Why was this so therapeutic? The internet is such a crazy place! We love watching what other people get at the grocery store. Watching people put on makeup. Review fast food items. I LOVE IT! (I have Ezekiel bread on hand at all times, sourdough is a MUST, and those “sour patch kids” are bomb! That brand makes the best organic little candies everrrrr!)

I love your grocery hauls! Just a suggestion, you should try buying items that don't need packaging/as much packaging. For example you could buy fresh arugula and tub of coconut oil instead of individuals packets.

NikkiPhillippi No we haven’t visited yet. The plan is to check it out sometime this year. My husbands contract is up at the end of 2018, so we’ve got a bit of time. We really haven’t enjoyed the culture of DC, and think Nashville would be an amazing change of pace.
So I was at Hobby Lobby and saw some Macrame plant hangers...I was so excited to see them because I had never seen them before your house tour. I got a plant for it and hung it in front of my kitchen window over the sink! I love it! Thanks Nikki!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I love Trader Joe’s quick meals. I’ve tried almost everything you bought. I cook most night, but I love how easy their meals are for those night when I’m tired or working late. Last night I made their fettuccini Alfredo then mixed in some cooked pancetta over steamed asparagus. So yummy.
That red lentil pasta is the best!! I love your grocery hauls, especially from Trader Joe’s

I love that everything but the bagel seasoning! I put it on chicken and pork along with other seasoning!
When you freeze your bread leave it on the counter for a few hours and then make sure it's double wrapped. It usually come in the bag but toss it in a zip lock or wrap it in Syrian wrap too. It makes it not get dry when you unthaw it.

Trader Joes in Nashville is INSANE! They're sitting on a gold mind and need to expand ASAP. They should definitely build one in East Nashville. That being said, you should really try the greek goddess dressing. I eat it almost everyday, super obsessed. ALSO TRY THE SPICY LENTIL WRAP. SUPER OMG YUM (vegan too).
My friend made me a recipe once with Arugula and it was the absolute best.
Baked sweet potato with black beans and cheese melted onto it, topped with a poached egg and fresh arugula.
I get super excited when I see a thumbnail of Nikki and the words Trader Joe's Haul. So much so, that I stopped studying for my Criminal Law midterm 😂

I’m from California too and moved two hours outside of Nashville. I really drove to Nashville last weekend (maybe just to go to Trader Joe’s)... and it was so busy I couldn’t even shop I was so devastated 😂

I just had the unexpected cheddar cheese this morning with my eggs! My favorite cheese hands down I put it in everything!! I used to work at Trader Joe’s so I really love the products!
If you havent seen rotten on netflix. You should really see where your honey is sourced. Most honey is cut with other products. Find a local bee farmer. Just a suggestion. I only vuy from my bee friends.

Google Nigella Lawson potato bread. Or actually, I say go ahead and get her Forever Summer book. I know in republication they changed the name but it should show up by typing that. I’m pretty sure it’s in that book 😬. I know she’s not a Vegetarian chef or vegan but her more vegetable based recipes are absolutely delicious!
Can you do a video on how to change your eating habits? Like where you find meal ideas etc. we eat the same unhealthy stuff each week

I LOVE Trader Joes! We buy many of the same things for our home! Have you ever had the cheddar with caramelized onions? I just got it for the first time and it is DELICIOUS! I also just got a couple of crazy Greek yogurt flavors I hadn't tried yet...avocado citrus and match green tea!
I live in Nashville and it is so hard to find sourdough bread! BUT I found it at Aldi's, and it's super good! :) They also carry a lot of Trader Joe's foods for half the price!
When making hummus peel the outer skin from the bean. It will give you smooth hummus.
Sourdough bread is a hugely Californian thing. I didn't realize it either until my mom moved to Wisconsin and it's so hard to find it there. That and tri-tip! I had no idea that tri-tip was mainly just in California.
i LOVE that everything but the bagel seasoning! i put it on avocado toast alllllll the time with some tomato and thiny sliced red onion!

