Arthur S. Maxwell, a Seventh-day Adventist, was a prolific and excellent author. His son C. Mervyn Maxwell, also an Adventist, wrote two of the best books on Daniel and Revelation I've ever read. Those books are titled God Cares Vol. 1 (Daniel) and God Cares Vol. 2 (Revelation). Both are soft bound and beautifully illustrated.
Hi Joe! Thanks for the very interesting book review. I love books like this with beautiful illustrations & are vintage. I immediately went on eBay & bought a near mint condition one!! There are loads of copies available on eBay if anyone is interested & are reasonably priced. They are all previously owned but they look like they’re in very good condition. Thanks again for the video review of ‘Your Bible and You’ by Arthur Maxwell. God bless! 💜🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
In 1959, I was a Freshman in High School...we thought we were modern. Men did wear suits for many occasions. The world was a bit more formal then. Thank you for sharing this book with us...
Definitely from another time! Looks like something you find tucked away at your grandmother's house. A few years ago I got very into the classic crime films from that time, the "film noir" period. One of my favorite aspects of those films is how they show the darker side of the late 1940s and 1950s, it wasn't all Technicolor musicals!
@@joest.eggbenedictus1896 Oh boy! That's tough... I'll limit myself to three, or well, four: The Asphalt Jungle (1950) is a solid straight up crime film with memorable characters. Bonus: Marylin Monroe in a minor role before she was famous! Out of the Past (1947) The plot is messy but it doesn't matter, it's all about the great film noir style and dialogue and a solid femme fatale! The Big Sleep (1946) A bit lighter than the other recommendations, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall are excellent, and it's probably easy to find. Solid entertaining noir! The 1978 remake isn't too bad but I prefer the original. Sweet Smell of Success (1958) One of my absolute favorite films. It's incredibly dark and cynical for its time and even today, but very memorable and a movie I recommend for any fan of solid film dialogue.
what are mystics doing here if you go to church as they are 'sorcerers' according to the bible. Hopefully they will realise they are eating off the wrong table (very dangerous table) God bless
