I'm watching this even though I have the silhouette. I gotta say, cricut is so much more finicky than silhouette's. Another note, with the cameo you can change the size of the cut lines so you have more space for your stickers. I think more people have a cricut cause it's marketing is on point, but if you want customizability as a perfectionist like you are, silhouette gives you so much more! Anyways, thanks for the lamination tutorial! ❤️
OH MY GOD!!!!! You just changed my life! I went out and bought a laminator for $21 at Walmart this morning because of you and made two complete sets of sticker sheets is MINUTES!!! The material is heaven to work with because you’re not committed to a sticky mess and a waste if you don’t place it perfectly as you are with clear adhesive! THANK YOU!!! You have answered my million dollar question! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Step 1 get a cameo... after a year of dealing with cricut I moved on to the cameo 4. I love that I can control each line cut, creat a border around each sticker automatically, and it cuts near perfect every time. I wanted to cry! I still have my cricut but use if non print and cut projects.
this was an eye opener! i was always under the impression that lamination only worked if it was in the pouched and encased on both sides, because it was the plastic melting on itself around the edges that sealed it, and it was open on the side, it wouldn't stick to anything i didn't know that a laminate sheet could just be sealed onto a piece of paper
Very interesting that you are able to hot laminate the stickers. I have never seen this technique done. But girl, get yourself a silhouette cameo. All of this extra stuff you have to do to get this to work is really cutting into your creative time.
Super helpful! I was told to buy acrylic spray paint & laminate sticker paper to get that waterproof sticker, but your video is perfect!! I own two laminators, so I didn't have to search a multitude of stores for supplies to make waterproof/laminate stickers. THANK YOU!!
I use Paper+ for most of my sticker sheets. It kiss cuts the stickers and if you dupe the background sheet 4x it'll cut completely through it. I try to use the dial when I can, it's just easier to remember for me.
Hey! Glad I got to meet you today at C2E2! Still blows my mind that I saw this very sticker and could remember this video immediately:) so happy how helpful this video was to me!
Pretty cool, I find prints look nicer in matte than glossy even though glossy shines nicer. Seems like you could just laminate matte and it'll look glossy! It gave your sheets a nice shine!
you can save your printer settings as a preset. you can also tell it to multi print everywhere else if that popup isn't working. i use the lighter blade, sticker paper and default. when i've used less, the cut is very messy/choppy. the extra stroke layer was not something mentioned in most sticker tutorials. I'll be doing that, my cutter likes to cut unevenly around all the strokes with more white on the bottom than the top (cutting the very line of the image, not stroke on head so it's not weighted evenly). I may have a scanning issue as well. I don't laminate yet but I may in the future. this was pretty helpful.
The problem with saving my printer settings as a preset is every sticker I do has a different present, so that would be a lot of presets, I suppose I could definitely try that though! And honestly I have tried to put print multiples anywhere there is a spot but when the popup comes up it still just changes it to '1'.
I had this same problem with laminating paper so I started to use contact paper from dollar tree and then laminated it gives it a nice smooth finish and the cricut reads it as well with no problems ! Hope this helps !
Thank you so much! I'm about to buy a cricut and have seen everywhere that you need to laminate stickers but couldn't find a cricut tutorial anywhere! This was so helpful, I'm so glad you uploaded it!
check settings for printer to see if your printer is in "Mopier mode" that might be why it is only printing one copy. I have this problem once and disabled mopier mode and it resolved. very helpful video
Hey girl! If you use soap and water to clean your mat and then scrap off the dirt and hair with a card that you do not use, it will make the mat sticky again!♥️
Excellent video! Subscribed. BTW whats the difference between having a glossy vinyl paper compared to matte paper being laminated? Aren’t both the same thing, like being waterproof?
Hey u can make multiple copies at once. When u go to make it at the top left corner there is an option for project copies and thats where u hit the arrows to the amount of copies u want and it prints up to 11 copies i think. I use it all the time cuz i make labels. And this is on cricut design space.
I do strokes in photoshop by selecting the layer I want to add the stroke with ctrl/cmd+click then go "select->modify->expand" and add 5-10 pixels, or how ever many needed. That way the stroke flows perfectly around the lines and is editable with a brush and eraser if you one to tweak it. Most of the work is done in a few clicks and all you do by hand is the clean up.
