Kate was so bad she drove Jon into a midlife crisis at 32. Glad he finished that and came out on the other side. I feel that he has grown a great since then with an actual job and another relationship. He appears to have a happy life with Hannah and Colin. Everything that still eludes Kate.

I was a kid when this show aired and never understood the extent of their issues. Kate just completely humiliated him everyday and criticized him. With airport scene, in the interview she down talked him once again. In the interview she said “I wanna follow you like I always do, you’re the leader of this family” LIKE WTF? YOU CONTROL EVERYTHING. Poor man didn’t know which way was right even if she told him!
As much as Kate annoys me, when I see her trying to be affectionate towards Jon, I feel bad. I feel as though she knows that Jon is really fed up with her but she's just so stressed out and knows that she's losing his affection each time she opens her mouth.

I liked the way he was with the kids. You remember he did all the bathing at night. He wanted to play with them and do things with them. he was a typical man. My husband helped but I never ever forced him or criticised in public. I could see him when he started giving up! ... he just wasn't there with her at one point. I could almost read his mind. She didn't even notice. Kids are a lot of work even when they come one at a time. Maybe they never should have had that show. I think it ruined them as a family.

okay...I see some comments of people saying, well she did it on her own. No she definitely did not. The show portrayed that but there was lots of help. She belittled him in front of the kids which is a huge no no. He shuts down and that's also a huge no no. She interrupts him and that whole situation at the airport was beyond ridiculous. She also seems to favor other kids and that's really sad. Collin has emotional issues which she knew about for years but refused to look into because she took it as him being a brat. Now he's in a institution. I hope he gets better. Alexis has been in numerous fights w.kids. Kate was always a fame whore. She put her kids through hell and I hope they turn out okay.

Kate was so bad she drove Jon into a midlife crisis at 32. Glad he finished that and came out on the other side. I feel that he has grown a great since then with an actual job and another relationship. He appears to have a happy life with Hannah and Colin. Everything that still eludes Kate.
