am very happy to have found your thoughtful and friendly video to share with her! I discovered matcha when stumbling upon a tea ceremony in Kamakura, Japan and have been in love with matcha ever since!
Thanks again for the great video :-)

I bought Matcha for the first time today and watching you video made my day. Thank you Angel you made my Matcha experience exquisite!
I knew all of this info already lol, but it's been a long time since I've had matcha so I'm glad to have found your video as a little refresher for my memory. Just picked up a new bowl, whisk and more matcha today so I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning now that I know how again. :P Thanks for the great video!
Oh yes !! Today I had my first cup of match ☺️
I don't have the wooden whisk or a frother but I did shake it in a bottle
It didn't give me the foam it should be , but I care the most for the benefits of the great matcha 💕
This was a beautiful presentation Angel. Thank you.
Perfect instructional video! Thank you so much for making it!
Can't wait to try this method out. I was unaware it is a whole experience. Thank you for making this easy to follow video.
I’m glad I watched this video! I’m new to matcha. I just minutes ago drank my matcha tea but after whisking it I poured into a mug and added more hot water to it to fill the cup. I did taste very good and right. But I didn’t realize it was not necessary or not even supposed to be done.
Literally the best way to clean it! Thanks so much for the tips
Love the traditional way 💚
Thank you for all the great details!
I'm so glad I asked youtube how to prepare Matcha tea. Thanks!
The foam is my favorite part of a cup of matcha
Purchased some today and made me remember why i love this tea so much 😇
Very interesting! Thank you for making this video!
Love the video it’s classy and simple
A nice and simple presentation on Matcha tea and the tradition behind it. Thanks Angel!

There's always that someone who dislikes every video they go to to be "funny"
Legend has it that they are called haters.
I learned a lot! I am new using matcha powder for tea.
beautiful energy. Thank you angel.

Lovely video! Thank you for the information. I trully love your traditional way of preparing matcha. I will try to get my own set to prepare at home :D
Great video! I love the matcha whisk stand!! I never knew there was such a thing, I always put my whisk back in the container it came in. Now I really want to find one!
Laur C were you ever able to find one ?
Love matcha! Thanks for sharing Angel! 💚

Thank you so much for the simple, yet informative video. I also greatly appreciated how to clean all of the items when done. Blessings to you♡
Glad it was helpful!

Yay! Glad you hear you were able to try the matcha recipe. :D
This was very informative. I learned a lot.
Very well explained. Thank you.
So beautiful!! Nice video😊👍
Superb Video!
I use the milk frother at home. :)
Great job Angel! Thank you, I had been rinsing my chashaku so I will stop and start using only a cloth. ;)
Thank you very much 😊 I just got my chasen today and will follow your instructions thank you.🍵
Awesome! I hope you're having fun with your chasen making matcha :D
Angel Wong's Kitchen it was nice to see the demonstration but it seemed to produce such a small quantity of tea, when I drink tea it's generally from quite a large mug and have about 5-6 cups per day. Perhaps Matcha tea wouldn't be suitable?
love the use of 'heft'
nice video, i have always love tea and can't live without them (seriously, it's more common to drink tea before and after dinner than drink water in my country)... matcha is my favorite tea of all time, and have always failed to produce that smooth bubble in my matcha, this video help me... thanks :)
thank you!!!!
Delicious
This is perfect for a tea lover

Thanks for sharing ;)
Good information here...
Awesome video, educational and classy and always a beautiful asian woman
Because of this, Iwanna try making my matcha tea too
Yes! I hope you do try making the matcha 🍵
thanks for sharing:) I love matcha :D
Lovely Angel :)
best regards from Brazil...
Nice video
It's intereting to know the way of making matcha in other countries.
I don't have a chasen, but I do have a paintbrush that you see in hardware stores. Those work wonders when brushing a butter or margarine-based glaze on bread and pastries. Will they be a good alternative to making matcha?
Thank you.
I love this tea, however I use honey and whole milk in mine. It’s so delicious. I warm up the milk then added to the Matcha mixture.
Ugh. I think I’m in love. Lol.
Thanks Angel, you were sweet & pleasant to watch & I learned so much! I need to get that bamboo holder!
Matcha fans HERE!! =)) MORE MATCHA recipe please!! =))
+Wendy Ding 😘
Good video
What a beautiful teapot! Where did you get it?
What do you use to film and edit? It's great!
Thanks for the wonderful video and guides . One particular question that no one had asked yet was the wagashi in this video. The wagashi in the video seems like a baked one rather than the moshi and what's in it? I would love to know if there's a recipe out there for this particular one . It looks so beautiful especially the browning and the soft crust. Thank you Angel.
Yes, the wagashi in this video was baked and it had red bean inside. Very yummy! ✌🏻
It's so aesthetic , it' like love at first sight. Hope you could do a Special feature video for this gem. Thanks a lot.
Beautiful ceremony. Thank you for sharing
please do the typical taiwanese cake, with taro filling :)
Thanks for the instructions. I recently bought some match powder and there were no instructions. Will have try get some of those things but is ok to use an over sized man mug, a small sifter and small metal whisk for now?
yes, a small metal whisk will work too.
Thanks. :-)

Hi angel, always thought if you could make any Nyonya kuehs
i bought some yesterday but i didn't buy a chasen. would a regular wisk work?i also don't own one of those electric frother thingies either. so just curious before i crack into this should i go out and buy a chasen or will a regular wisk work or maybe even fork etc. just any other alternatives? thank you for any help and great video.
Try it with a regular whisk first. It won't work as well as a chasen, but it will still work (just may take longer and is not a fun to use as a chasen).
Angel Wong's Kitchen thank you so much! I also will be going back to buy the chasen so thank you again for the advice and the video! Take care and best wishes :)
I thought I had everything with just the whisk now I need additional things. I want to do it the ceremonial way but at the same time I want to make a matcha latte in the mornings for work.
the sifter and brush seems essential because macha clumps up easily and I can't get it to froth just using a spoon.
Never saw macha in a pull top can, but the "Ceremonial grade" stuff is $$$$$
I have a question: do you pour the green tea from the bag into the container or do we keep it in its bag?
you have an amazing smile :)
Many do not know that powder green tea dates back to the Song Dynasty China (960-1279) called mocha where literati would have froth races. Each would stir their bowls of tea for a fixed time and the loser would be the tea where the liquid surface would be revealed. Mocha fell out of favor in China when the first Ming Emperor ordered people to drink loose leaf tea but the practice, taken to Japan earlier was preserved.
Oh goodness where did you get your robe cardigan thing, I love it!
It's from Free People :D
I love this. Showed me how to care for all my tools and what exactly I need. I didn’t have a proper bowl or a whisk holder and now I’m gonna get them as well as a new whisk that I feel I have mistreated. 😭😓
Yummy :)
where's the mini sifter from?? :3 it looks nice for removing a little foam while cooking meat stews and soups
Sharpeiluver check out bakery Isles, usually they are for Icing sugar
Can we take the prepared tea in a thermosteel to office to have it later?
can you please make 蒸し餅 I HAVE WANTED a good 蒸し餅 recipe
Hi Angel, will you have a 湯圓 recipe for 元宵節?
❤️❤️
can i just use a egg whisk and a cereal bowl anddddd do that with a bigger smaller strainer?
