    Instead of discarding the water you used to clean the bowl I like to rinse my face with the water after washing my face with a gentle cleanser. Just make sure the water is lukewarm when you use it 😊

    Love the traditional way. It's so relaxing to do it and it's like art. Every piece looks pretty from the chasen to the matcha bowl. I really appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture. I wish one day I will go to Japan. X

    hi...3 weeks ago my wife and i star drinking green tea..just to tell i used to drink coke and red bull a lot . but now that im drinking green tea i feel much better a lot energy and the best i stop drinking redbull and coke so yea i feel very happy...sorry for my speling .. i just need it to said it to some one.. bye :)

    I knew all of this info already lol, but it's been a long time since I've had matcha so I'm glad to have found your video as a little refresher for my memory.     Oh yes !! Today I had my first cup of match ☺️
    I don't have the wooden whisk or a frother but I did shake it in a bottle
    It didn't give me the foam it should be , but I care the most for the benefits of the great matcha 💕

    I’m glad I watched this video! I’m new to matcha. I just minutes ago drank my matcha tea but after whisking it I poured into a mug and added more hot water to it to fill the cup. I did taste very good and right. But I didn’t realize it was not necessary or not even supposed to be done.

      Angel Wong's Kitchen it was nice to see the demonstration but it seemed to produce such a small quantity of tea, when I drink tea it's generally from quite a large mug and have about 5-6 cups per day. Perhaps Matcha tea wouldn't be suitable?

    nice video, i have always love tea and can't live without them (seriously, it's more common to drink tea before and after dinner than drink water in my country)... matcha is my favorite tea of all time, and have always failed to produce that smooth bubble in my matcha, this video help me... thanks :)

    I don't have a chasen, but I do have a paintbrush that you see in hardware stores. Those work wonders when brushing a butter or margarine-based glaze on bread and pastries. Will they be a good alternative to making matcha?

    I love this tea, however I use honey and whole milk in mine. It’s so delicious. I warm up the milk then added to the Matcha mixture.

    Thanks for the wonderful video and guides . One particular question that no one had asked yet was the wagashi in this video. The wagashi in the video seems like a baked one rather than the moshi and what's in it? I would love to know if there's a recipe out there for this particular one . It looks so beautiful especially the browning and the soft crust. Thank you Angel.

    i bought some yesterday but i didn't buy a chasen. would a regular wisk work?i also don't own one of those electric frother thingies either. so just curious before i crack into this should i go out and buy a chasen or will a regular wisk work or maybe even fork etc. just any other alternatives? thank you for any help and great video.

      Try it with a regular whisk first. It won't work as well as a chasen, but it will still work (just may take longer and is not a fun to use as a chasen).

    I thought I had everything with just the whisk now I need additional things. I want to do it the ceremonial way but at the same time I want to make a matcha latte in the mornings for work.

    the sifter and brush seems essential because macha clumps up easily and I can't get it to froth just using a spoon.
    Never saw macha in a pull top can, but the "Ceremonial grade" stuff is $$$$$

    Many do not know that powder green tea dates back to the Song Dynasty China (960-1279) called mocha where literati would have froth races. Each would stir their bowls of tea for a fixed time and the loser would be the tea where the liquid surface would be revealed. Mocha fell out of favor in China when the first Ming Emperor ordered people to drink loose leaf tea but the practice, taken to Japan earlier was preserved.