I’m so glad you showed the Panko crumbs. I just came from the grocery store and my phone autocorrected something on my list and changed it to Pablo. LOl, I have been wracking my brain for what it was! Panko crumbs! 🤦🏾♀️😂
King Arthur's white whole wheat flour has a 1:1 ratio with all purpose flour. I use that instead of white ap flour.
Hey Nikki I know you’re super “Zen” as am I so I highly recommend growing your own vegetables. I did it last year for the first time and it was an amazing experience. Even if you do cilantro, and maybe some chives I think you would really love it!
Omg that naan bread is sooo good and my FAV !!!!! Also thoes not then beans are good i have it chili mixed w/ another kind of bean red bean i think and its good.
My mom gave me a gift card to Trader Joe's for Valentine's Day.

That happens with that box. All the time!! The plastic tab seal thing doesn’t always stick. If there all individual sealed. Then your good!!!

I make my own two ingredient bagels that i loveeeee! They are 1 cup self-rising flour (which can be made by combining 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and a tsp of salt) and 1 cup greek yogurt! You can make it into bread, bagels, pretzels and so on, its soooo good!!

I just bought the TJ's blueberry green tea on Friday for the first time and it is yummy! 😊

I didn’t read all the comments to see if it was already in here. But the RX bars have more ingredients in them. If you look at ingredients on the back. They are still very healthy though.
Friendly suggestion to try reusable bags instead of the ones they give you at the store :))

You need to try the "Everything" hummus from sprouts. There are only a few Sprouts in Nashville so far but it is so worth the drive! it's so good on it's own with veggies but also as a more dense condiment on a sandwich or lettuce cups!
If your bread experiment works out, you could try sourdough bread. Sourdough starter is really easy to maintain and you can get GF. 🍞 Plus you can use your starter for so many other things.. Also, white bean humus is really delicious! Good luck with all your new recipes. Super excited to see them 💜

I absolutely love TJ’s sparkling water. My favorite seasonal has been the Berry Bubbly. Mine is already out of it, but thankfully I was smart and bought a case of it before it was gone. My other favorites are the Island Colada and the Clementine.
Try your Kroger bakery (where you slice your own in the machine) for sourdough. That’s where we get ours each week!

Hey Nikki!! I know you're all about health and wellness and I thought I would share that grocery bags become very excessive and can be super bad for the environment. A little tip is to bring your own reusable bags to the grocery markets so you don't have to waste bags. No harm no foul and you can just leave some bags in your car wherever you go!

That red lentil pasta is fantastic, but does not do well as a left over. It's wonderful with the Trader Joe's kale pesto that you get in the produce premade section. My son loves it and will have pesto all over his face and tries to shove the noodles in his pockets for later (he's only one).
You are brave going to the Trader Joe's in Nashville. That place is a madhouse. That ribbon pasta comes in a lemon pepper version. Pair it with the Trader Joe's pesto sauce and it is the best pasta dish in the world. Also, try Cybele's Free To Eat Super Food Pasta. It's amazing. It's at the Turnip Truck and Kroger.

With the coconut oil being open, it could of been when the worker cut the box open to put the little box on the shelf and accidently cut into that box

I've been attempting to make the best hummus, it's crazy but in the food processor add 2-4 tablespoons of water, SO much more creamy!

I make a great hummus with great northern beans, lemon, parsley, oregano, garlic and olive oil! It's "by feel" so unfortunately I don't have a recipe for you. Have you ever gone to Sprouts? It's another great Trader Joes-ish store in Franklin.
they have sourdough bread at pretty much any kroger or publix bakery in nashville! I'm from south nashville so I guess my stores might be different, but just thought I would let you know if you haven't checked there! :)

Great haul. Have you tried Dave's killer bread? It's amazing. I switched from Ezekiel to DKB because it's that good. Also fig balsamic arugula flatbreads are my current obsession.
