i like how a japanese characters like star saber is getting a lot of attention,espcially how unique the character designs are,we've got black zarak in gen selects,we got a haslab star saber,we got a diaclone repaints and retools in both masterpiece and gen selects, we are getting a legacy lio convoy and he also got a masterpiece figure,and we see a japanese characters in idw like chromedome and deathsaurs etc....,i really hope for more obscure japanese characters to get attention like ginrai,beast wars II galvatrpn and beast wars II skywarp,beast wars neo big convoy and magmatron etc...,and g1 star saber is one of the best g1 toys imo

Little fact. Before Generations Metroplex came out, G1 Victory Saber was the second biggest TF toy only beaten by G1 Fortress Maximus.
fun fact:g1 star saber design was the inspiration for energon wing dagger/wing saber,especially his upgraded form
I really want a legacy energon wingsaber. Bonus points if it's compatible with the original energonbprime
I never intend on selling my collection, so one thing I like to do is buy incomplete or broken figures and 3D model/print replacement parts. It both saves me a lot of money (if you don't include the initial cost of the printer of course) while also letting me practice my caliper and 3d modeling skills. I recently bought a Armada Starscream for less than $15 that was missing both its wings and null lasers, now it is proudly displayed on my shelf looking complete if you don't look too hard at it.
My general rule for buyee is to always account for the shipping being double the price. Maybe it’s just because I’ve used buyee exclusively for heavy book lots and entire seasons of sentai robots, but that’s generally how much shipping has been for me.
Now that might sound crazy, but the deals are so wild that even when your double the price, it’s still significantly lower than what you’d pay in the states.
I accidentally recently got a yellow fortresses Maximus for $30. However it’s missing it’s head, hip cannons, ramps, satellite, and guns. But it has been the coolest thing I’ve bought. Love your videos!
Thanks TTG for giving us a store to buy cheaper G1 reissues unlike the asking price on the aftermarkets. Personally for the 40th anniversary I hope they do a reissue of G1 Optimus prime

I cannot believe you got Fort Max for that price. I remember when I tried to buy one in the early 2000s and a G1 Fort Max without box was around 300. 500 with box. That being said the price of G1 transformers peaked around that time, before people realized how valuable they were and only a few were on sale, driving the price way up.

@that toy guy, maybe you should do a Live video of you shopping on buyee. I know you can find deals but I find that often the shipping is equal cost of the
toy…sometimes more! I dont know if buyee is offering to pay for your shipping for the video or what but if you double the amount you spent, which is what your viewers pay then you are paying too much and thats what I and some other of your
viewers see. I notice you never mention what you spend in shipping.is the price you are giving including the shipping? Like one lump sum? Was Fort max $50 with shipping or before shipping?
I love what you are doing on your channel and watch every video multiple times. I downloaded the buyee
extension the first time you used them and have yet to find any deals even close to what you are portraying here. Am I wrong? I sm in PA in the states so shipping should be too much different for us.

$50 for an mostly complete g1 Fort Max is unheard of. Congrats on that. I got the Takara encore Fort Max for $325 on bbts when it came out but was real upset when I found out later week later bbts had a sale it for $220, could of saved $105 but oh well. No regrets now since eBay prices are around $600

I don’t display my G1 stuff with guns, even if I have them. I just think they tend to look better without them. They’re often huge and unwieldy. That’s lead to being able to get some great deals - G1 Overlord without guns or the jet nose cone ‘shield’ for instance. Yep, I’ll grab that, I’d have just taken them all off anyway!

I actually found an incomplete g1 metroplex missing all accessories but in really good condition for $15. I was able to replace all of the pieces with 3d prints XD
When you buy from Buyee, does it convert your money to yen automatically or do you have to do it separately?
my g1 bumblebee cost me around 8usd...and that was back in 2007...i wasn't even sure if it was legit g1 or the reissue..still looks good though
How much was shipping? I've found a few good deals oversees but the shipping is very pricey even with proxy sites

You should mention what you spent on shipping. I did find a Star Saber on there, and a TM megatron, but the shipping was way more than the figure. About $100 for the TM Megatron. Sure, you get deals, but with shipping it evens out.
This is what I found as well. I wish he would disclose exactly how much it cost him.
I find myself prefering unpopular stuff like G1 Pretenders and Headmasters boxed which is expensive. I can't seem to get into any of the newer lines. Just some random Micromaster from Siege interested me.

What you don't realize is that Buyee is a paaaaain when it comes to shipping. They get you with domestic AND international shipping costs! And thanks to a certain C-Virus, the cheapest shipping option, if you can use it, won't get it to you for 3 months!
That's why I always say "budget for shipping" in these videos cause it's either a long time or expensive
@@ThatToyGuy Lots of hidden fees, and shipping is crazy high. On the things Ive wanted to buy, sure the price was good, but the fees and shipping put it over what i can find the item for in the US. So its just not worth it. That Said, a video of the price breakdown would be great, since IMO your video is a bit misleading.

Those prices are without shipping. With shipping and the service fees, star saber was a total of 75 ish (can't remember the exact number) and fort max was 102. Shipping from japan is a bit weird, it all depends on how heavy the item is and how far away you are from japan cause it's all weight and distance. As there is no flat rate from there (at least to Canada)

i have heard both good and bad things about buyee and i was hoping i could hear your experience with the site and if its either a scam or really worth it
I mean I've used em many times with no issue. If listings are scams buyee just refunds you if the item you order doesn't ship from the seller. But just make sure to read more reviews on the site before you buy if you are still skeptical. But personally I have had no issues with it, all you have to know is shipping can get expensive.

There's both. On the site you can bid in yahoo Japan's tab or buy outright. Or you can use Amazon japan through them too
