He grew up so much. I remember that he sounded so young back then. Now that he's 14 he sounds like he's 17 or somethin like that 😮
I work with teenagers with autism as an occupational therapist. I really enjoy watching your videos, it gives me ideas and I love to see Gabe smiling and happy.

Yay, Gabe! You can tell he is in his happy place. My daughter is non verbal as well. She was born with Down Syndrome and she loves the wind. She definitely vocalizes more when in the wind. I loved how Gabe wore his shoes in the sand. I’m going to try that with my daughter when we go back to the beach in two months. We had a hard time getting her bare feet in the sand. She did not like that at all. Thanks for sharing his joy!!

this seems different than his usual dancing , maybe it's the sand vs a floor? in some ways he seems happier, maybe the sand is so different it excited him ? in any event he's adorable !

I have 2 kind of weird questions that I've been wondering for some time now and would really appreciate it if you answered them:
1) How much can Gabe do on his own? Like, when he gets thirsty, can he get himself a glass of water? Can he go to the bathroom himself? Dress himself? Stuff like that. And if not, how does he communicate needs like that?
2) A quite specific one 😅 When you buy shoes for Gabe, how do you know if they fit or not? Does he communicate when they're too small or hurt his toes?

Very good questions, people here don't often ask such obvious questions. We want to know and many are wondering. Yes does at this age parents still shower or bath him naked and even take him to the toilet everytime he needs. And brush the teeth, basically do all this for him. I and many others would not allow this and would feel incredibly uncomfortable if our moms at this age would do these things for us and be with us naked when showering bathing or going to toilet. Even with disorders we would try our best to not have that happen and do as much as we can by ourselves as otherwise we would also feel guilty and for a good reason

Is it the stimulation of the senses? The absence of people and too many chaotic sounds? I'm always confused how little he cares about the chaotic sounds in restaurants. I go crazy in situations like that.
It would be better if you would not ask them but him directly as you are asking something about him. Let him tell us what exactly it is and how it is for him

My best friends son Dre is autistic also he likes to laugh ,what brings joy to his heart is when he plays video games,walks and loves to talk and tell you about his week. Autistic children are one of a kind. ❤I actually use to babysit autistic children when I was younger I'm 50 today. Your son must love the beach 🏖️ because you can tell how happy he is.
Has Gabe ever flown a kite? 🪁 can see how much he loves the simple things. 😊
