Stallone has a great sense of humor, and he was totally willing to make fun of himself and his Rocky movies. Steven Seagal didn't want to make fun of himself at all. :p
Sly just keeps getting better and better with everything what I’m trying to say is to all the rocky fans and to mr. Stallone we love you rocky and always keep moving forward sly
Agree, and if there ever was a doubt about his acting abilities, there you are "Copland", and "Creed", and, what a hell, he is great in Rocky, Víctory, and First Blood, too.
He is a really good actor he just chooses bad projects. Check out his performance in Copland for example. That cast was stacked but he was the heart and soul of that movie
He was an extremely promising actor at the start of his career but he chose to be an action star instead. Roger Ebert compared him to Brando in Rocky. But there's been a few acting performances in there which have shown what he could have been.
@@345mrse 🤣 Thanks for the laugh. Last I checked, it's you Democrats that are sending us to hell. You elected the most embarrassing shit head Ive ever seen. Biden is the biggest fucking dumpster fire in our country's history.
Stallone was a VERY good host. I wish UA-cam had the sketch of him as the former Orange Julius worker who stayed behind as it converted to a video store. Sly did a great job as a nebbish, jumpy, nerdy guy playing totally against type.
Oddly, Sylvester Stallone talks 'normal' and I can actually understand him. Unfortunately in some of the dialouges at the early Rocky series... not so much. He's like mumbling Italian-English American. I guess it is pronounciation thing.
Why did they change the music from the original sketch? In the original, they played the "Rocky" trumpet theme. I can't believe that NBC is too cheap to get music rights for this.
great actor....stallone will never die from our hearts

Yes great lesson learned.
Stallone has a great sense of humor, and he was totally willing to make fun of himself and his Rocky movies. Steven Seagal didn't want to make fun of himself at all. :p
Because we're all doing it for him
Stallone: “I do so many action and serious films. I just wanna have fun.”
Seagal: “I need people to take me seriously all the time!”
He is so handsome and intelligent..A very charming person..
Tina Fey said in her book that she had to tell him to enunciate more but he took it ok.
Yeah definitely need a bucket and a mop
Sly ok I suppose too
Handsome? Wha?! He looks like a puffy bodyguard for a mob boss.
I agree with that
These impressions were so spot on and this was surprisingly hysterical. 💪🏻
The guy doing Sylvester was top notch! lol
Definitely one of the most hilarious monologues in the history of this show.
What monologue are you referring to?
@@calvinsaxon5822 The one in the clip.
Stallone is just awesome! loved the sketch
This is perhaps one of the best openings.
This is the funniest SNL monologue I've seen in a long time and it happened about 30 years ago!
"You missing link!". loool
I'm gonna use that.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sly is the fuckin man, 1 of the manliest men ever and he doesn't take himself too seriously, humble and awesome ..great work sly ur the best
Burgess Meredith died 18 days before this episode aired should have been a tribute
That Micky impression is fucking hilarious!
Here he still looked like "classic" Stallone! That is: before he started visiting the plastic surg doc!
Love him anyway! :))
He did the surgery to help correct the nerve damage on the left side of his face that he’s had since birth.
@Iceman 23 The surgery was on his droopy eye.
@Iceman 23 He’s in his 70’s now. Of course he’s not gonna look the way he did then.
Don't forget the ' growth hormones ' too for which Australia deported him.
man, Chris Katan really did nail that Adrian look.... 🤣🤣
Sly just keeps getting better and better with everything what I’m trying to say is to all the rocky fans and to mr. Stallone we love you rocky and always keep moving forward sly

he is so hansome i love his movies. I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove you Sylvester stallone
He actually looks like Mr t great job at first I really thought mr t was on saterday night live
The fact that this is live tells me he's not as bad an actor he is thought of as
He’s really not. It pisses me off that no one gives him enough credit as an actor.
Agree, and if there ever was a doubt about his acting abilities, there you are "Copland", and "Creed", and, what a hell, he is great in Rocky, Víctory, and First Blood, too.

