You are so nice. Eloquently explained well. Mesmo actually had been puzzling me for quite a while. Honestly, thanxxxxx immensely for these clarifications. I really needed them. Can you kindly explain more words like it (I mean words with multiple meanings) as you had explained the verb ficar previously. At 2:20 you asked a question and you answered with yes. You mentioned in a previous video not to answer with yes or else we'll sound like an android. Remember? Your lessons are simple and awesome just like you. Beijinhos amiguinho.
@@SimpletonPortuguese This is your previous video where you told us not to answer with yes because it doesn't sound natural or we'll sound just like an android. But at 2:20, you answered with yes. What do you recommend us to answer with please. Cuz we don't like to feel awkward honestly while replying to Portuguese People. Your advice will be immensely appreciated. Obrigado. ua-cam.com/video/_WDrDYlxpnc/v-deo.html
Answering with "sim" is not wrong. It is true that answering just with "sim" can sound a bit stiff, but that doesn't mean native speakers don't do it sometimes. Did you see I didn't answer just with a cold, dry "sim"? When I wrote the example, it was just "é esse mesmo", but when I read it for the video, it came out like that, without thinking. Using "sim" before the verb used to ask the question makes it sound more natural, somehow. Also, don't worry too much about this. What's important is that you are understood and can communicate. Sounding natural comes with time. Besides, sounding like an android can also be cool.
OMG. You are the best teacher EVER. please continue making these videos. By the way, would you please let me know what content are included in monthly membership? i checked the website but didnt really understand :D sry
Thank you! I am currently working on new exclusive content for patreon subscribers. Now, you can access lesson video transcripts. Very soon, you'll get free access to a bilingual book I'm almost publishing and to other exclusive stories, plus access to weekly exercises on a cool website/app called padlet. It's the first time I'm mentioning these so consider them a pre-anouncement. :D
Yes keep showing your face--speaking some English. It makes learning more effective. And PLEASE include 'platypus' as much as possible and maybe 'kangaroo' or any marsupial of your choice.
Extremely helpful! I hear and see this word all the time but never understood all its meanings. Thank you!
Fico feliz por ser útil, Scott. De nada. :)
Great help, thanks!
You are hilarious. Keep up the great work.
Obrigado. :)
Great new format! Old headphones are like old friends...they choose their moment to embarrass you!
But I got so self-conscious I bought new ones... that I will break soon and fix with tape because my head is huge.

You are a stand up comic naturally
Actually I'm sitting down when I do this.
No filme 'Vertigo' Madeleine e Judy são interpretadas pela mesma actriz, Kim Novak. ;-)
(Checking poster.) Correct!
Thanks for a Sunday video. Now I can skip Mass.
Deus te abençoe.
Same as the German word *gleich* ! Love your lively explanations and plot twists, very cute!🌟🌟🌟
Danke schön!
Thank you although I find the blank background easier to concentrate on. Sorry, but I still think you have a good face!
Then you'll be glad to know the blank background will make a return in later videos. :)
