The World of Warcraft lore is so interesting and epic i really enjoyed this episode. Interesting how Rhonin grew to become a great leader and saved people even in his last moments of life.
Holy crap, that runtime. When my videos are about 6 minutes long , there's usually 3 pages of script. Now I'm curious, how long was the script for this?
This information is super useful and entertaining to me (being as I am a recent lore freak for WOW but never got to play anything before warlords). You present this information in such a compelling way, I cling to every word and love how you make the lore easily understandable. You have sub from me and I hope you do more of these very long comprehensive lores.
I remember my first time listening to this video start to finish, and at the end of this whole story, feeling so amazed. It was the first time a story truly engrossed me like that.
Wow, the ammount of work put into this must have been absolutely tremendous. Thank you a lot for this, it really was the best lore video I've ever seen. Keep up the great work, you have earned yourself a loyal subscriber!
you made me tear up over a character from a game I haven't even played, you truly are brilliant. fantastic video 10/10, Eds art was on point and I'm looking forward to all forms of content in the future from both you and chard (and the others but, let's not get our hopes up :P)
Absolutely love these super long videos :3 Its like a movie of just straight lore! I like to wait for the complete video instead of watching each part! :D Would like to see a video on Illidan sometime, he's always drawn my attention, seems like a really cool WoW character
Enjoyed this as much as I'd enjoy any feature length film. Which meaaaaanss... ya did good pig. Looking forward to more! edit: Sort of reduced to tears in the end. No big deal.
I hope people appreciate the hard work you put into these lore videos. Great job as always and keep it up! On a side note, could you do a story on Drek'thar? Maybe in a WoW lore video.
At 1:36:02 it sounds like you say Malygos was the son of Malygos, but it looks like Azuregos is on screen? That doesn't sound right to me, but I'm no dragon expert!
Nice, you input the subs for the Eredun into the WC3 cinematic, it gives it much more "impact" like that. Do you feel like the snowy place Krasus & Rhonin ended up in Kalimdor was Winterspring or just a high mountainous area near Tanaris, as WS in quite a ways from Caverns of Time? Ughh Garrosh walking all over Thrall in the Ulduar cinematic... I like how Blizzard took the Mana bombs all the way from Terokkar Forest and did something with it.
+Akul Yeah I don't think the author thought too much about it (could be wrong). WS is just the easiest place to screen cap a snowy mountain :P. No real snow round tanaris so I don't think so, though that location makes a lot of sense. Maybe a snowy peak round mount Hyjal as it has significant lore significance to where Rhonin was sent? I also wondered what the island could be where they were attacked in their dreams.
+Six Gamers I entered your channel every day for the past month for the last Rhonin video.I love you work man.You always put just the right amount of detail in your stories. Keep up the good work, no rush.
+Uros Popovic Tortolla and Ursoc. I also use Ursol when talking about Rhonin's interrogation as from the book description I feel it is likely one of the bear demigods that did this, though can't say definitively.
wait wait wait. the island that Rhonin and Krasus stopped at where they get attacked by some vague unnamed monsters and "ghouls". This says it attacked "in their dreams". I'm like 95% sure it wasn't in their dreams, they just attacked while they slept I think. Maybe just a phrasing issue and that's what he meant in the video? I've always wanted more information about that island and what attacked them because it's so mysterious. People say it was just Tol Barad but I don't think so. if they did attack "in their dreams" then that indicates Emerald Nightmare/N'Zoth/Old Gods; which would make sense given what happens in these novels.
+Gerald Hiller Sure! I use Adobe Premier Elements. Before that I used to use Corel video Studio Pro but I wouldn't recommend it. I still use it to compress the Adobe videos though as they're files are quite a lot larger...
+diokos “diokos plays” a I'm interested to see it. It looks a little generic atm but trailers will do that as you want bums in seats, looking forward to it :). Chard couldn't care less :P
Broxigar, before his end, entered in the demon realm and killed thousands of demons, attracting Sargeras attention. He then jumps to make a wound in Sargeras legs with the weapon Malfurion build. He is know to be the only mortal to ever wound the fallen titan. Sargeras killed him right after though.
+Potion of Kings Nothing really. I feel it's mainly death related as Rhonin is dead and I suppose you could argue gives arcane missiles since killed by a massivly powerful arcane weapon. But I'm reaching there :P
The "GET TO THE LORE!" annotation doesn't work. It just sends you back to the start of the episode. EDIT: Same with the "Get to the Rhonin bit" and "Click here to skip past part 1 and part 2" annotations.
So can I learn all of this from playing the Warcraft games? I did not give them enough credit for being so engaging and interesting! Would you say they're worth playing for the first time?
+Scotty I'd absolutely say the games are worth playing, especially WCIII. WCII still holds up though WC feels very dated at least to me. You won't get any Rhonin lore from that but I believe there's a guy that put his story into a map pack for WCIII for people to enjoy, otherwise most of his lore is in the books.
+Six Gamers Thanks so much! Always loved watching your videos as a huge hearthstone player but knowing very little about Warcraft itself. Keep on making great content man :)
God damn it, why didnt Ronin teleport the mana bomb away from the city? does mages in WoW need to touch something to teleport it? but didnt the dragon teleport Ronin without touching him, or was he capable of it only because of the psychic link?
The problem was that the bomb was so strong and so sudden Rhonin wouldn't have been able to teleport it in time but he realized he could take the brunt of the blast for himself
really? he had a good 30+ seconds of when he saw the bomb till it dropped, wouldnt that be enough time to cast teleport on the bomb? im pretty sure he could have teleported the bomb to the ocean...
שי גפן Not really because of how powerful the bomb was and also it takes a lot longer to transport something at a range than when he it is up close because of the fact that it takes more aiming. The dragons can do it because they are much more powerful than Rhonin so yeah.
do you the names of the novels?? I played WOW since pandária, Warcraft I to III and i didnt know before this video about rhonin before he was the leader of the council of the six's
thank you very much for all your in-depth research it's funny how the strand of three cords is not easily broken and what I'm referring to in that is how each character roll intertwines with others this is the first video I watched on UA-cam that I made a comment to so thank you for breaking me out of my shell hands down I think out of all the subscriptions I have in UA-cam your one that leads the pack! my battle tag is: ironmandwarf#1955 with all the blessings I can wish for in your future study's your new friend for life jeffrey aka :)) Smiley

