You need to put in a diode and a capacitor inside the train and you must use a transformer power supply to prevent electrocution I don't know why you want to this but idk
The WC Hayes 0777, if you're on the West Coast, seems to be exclusive to UP crossings while BNSF uses the Safetran Type 3. Don't know how it is on the East Coast. Very nice collection regardless; I'm missing the mechanical bells more and more with each passing day.
You know, if you had several Gated and Mast Signals, you can hook up all the bells and see what they sound like in Action, like at a real Railroad Crossing. :-)
The railroad crossing closest to my house has that WCH Triple-3 mechanical bell (or at least it sounds like it). That one works perfectly fine, though Edit: NOPE, I was wrong. It actually uses a GS Type-1 E-Bell, which I think is the most common E-Bell in America, or at least Alabama
@@kplinger Listen, I was younger when I made this comment. I got them confused because I honestly never paid attention to crossing bells. I'm more educated now, and I know how to tell them apart. I still don't pay much attention though.
Michigan used to be LOADED with mini bells and teardrops in the early 70's.
Harold Fannin then I gotta go find the survivors :)
Yep!

Super ! Comment avez vous trouvez ces sonneries ?
Safetran Hybrid Bell sounds different to Westinghouse Hybrid Bell from Australia
I like the Western Cullen Hayes E-Bell. He sounds great to me
I Like The WCH E-Bell Like Is My 2nd Favorite Railroad Crossing Bell After The GS Type 2 E-Bell
The "Hayes" and "Western Rail Supply" are the ones i grew up to. The real deal. LOL
What about US&S teardrop bells?
can you do speed tests?
In Australia, we have hybrid bells but it's a different cast. And the gong is coloured black or maybe gray
You're an expert on Crossing Bell repairs right I've got a Western Road Supply Crossing Bell but the twist lock is broken do you know how to fix it?
How much would you go for to get a bell restored for someone?
How do I operate / convert my DC powered train bell to operate on AC power?
You need to put in a diode and a capacitor inside the train and you must use a transformer power supply to prevent electrocution
I don't know why you want to this but idk
the WRRS mini bell sounds like the bell used on The Price is Right whenever there is a big win such as a Double Showcase Win
“Wher did this bell come from”
“A rr crossing”

ChachaChapati The East Coast mostly uses safe train type one and type three bell
here at the west coast the vally of California (southern cali) we mostly have tyoe 2 safetran or western Cullen hays type 2 or 1.
They're fairly common in Florida. Florida East Coast uses a lot of these but CSX and NS use Safetran and NEG
this video is how i found out that people could own railroad crossing bells. I think I was like 7 or 8 when i first saw this
I have a teardrop bell that is almost identical to yours except the patent date isn’t on the rain shield. Is it older? Or newer?
number 3 is just like the one at the rainroad crossing he in mount hope on main street glad its still there and works great

Johannes Jacobus I hate E bells

I think that last Bell is what most modern rail road cross gates use.

Hi there i was wandering what voltage for those bells? Plz
You can use a 12v Car battery to power those I'm not sure of how to wire them though.
Is it bad that I like the e bell?
No
Sort of
WCH is quality
Not at all.
I like them all
I think the 1206 required more voltage than your power supply had.
The teardrop bell I think it’s shed a lot of tears because it’s a teardrop bell
Ok, you are joking, it is just shaped like that.

I’m very happy how you just sounded the bell and didn’t tell a story every time. Also do you have any new bells? Thanks
Yes I added another mini bell, another teardrop (1st generation one btw) an MI bell and 2 GSI Ebells
Also forgot about the WRRS 222 pole mount bell. That one is pretty heavy almost like a teardrop lol
How much did you get the teardrop first generation teardrop for? Also how heavy is the mini bell?
Yeah I agree about the 0222 it’s very heavy
Wasnt too much. And the mini bells are hefty little guys as well. Not as much as a teardrop but fairly close
I thought they would be louder....