Falney Sometimes I do that but if you’re using a brush that isn’t fully opaque the stroke will be really uneven and weird in my experience. But thank you for the tip!
@@ArtbyCe use the fill tool. I don't need to worry though as my brush is set to 100% all the time. I have variable pressure set up on my tablet. But then, if all you take from this is using cmd+click on the layer to select all pixels instead of using the magic wand then you are still getting something out of it
Hi there. In your video, you mentioned that you were having trouble with changing the number of pages you want to print. Have your tried changing the number you're making in Design Space? When I was making games for scholars I was able to print multiple by changing that setting in Design Space. Also, I saw another video where the girl put two pages of stickers through the laminator with a piece of cardstock in the middle (instead of cutting thr pocket), carefully cut the pages, then put matte tape over the black lines for the Cricut to read. Hope this helps!
This is supremely helpful, omg. I thought for some reason you just couldn't use lamination because they made like, air tight seals? And not actually stuck to whatever was being laminated?! LMAO
You can wash your cricket mat with just warm water and dish soap using the soft side of your sponge! The stickiness stays(: I had the same issue now I store it with a vinyl square so it won’t get messy❤️
Question, did you try multiple types of sticker paper before choosing this kind? I have tried so many but the ones that are higher quality are all too thick and actually get stuck in my printer so I can't use them. Is this sticker paper on the thinner side? By the way, SAME on trying to find videos like this! But props to you for actually making one!!!
Hi Sophie! I think this was the first one I tried but I know a lot of other youtubers use this brand. It is definitely on the thinner side, maybe a little less thick than cardstock. I've used it for years and love it so I definitely recommend it!
Hi thanks so much for this video its so helpful. I am having an issue when I layer the background PNG under the sticker sheet PNG , the Cricut only cuts out the background and not the stickers even though they are print/cut layers. Any idea?
would it not be easier to cut a white piece of paper out the same size of the green box and just put it over covering the green box while it is scanning the black lines? usually after it scans the lines the machine cartridge with the light and blade moves to the top and right before it comes back down to actually cut..you could then whip the paper out
thank you for this video i was looking for something like this, can i ask a silly question...i thought that when you laminate something like you have where sections are cut out...the clear laminated front would just be lose and come off? isnt laminated things just basically inside a plastic bag/sheet that is then suctioned inside? so if i laminate a a4 sheet of paper and the laminator seals all around the very edge of the paper...then i cut a circle out in the middle and pop it out...wont the laminate front be lose and come off leaving me just with the paper? really sorry i find it hard to explain i have a laminator and pouches but if i cut a pouch into 2 parts just using either of the seperate parts wont work will it>?
Hi there! Thats a good questions and something I thought as well in the past! I honestly don't know too too much about how lamination works but individual sections do stay on, I believe (I could be wrong) there is a slight adhesive that heats up so it stays on? Just be careful because sometimes these sheets will get lost in the laminator, I've had this happen a few times.
@@ArtbyCe thank you, I will try this see what happens, I know you can get single sheet laminating pages and not the pockets but all I have is the pocket versions. Fingers crossed it works thank you
Wait so is your laminator one sided or does it just work? I thought that if you stuck a sheet with lamination only on one side through it would burn or not work somehow but now I need to try it 😅
Lol just to update, it does work! With my laminator, it curls if I'm not paying attention to it but this is how I laminate and make my stickers splash-proof :)
when I tried to use the lamination trick where you cut it and put it inside the registration marks then laminated it, it broke my laminator :( how did you make it work??
Type a number somewhere else, select and copy that number. Then right click and "paste" that number when you go to print. Then you can print more than 1 sheet at a time :)
Honestly, I have tried quite everything and nothing works lol. I appreciate the suggestion though, and I absolutely love your work and follow you on insta!!
@@ArtbyCe Oh wow you follow me! How lovely :) Thank you!! Doing that above method works for me. It doesn't work if I use the keyboard command for paste, but it does work if I right click with the mouse to paste. I'm on an iMac...
