Are you hunting them for the purpose of protecting crops from damage due to overpopulation or just sport? I'm glad you also use all the parts of the rabbit and don't let it go to waste.
The main reason is to reduce numbers, as they're very overpopulated and are eating all of the grass. No grass is bad for the farmer, and they also ring bark the orchard trees.
When I gut the rabbits I look for any signs of abnormalities and if I spot anything unusual I don't keep it. In this video the poison was freshly laid so there would probably be no way to tell if they had just ingested poison, so I didn't recover any carcasses. Better to be safe than sorry!
I never get sick of watching this footage - well done @SoutherHunterNZ

How do you know if your kills have been Poisoned? Can't to test them in some way? cheers Ralph

Hey mate, do any farmers pay you to shoot rabbits? I know way back there was a rabbit board but don't know nowadays.
None of the farmers pay me, but I do get reimbursed for my ammunition which I'm happy with!
Love your vids mate. Wat power do you run your scope on for majority of your shooting
I usually sit around the 10x but adjust quite a bit since I get a variety of shot distances. Thanks!

Great video bro what cal rifle you using ?
Thanks! It's a 17hmr.
Cool bit of kit bro. Does it add much weight??
Nah not really man, you're looking at around 300g extra but I don't notice it much as my gun is relatively heavy as it is.
