Here's why wwe won't turn cena heel pr change his character. John cena has become known as the guy children look up to. Never give up to children with cancer, who are dying, who are sick all of them. John cena inspire s them to keep moving forward. If they change john cena, then they're basically just throwing all of that inspiration away. I personally think it is good that john cena is the way he is because there aren't that many people in the business that has such an impact on people who are going through something. Just something to think about.

Sorry, but Cena won't ever break that. Even if he gets to 24 by the grace of Satan, he'll only have held 24 WWE titles, not NWA, WCW AND WWF titles. Flair is one of, if not THE greatest champion of all time, Cena is nowhere near that and will never be near that.

Cena has probably garnered the most *eye roles* from myself out of any other wrestler to date. He does come across as phony, corny, cringworthy. He does have the talent to be more intriguing which makes it all the more frustrating to watch. The only way I ever want to see him win the world title again, is if he turned into a fully fledged heel and used that heel run to produce the next big babyface.

The some casual fan may think hes the greatest, but marks like myself and others know he can't touch Natch, "if you wheeel." Two things, in my eyes, is:
#1 Flair wrestled on multiple territories hostile fans. Flair has wrestled in elements that was not in his favor on a weekly basis. Fighting the likes of Lawler in Memphis, Von Erich in Texas, or Inoki in Korea. From Portland to Japan Flair has wrestled them all while holding the coveted NWA Title. Cena is a territory champion who only wrestled in one federation as champion.
#2 The level of competition. This is what separates Flair from everyone in the field. Name the wrestler an he has wrestled them. Hogan, Steamboat, Piper, Valentine, Rhodes, Savage, Race, Wahoo, Koloff, T.A. and others. Not only that, he challenged other World Champions Title vs Title like Rick Martel (AWA) and Bob Backlund (WWWF). Again Cena wrestled around the world also but he never faced people outside the WWE establishment and definitely not faced other federations World Title holder like IWGP, or ROH.
Flair's record should stay intact for at least 2 decades imo. The wrestler to break his record isn't there yet

On the one hand, I can understand why he would deserve to break it, and really it's for every reason mentioned in the article. On the other hand, I kind of always figured it would have been Triple H (13), and it probably would have if he'd stayed in ring, rather than moving over to corporate. Even The Rock (10) had he not left for Hollywood, and Edge (11) had he not been permanently sidelined by injury both could have done it. Randy Orton is the only other person even close at 12.
Still, I'm pretty sure that it'll likely happen, and it doesn't really bother me. Unlike many who hate Cena blindly, refusing to see anything positive about him, I can take a step back from my own personal fandom, and see the bigger picture. Frankly, Cena is probably the most likely, because he's the closest, but like the article said, he's not the only one within striking distance that could have, and would have been more likely to do so.
Triple H should have, but he sent corporate, The Rock should have, but he left for Hollywood, Edge should have, but he got seriously injured. Randy Orton is the only one left that can probably do it, but like the article said, Cena is closer, so he's the one most likely to do it.
Cena never pulled seven days a week, twice on Saturdays, twice on Sundays with multiple TV spots thrown in. Most of those nights wrestling one hour time limit draws. Vince McMahon's revisionist history will always be noted as a complete joke.

heres something that will be talked about a lot if cena does tie or surpass flair, Ric Flair has a total of 21-22 world titles (NWA, WCW, WWE) but in the WWE and WCW he only has 16......Cena has 15, which were all in WWE! so I don't think WWE is going by any other major wrestling company outside of the WWE/F and WCW. But if you want overall, then even if cena gets 17, flair will have 22..

Here's the deal. Cena gets on his knees for McMahon, does a bunch of charity work (which is all kayfabe to me), supports the troops (kayfabe), works hard (kayfabe), so that's why he is where he is. Cena cannot wrestle, he cannot work the mic, he has no wrestling psychology, etc. Whenever he has a match, all of these other wrestlers have to get involved in order to make a good match. If it was simply Cena vs. whomever, it would be a horrible match. Cena sucks, and not liking Cena is not a "fad", it's not being an "internet fan", it's having an opinion, and enjoying real wrestling.
