    Daniel is an amazing individual in-that he is not afraid to share ‘trade secrets’ that old school artists never could! Thank you, Daniel for unselfishly helping those that are truly interested in getting into the art and field of tattooing especially perhaps if they cannot secure a apprenticeship. God bless.

      Couldn't agree more mate. I'm in my late 30's and a home tattooist, only interested in learning the art and tattooing on myself, I have no interest or want in an apprentiship at my age, and Daniels videos have been invaluable

    So i can use round shaders to pull lines ? And what size cuz my stencil lines come out to thick

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  День тому +1

      Yes! You can 110% use a round shader to create lines! I often times prefer to use round shaders to line with versus round liners because they create a naturally bolder and heavier looking line. It depends on the stencil you are tattooing. Try to match the needle up as close as you can to the line weight that the stencil presents.
      I actually have a video where I talk more about this and show you how I go about picking my needles when I tattoo.

    Hey Daniel! I really love and appreciate your videos! You have no idea how much your videos have helped me in my journey! I was wondering if maybe you can make a video on How to find comfortable positions to tattoo on different parts of the body. Its something I struggle with & wondering if you have any tips and/or tricks!

    What do you mean by tapering in and out I know it’s to like make the start and ends of the lines to not be darker but what do you do to do that?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  День тому

      Monarch! I believe I remember you from the first live.
      So when I taper in and out I am referring to how I introduce the needle into the skin. I don't want to introduce the needle incorrectly as often times it leads to adversities such as rounded end points, raised skin due to to areas receiving more trauma.
      So I never just abruptly put the needle into the skin to avoid these results. Thats what those tapers are for I feel. I actually have some videos on this where I talk in depth about why I use tapers on every single line I create, or almost every line.

    It looks like you’re ‘riding the tube’ here Daniel. ?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  День тому +2

      That is a great question! I am actually not riding the tube. It could be the angle I used for this video, combined with some pooling.
      It is hard to say for sure but I did hang my needle out far enough to not ride the tube. There is also no plastic line from the cartridge touching the fake skin, this is something I look for when riding the tube. That or a really messy workflow where we can't really see the needle tip.
      I did ride the tube when I drove the needle into the skin to demonstrate what we DON'T do haha. But it is not intended to be viewed as technically correct when I am demonstrating how it is technically not correct.
