I don't mind MIUI being a fairly heavy skin, my problem is that it isn't well optimized. It makes sense because they can't keep up with the hundreds of models they have to apply the new skin with every year. I wish they'd lessen the release of models and focus instead on the software at least a little more now.
I read in some news that Xiaomi CEO push their developer to develop individuals UI for their sub brand. So they expect Poco, Redmi, and Xiaomi will have their own UI in the future even tho i believe it will base on MIUI but at least their field is shrink with spesific subbrand
@@adilfadhilah4334 We'll see what that entails. For me, as long as the UI is less buggy, less laggy and more efficient, I'm all for it. I'm considering swapping to another brand right now, despite rooting for Xiaomi ever since I got my first device from them.
Agree. Just like the other companies like Samsung and Apple, took a year or 2 to launch their newest device and focus on their ui's and other stuff to improve their phone's capability.
I got the update yesterday on my Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE ( MIUI 13 based on Android 12), There's not much difference between MIUI 12.5 and 13 but I noticed my device is very responsive and the font is changed. Sadly there's no global theming like the Android 12 on the pixel or the Samsung version of Android 12. I don't know why Xiaomi sticked to the same UI as the old 12.5 version.
I prioritize a light and well optimized OS system over more features. It is more friendly to a phone battery lifespan. Some phone brands also have animation frame stuttering problems when you open, close or slide apps regardless of how many times you update your os cos their software engineers are simply not good in this area. Running a heavy os can made the phone feel bloated and sluggish sometimes.
Same here, glad I got the Xperia 1 III which is pretty much stock Android + high-end hardware. It feels extremely smooth and responsive, much so compared to any other phone out now.
Facts. Phone brands should focus more in optimizing more their OS/UI because I could careless about new features. As long as I have a smooth, fluid, and buttery phone I am all good.
Well to be honest, miui battery usage is pretty good compared to any aosp rom i use on them, miui beat them in battery usage but performance aosp based rom is way better
I got MIUI 13 on Android 12 on my Xiaomi 11T today, and it is so underwhelming! There are no adaptive icons and no new UI changes. First off, I still can't use custom icons on default launcher, and if I use a third party launcher, I can't use gestures. This is so ridiculous! 😕 The only difference is that the cards in Google feed are super large and "in your face".
You can't use gesture with 3rd party launcher, it's an android limitation. However you can mix an match themes to suit your needs, I use notification shade from a theme, stock boot animation and icons from a pixel theme. You can find customise theme option in the 'me' section of themes app.
@@akhilshankarb18 I already have it installed. Been using Lawnchair since it came out, even on my old phone. But again, I can't use default gestures with it. I know there is an app for gestures as well, but all these situations aren't as smooth and seamless as default launcher, sadly.
@@Atmaspeaks Yes I know, but most of the themes in the Themes app aren't great. They mostly look cheap, IMO, and still don't allow me to use the custom icons pack of my wish.