@@cockoffgewgle4993 he was better than any Oscar winner imo. They mean nothing
Yes he is a great guy a real success story.
Adrian was spot on😂😂😂
That was actually pretty good and am I the only one who got the happy chills?
Hes really laughin at that Adrian costume!!
Why is the Mickey impression is so spot on 😂😂😂
Lol facts great impression
Jim brewer did a great job as mick
Spot on that impression
Your stinking up the joint....rock ! LOL
Breuer was perfect for the show. Fired for such a petty, appeared on MTV reason (plus Kattan at the end LMAO).
Love you Stallone, amazing story you have.
Wow! I didn’t realize that was Chris Kattan as “Adrian”!
So this must’ve been a reoccurring nightmare which inspired the next 14 Rocky movies that came out after this
He pushed Chris’ attempts to kiss him on the mouth, real quick!
Ha,ha,ha, that's right!
Because he knew that was really a man. He is not gay.
Because he is a dog house owner.
He was like yea I'm into making some funny moments but not go that far lol
Never knew he hosted, and always watched this regularly. 🤔. Great impression by Breuer.
Know who hosted the week after you guessed it Frank Stallone
Always liked Jim Breuer, always thought he was a strong talent. Not sure why we don't see much of him these days.
Well, He's sorta nuts nowadays.
How is he nuts? 🤨
@@jessiecantor4299 he pushes a lot of Commie Trump's fake news and lies

omg ive always wanted to see this! Thanks for the upload! Do you have any more footage of this episode?
Oh my God, it's Frank from Rhinestone!!!
Wow, you're right!
"Yo Adrian"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How did I miss this one. Chris Kattan pulls off a great drag impression….😂 Priceless
One of the best openings on SNL ever!! It was great and then Kattan at the end was just the exclamation point!
He looked like he was ready to rip someone's head off their shoulders when "Mick" splashed that water on his nice suit.
that reaction of him is just like when he pissed off in his movie haha.. i like it..
Great acting all round!
I can't believe Sly was willing to make fun of his movies, wow, great versatility.
Yo adrian !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a Legend
This is some of Sylvester's best acting right here.
Fun Fact:This was Tina Fey’s first show as a writer
Dude, Sylvester Stallone is finally hosting Saturday Night Live once again and He’s the amazing actor I’ve ever seen since the day I met him? 🤭
Two of Rocky's enemies have joined the battle, too bad Ivan didn't show up.
Stallone full of wisdom,wise guy
Chris Kattan's greatest performance.
The man literally broke his back for SNL! Put some spect on Chris's name!
I liked Copland. It’s still one of my favorite movies.
OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU SYLVIE
What a cast!
One of the best sketch
Omg, Kris, so dam funny!
how is this a funnier monologue than any ive seen from the past 10 years on snl lol
"GET OUTTA HERE YA MISSING LINK" you dont here that nowadays, oh how I long for the "old" days
A true legend 👏👏👏🍺👍🥲
That was funny as chit.
Good stuff there ...
I’m choking laughing 😂
that adrian tho =)
Love & Respect ❤ Stallone
Rocko, like in the old days!!!
This is awesome😍
One of the greatest intros to snl ever
The best episode of snl ever
We love you so much Sly!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
His roxbury skit was hilarious. Put that up.
Crazy that this was almost 30 years ago.
My hero! I had no idea he did SNL
Well ... not a small achievement .. develop and cultivating that rather charming Sylvester Stallone character . being born Rocky 😯
The new mickey nailed it
Love him❤❤❤
He gets to show off his dancing chops on Roxbury
Watch Slys disgust when Kattan went for the lips which evidently wasn't how they rehearsed it lol
Haha, that was great!
lol the ending
Stallone is a guy's guy. That is why he is legendary. Stay true Sir!
he's the best.
This is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!
Burgess Meredith died a couple weeks after this aired
Yeah, this was a tribute to him and this perfomance is the best
Legend!
Stallone was a VERY good host. I wish UA-cam had the sketch of him as the former Orange Julius worker who stayed behind as it converted to a video store. Sly did a great job as a nebbish, jumpy, nerdy guy playing totally against type.
Jim Breuer is a terribly underrated SNL former cast member
that's just great :)
And who's that in his shadow?
You guessed it
Frank Stallone
I WANT YOU STALLONE!!
Bruer devores his lines.
Take away goat boy and Jim Bruer stands as an all time great! lol
“Not the face”. Lol
Oddly, Sylvester Stallone talks 'normal' and I can actually understand him. Unfortunately in some of the dialouges at the early Rocky series... not so much. He's like mumbling Italian-English American. I guess it is pronounciation thing.
He has some thing with his lip.
That is the only time Chris Kattan has ever made me laugh
Sly Cast podcast brought me.
5 🌟 of this sketch
It's a home for wayward spiders.
Tracy Morgan was the cherry on top.
Who else is just watching this for the Mickey and Clubber impressions
Not gonna lie, that music would have actually been a good training montage song
Why did they change the music from the original sketch? In the original, they played the "Rocky" trumpet theme. I can't believe that NBC is too cheap to get music rights for this.
I didn't even he hosted Saturday Night Live