I don't understand this. Rhonin is reguarded as being very gifted with magic, yet there are several instances of him not getting the effects intended when he casts spells. It seems like his power is wildly inconsistent.
+Makingnewnamesisdumb I'll let James answer this one properly... but to me that sounds like the best metaphor for Blizzard's game development #burn - T6GC
it's also dependant on the adversary. for example the dragon he fought would have had a natural resistance to magic. spells also vary in challenge, so others are more likely to not get the intended effect no matter how good you are, hope that answers your question :)
Well it's never made clear what spork he was attempting on the dragon, he just says he didn't get what he wanted. The firestorm was before he knew the week was fueling his power. The well used to be THE most powerful power source in all Azeroth before it's destruction. It's like going to run and some one pushed you from behind, you'll unexpectedly go faster.
+Makingnewnamesisdumb They're slightly different forces, the arcane has proved to have corrupting influences, where as the light has not. The practise of using them is also different. Magic wielded through skill and the light through faith and willpower. It's likely the arcane's ability to corrupt that Paladins etc don't like.
+Makingnewnamesisdumb It's unkown when humans started worshiping the holy light. So it's definitely a possibility priests were using the light to miraculously heal others. Like anything, people's ability to wield the light has probably grown over time the more they understand it. Paladins didn't exist within human society until just before the second war with the orcs.
No. The troll wars was way back from there, when the human's first allied with the elves, who taught them magic. This was around 2800 years before the first war with the orcs.
The World of Warcraft lore is so interesting and epic i really enjoyed this episode. Interesting how Rhonin grew to become a great leader and saved people even in his last moments of life.
+Andrei Bogdan Thank you! Really glad you liked it!
so sad that the card itself is not played, I really like the concept...
I really like these massive lore videos
I know these take forever to make and I appreciate it. Keep up the good work!
+Waffle wolf Thanks man, yeah a tonne of work, glad it's a appreciated :D
Holy crap, that runtime. When my videos are about 6 minutes long , there's usually 3 pages of script. Now I'm curious, how long was the script for this?
+Syyborg Gaming 22 pages. 15,320 words. Stats! - T6GC
Jesus Christ.
+Six Gamers you'd get more views, and give us viewers a break if you break up these long videos! Plz lol
+Jarsan Chen there were 2 parts of this b4 it came out
@@mtggeeksgaming5064 Three parts

+oisinholz Maybe one day far off into the future :P. Thanks for the kind words!
Rhonin may now be my favorite WOW character thanks to this
This was the longest UA-cam video I watched until the very end... Amazing job, going to watch some more now :)
+adam john Ahh thanks man :D
This was amazing. I really enjoy your content and appreciate the work you put into making these.
ITS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!! thanks dude
Such a great episode and the story was so good too
I am sooo glad your back James we all missed you and your awesome videos ;-)
+Vlad the Impaler I never left... that just took freakin' ages ;P
Summary of this video:
Teleportation, unconsiosness and dragons
The end
Sounds like some sort of comedy where a guy goes on a bender and fucks dragons with a teleportation device.
Rhonin passes out more than i do on a saturday night
Absolutely fantastic work!! I hope Blizzard generously compensated you for this work!
+Handsome Harry Thank you sir, no compensation needed :). People enjoying it is the main thing.
Six Gamers ... but Blizzard will someday come around to bringing you within their payroll team, am I right? ;)
+Handsome Harry haha I very much doubt that :P
This is great, kinda similar to nobbels videos, but the way you tell the story is cool, and your little remarks are very spott on.
+FruchteisMitErdbeer Nobbel's stuff inspired me to make my own :)
Wow that was amazing, thank you so much!
+Challi Sweet thank you!
And right after the bomb leveled the city...
Jaina Proudmoore, went mad. And Garrosh... FUCKING GARROSH.
That was one of your best episodes good job!
u are far too underrated, ur videos are great, i really enjoy these videos! keep up the good work
This is like watching a film, thank you so much. You're awesome
amazing, must ve been soooo long to create, u are awesome man!!
Very impressive, keep it up!!
Amazing work making those films. Respect!
Enjoyed this as much as I'd enjoy any feature length film. Which meaaaaanss... ya did good pig. Looking forward to more!
edit: Sort of reduced to tears in the end. No big deal.