I remember back in Redmi Note 3 days, my device got a MIUI upgrade without Android upgrade and later on the Droid upgrade arrived but it didn't change anything at all Lol
Nothing exciting to see here unfortunately. Able to remove that search bar from the home screen? Home screen looping? Navigation buttons? The search bar is removable but there isn't home screen looping and there are Navigation Buttons in which the BACK button can be put on either side. Wow I got MIUI 13 Android 12 based for my almost a year Redmi Note 10 Pro
It's a disappointment with a lot of bugs and some apps not running on miui 13 Redmi note 10 pro
@GSMArena official When you show the full review Redmi note 11 pro 5g?
I love how you explain it
The screenshot editor is same as the one on my poco f3 miui 12.5 enhanced
So basically 9 out those 11 "key new features" are thing already in MIUI 12
Able to remove that search bar from the home screen? Home screen looping? Navigation buttons?
The search bar is removable but there isn't home screen looping and there are Navigation Buttons in which the BACK button can be put on either side. If you install another launcher you won't be able to use Gesture Navigation.
The downside of the phone is I've had to uninstall, disable more crap than I've had to on any other brand I've used.
It is sad that the Redmi note 11 smartphones get this edition instead of the fully fledged android 12 release, but, for this kind of money, what was I expecting
Is this Redmi note11 pro 5G global?
The only reason why I'm sticking with Xiaomi despite it's UI being so shytti is because of I can multi-task like A LOT!! I have the Mi 11 Lite LTE version and I'm using it during my webinars while I multi task like opening chrome to answer surveys. Other than that I have other complains. (Any other phone recommendations that have a floating window feature?)
Fuck, any phone have multitasking now
@@masteroftrumpetsedited272 you mean like pop-up windows?? I prefer Pop-up windows than split screen. And I haven't seen it with other phones yet (wasn't highlighted in phone reviews)
@@whee_indaMOO yes, thats a feature of android 11
@@masteroftrumpetsedited272 eh? I think not all though. Can you please cite phone models that have that?
@@whee_indaMOO realme, poco, oppo, samsung, and iphone(their newer stuff)
Many Redmi note 10 pro after updating the camera is not working anymore
I can't lock the google calender with app lock in security under lastest update miui 13, what can I do?
So almost NO DIFFERENCE between MIUI 12.5 and 13? Got it.
Maybe you should've led with what phone model gets this? Coz my phone being a mi 9t pro, I got the miui 12.5 on android 11 but I still have to hear from xiaomi if they're going to release miui 13 on mine as well.
Hi guys, something very odd appen to my Redmi Note 9S, the sky settings are gone, i cant change the sky on my pictures anymore, is it because of some sort of update?😳 Does anyone know?😳
His hand jiggle more while tasking 😂
i was hoping that the square messenger would be fixed... sadly it wasnt
bruh this is brand new to me didnt knew until now 0:46
Gsmarena is so underrated
after updating to the latest version, theres problem with playing videos on youtube or on other app. some app are irreponsive and laggy. videos cant play. it keep loading. im using a mi note 10s by the way
If only MIUI is well optimized users have nothing to complain for. I'd rather pick Samsung devices over Xiaomi regardless of how extravaganza the specs of Xiaomi are. Specs are useless when the UI is buggy. I'm really disappointed with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 Pro.
WILL CUT HIS HAIR OMG. It looks so cool 👌
Is my XIAOMI 11 PRO 5G approved for the MIUI 13 package?
Hello i need help !!
I have a problem with my phone (Xiaomi Redmi note 9s 4/64) MIUI13
When i rebooted my phone last week the SD Card Feature disappeared so I can't connect any SD Card anymore because of that... The button "Mount SD Card" is gone...

i have MIUI 13 But I don't have the notification effect option there 😭🤔
If someone has 11T Pro please tell me if MIUI 13 improves performance, and does it ruin the battery endurance?
Hey will got miui 13 with Android 12 and it's not good no dark mode for individual apps that gone no new control centre no adaptive theme not good at all
Please Help.
I want a solution. In MIUI 12 or 12.5, when I connect my headphone to my mobile and playing PUBG or other games it was show 2 volume controls/slider. One is gaming sound and another is microphone sound controller. It was very useful when playing games. But after updating MIUI 13 and when I connected headphone it has showing single volume controller/slider. Please help how to get old sound control system.
My Xiaomi 11T got hot after the new update while playing games and taking pictures 😑.
DONT BUY XIAOMI, I HAVE IT AND THERE IS A REASON BEHIND THAT SMALL PRICE YOU PAY FOR THEM , BELIEVE ME. IN SO MANY WAYS
MIUI 13 or RealmeUi 3.0 which one is better
Some of this feature are missing in my redmi note 11 Miui 13.0.10
Redmi note 11 series =
Android versions: 1 (Android 11 to 12)
MIUI versions: 3 (Miui 13 to Miui 16)
Security updates: 3 years, patches every 90 days (Approx)
Will it include Mi 10T?
Hi can somebody help me my notification and chrome is not dark themed anymore its something like pinkish or something
New Subscriber Here From Indonesia 🇮🇩❤

miui 13 is the worst upgrade ever. it made my phones more buggy, overheat, slow performance.if you have miui 12 enhanced stay with it miui 13 sucks
it eats up 3 gb data to upgrade and all you get are new themes and wallpaper and font style and creates more bugs lmao.anyway chinese products are low quality
