Hi Matt love the shart story!! I am 4 days post sleeve… I followed your advice with walking right after surgery… I have always been good with water.. I keep a 40 pack of Poland in the car at all times so that habit prior to the surgery is paying dividends.. thanks for the tips and sharing everything.. your an inspiration/ motivation/ stimulation lol!! Thanks again..
Just watched your video. I’m having a sleeve done tomorrow. Thank you so much for the your videos, I’m trying to watch them in order. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you gave the walking advice immediately after surgery - I now plan on doing the same. I also appreciate the emotional aspect of your videos. That is the make it or break part of our success or failure. I am trying to come to terms with my relationship with food as well. Again, that you very much 👍🏻!!
All that I can say is thank you. Thank you for your honesty, thank you for your kindness. Many people are sinking and can't see the light, but video's like this help save many. Many blessings to you dear one🤗 Keep the positivity coming👍🏽
I commend you also for sharing so honestly and opening... maybe being scared to death to eat is part of this process... so we see eating as nourishing our body for health and not serving emotional purposes. I look forward to hearing more about how you process these emotions and how this journey goes.
Nothing to be embarrassed about, it happens to all of us WLSers. Those artificial sweeteners can be tricky at the beginning. Everything is an experiment when you are introducing new food after surgery. You will figure out what works with your sleeve and nourishes you. Just a pro tip, when you are ready for protein shakes I would suggest Premier Protein. It is premixed with lots of flavors to choose from and the numbers are good, but is isn't as thick as some of the other brands out there. It really worked well for me in the beginning.
My doctor said sleevers don't dump...what a liar LOL :) Disaster pants is a real thing with both the sleeve and bypass. It is a trial and error thing to see what your new tummy will handle. Thanks for being so honest about this!! And like Ali said--don't trust a fart!!