Thank you for troubleshooting this process to help us all out! Unfortunately it didn't work for me with the materials I used. I used AmazonBasics laminating pouch (one top sheet only as per your instructions) and OnlineLabels sticker paper and an HP laser printer. My laminator is also AmazonBasics and meant to work well with their laminating pouches, or so I assume. Ha! Well, the laminating layer, set at 3mil and pre-heated, did stick to the labels, but peeled away when a free-edge lifted. The worst part is that the sticker stuck to the release layer of the sticker backing and kept me from peeling the sticker off of it. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I did wrong? I even tried hand cutting the laminated stickers to full thickness (not kiss-cut). The backing would not release from the sticker and the top layer would not remain adhered to the sticker's face.
I followed these and instructions and no matter what I do I run into the same problem where it only cuts the back ground and ignores the actual stickers In the center
Did you import the stickers as a png and also attach the images correctly in the application? If so feel free to send me a message on instagram and we can work through any problems! (:
Yeah they will after quite a while, these stickers are meant more for like your notebook or planner or something, if you put them somewhere where they will get rubbed on a lot they are more likely to peel up!
To print multiple pages just duplicate your sticker sheet on design space.. then you go to make it and it will show multiple and print how ever many duplicates u made.. and cut back to back.. 👌
Hi! I actually destroyed one of my laminator cus I only put in 1 side. I bought a new one right after and the instruction says I must put my stickers in a porch (both side) otherwise the laminator will roll up inside the machine. :( Does anybody have this problem? Should we tape it before or something???
Hi there! I feel like I have definitely had this problem in the past but my laminator is so cheap that it wouldn't be a huge deal if it broke, I mean I wouldn't want it to of course but I also have all the screws taken off of it so that is something goes wrong I can turn it off and take it apart to get the paper out lol. Also I know my personal laminator can handle this but they are all different. I would say maybe do it with caution but if you're worried you could perhaps try taping it but I'm not entirely sure how tape would react in the laminator, maybe you could put a dot of glue on the corners?
how do u get it to cut through. I have the cricut maker, and when I laminate on top of my sticker then try to cut it in the cricut and it don't cut through. I have to run it like 3 times. what setting do you have on it.?
mine does really well on “medium card stock” setting on more pressure and then i’ll duplicate my background 5 times and attatch them so it will not cut all the way through for the stickers but it will for the background. i’m not sure if that made sense but that’s what works for me (:

In Silhouette, you can just paint bucket the fill.. takes two seconds. You can also edit each point of the cut if you want to as well... I literally will never use cricut again.
Uh oh! I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not entirely sure if that has happened to me with these sheets but I've definitely had to take my laminator apart before to pull stuff out.

cmd + click on the layer thumbnail and it selects the items in your layer.
how do u get it to cut through.

How can I support you??? I’d love to support your shop!
Christina Carrasco Hi lovey!!! Thank you for your interest in supporting me, I really appreciate it!!! ☺️ as of right now I have a patreon and Etsy (links in the description) and I also have a few originals listed on my Instagram in the highlights section! Thank you!
Cecilia Jane Art no! Thank YOU! You’ll be hearing from me young lady! So nice of you to do all of this research - it’s painstaking and it takes a lot of time and materials and sticky crap all over the ground - but you gave us your work and I appreciate that. 😘
Will these stand up to water? Will it work on a waterbottle?
No they won't. Check out my How to- Waterproof stickers video!
In Silhouette, you can just paint bucket the fill.. takes two seconds. You can also edit each point of the cut if you want to as well... I literally will never use cricut again.
How do you do this on a tablet
what laminator does she use?..
even if I attach them it doesn't work for me idk what I'm doing wrong
Also thankyou so much!
You're so welcome! (:
My Cricut never ends of scanning any of my work. I have tried everything possible. Any help?
What do you mean? No cricut machine can scan. You need a printer to scan.
I tried this and my laminator sucked the whole sheet of paper inside and it didn’t come out.
Uh oh! I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not entirely sure if that has happened to me with these sheets but I've definitely had to take my laminator apart before to pull stuff out.
Cecilia Jane Art Lol it’s no big deal I just returned it I’m not saying this isn’t a great jack I probably just wasn’t doing it right! Lol. Thank you anyway for sharing your information and not being a jerk like a lot of other people and hoarding your knowledge. We’re all in this together 💖
Hack not jack😂
