Humansville is generally played in C, but this version is in D. Missouri fiddlers Earl Ball, Fred Stoneking, Dean Johnston, and Charlie Walden have nice versions of the tune that can be heard on the internet. As a youngster, Hez used to go with his grandad to the sale barn in Humansville to trade cattle.
