      Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with how it came out too, it really does change the whole car's appearance.

    I own a 540i/6 hellrot and this looks like the same color. And the fact it’s a wagon made me all the more jealous. Do you have an Instagram or Facebook to follow?

    E39 - "The Bavaria Masterpiece"
    Arguably the finest BMW ever built. The six-cylinders are destined to increase in value massively.

    Where can I get all that bro? Literally everything you named. Like trim etc etc including the bumper

    I found taking the reinforcement bar off the cover was difficult. I also found the hoses to the washers were brittle when I removed it the lower hose to the driver side cracked and will need to be replaced. Question did you have to cut out the washer nozzle holes on the bumper cover or did you find one already cut out? If you found one with the holes already cut was it reasonably priced? Let me know where to find it. Having a hard time finding one, part number? Thanks. I have a 2002 530I

      I never said it was. Just wanted to try it out and see how it went. At this point I'm more than happy to have stuff painted professionally.

    how did you get facelift headlights on a non facelift car

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  5 років тому

      Easily! I just bought a set of facelift headlights and installed them in my car. They needed different brackets and I had to do a bit of wiring to get the angel eyes working, but it really wasn't that bad.

    • @BmwMe-uh9sy
      @BmwMe-uh9sy 5 років тому

      @@DannysGarage so you bought oem headlights off a facelift e39 and tapped into some other wires to get the halos working? you should get the clear tailights it would look alot better

    how much did it cost

    Is the fitment really this straight forward??

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому

      Only with an OEM M5 bumper like this one. The aftermarket bumpers usually don't line up as nicely on the sides so you have to wrangle them into place a bit more.

      Danny's Garage Okay yeah I was just wondering if the fender liners, air ducts, and such are fully compatible....

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому

      Ah, I get what you mean. The fender liners do need to be changed but the air ducts should work just fine. You also need to change the fog light wiring to work with the M5 style fog lights. For now I just installed the bumper, but I do plan on installing all of the other bits and pieces in the near future. My original goal was just to get the bumper installed before Bimmer Fest, which I did accomplish.

    Did you use M5 fender liners or did just put the bumper on as is?

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому

      I just installed the bumper as is. The stock fender liners do a decent enough job and I'm not about to spend $150 per side on new M5 fender liners, BMW raised the prices to insane levels.

      Danny's Garage where did you get your bumper from?

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому

      eBay. It was pretty beat up and was practically in 3 pieces when I started working on it, and it was Sterling Gray before. It was a heck of a lot of body work (you can see that in the previous video) to achieve this end result. I didn't want to buy a replica bumper though, so I figured a damaged OEM bumper was the way to go.

    Plan on robbing a bank to pay for all the M5 fender liners you'll be busting. They ain't cheap.

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому

      Oh I'm well aware of that. I'm just going to suck it up and buy the OEM ones once at FCP Euro, and then use their lifetime warranty to keep replacing them as they break.

    • @elementkx
      @elementkx 7 років тому

      Wait, what?!? Why wasn't I told of this before? Thanks for the tip!

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому +1

      Yep! FCP Euro warranties everything, including wear items. They're great to deal with and have excellent support, I can't recommend them enough. I pretty much buy everything from them.

      just checked it out, sounds good, I guess it's quiet up front when idling

    • @DannysGarage
      @DannysGarage  7 років тому +1

      Yeah, it's still pretty quiet at idle. Plus my AC fan was on pretty hard when I was filming the car with the engine running.