+Eneo Not intentional, but do love me some Archer!
+Six Gamers Actually it was intentional, I slipped it in during the script edit to see if you'd notice. -T6GC

I nearly cried of joy and sadness during this..... He should be brought back, he's just an amazing character....
+abdullah alshudukhi Happy to see people care so strongly about the lore!
+Six Gamers I entered your channel every day for the past month for the last Rhonin video.I love you work man.You always put just the right amount of detail in your stories. Keep up the good work, no rush.
+Vlad the Impaler Wow thanks man, really appreciate you checking in, sorry it took a while to come!
1:14:27 There's Malorne, but who are the other two demigods?
+Uros Popovic Tortolla and Ursoc. I also use Ursol when talking about Rhonin's interrogation as from the book description I feel it is likely one of the bear demigods that did this, though can't say definitively.

I DON'T WANT SORTER ONES I LOVE THESE ONES IT'S LIKE STORY TIME!
Perfect history about a man that had choices in his life nice lore.
this was so awesome! TY!
no worries, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
This would make an awesome spin off movie to the original Warcraft movie, kinda like Rogue One for Star Wars but about Rhonin
Still the best video you ever made :)

This story is a sad one. But a amazing one!
amazing detailed video, you have done a monumental job :) one question though, what does his deathrattle have to do with his actual death? thanks
+Potion of Kings Nothing really. I feel it's mainly death related as Rhonin is dead and I suppose you could argue gives arcane missiles since killed by a massivly powerful arcane weapon. But I'm reaching there :P
+Six Gamers makes sense :)
Thank you so much.
+georgiv5 :D
+Six Gamers I have been waiting for this episode for a long time.
Any hope that Trade Prince Gallywix will get his lore? Or perhaps Brann Bronzebeard and his apprentice Harrison Jones.
+The Ascendent One day with all opf them though Brann will probably be the soonest :)
thos video was very in-depth, but did Rhonin take no part of any story line in the Cataclysm ?
+ambitiouslemur No he didn't, which considering his history with Deathwing is pretty odd :P
Correct me if I´m wrong, but wasn´t Broxxigar, thanks to the axe, the only mortal ever able to hurt Sargeras himself?
not that you stated anything contrary, but I think I read into him once, and want people to know just how awesome he was!
The "GET TO THE LORE!" annotation doesn't work. It just sends you back to the start of the episode.
EDIT: Same with the "Get to the Rhonin bit" and "Click here to skip past part 1 and part 2" annotations.
Great video, thank you
+Sándor Miklós Kádár And thank you for watching!
i would love to watch the lore behind malfurion and his brother illidan stormrage!
+marc tan those are biiig biiig projects :S
Awesome story

Fernando Lovato Books, the game, novels, etc
do you the names of the novels?? I played WOW since pandária, Warcraft I to III and i didnt know before this video about rhonin before he was the leader of the council of the six's

Is this just Rhonin part 1 and 2?
+Abelhawk No there's an extra part which I've but an annotation in to take you to :)
+Six Gamers Add to description for mobile users.
+Zango Ah what, more stuff!? Done :). Thanks for pointing this out!
Epic
Well done
Garrosh! you are not fit to rule the horde!! Kappa

I think I'm going to have to buy a second monitor to watch this
+saint0004 haha that's commitment!
when did neltharian become deathwing?
+Secret Mystery Gaming Officially during the Burning Legion's first invasion of Azeroth 10000 years ago. But the seeds were planted before
+Secret Mystery Gaming ahh cool thanks bro keep up the good work!
to the ppl that would like some kind of visual to this. there's a fan-made bonus compaign in wc3 that follows the story very closely and neat, its quite fun and entertaining. Its called Day of the Dragon. And to six gamers, if u dont want this comment on here. feel free to delete it
-Just wanna help ppl who likes visual's or just likes wc3 maps :P
+Tim Nielsen And while the original campaign was made in 2007, it was heavily updated in 2015, just as the author's Lord of the Clans campaign was.
+Tim Nielsen I'm nopt going to delete some one pointing people in the direction of something cool :)
Lovely. I just know some channels are being douchebags when ppl points their subscribers towards some kind of content that aren't theirs ;)
There's a lesson to be learnt in this video, don't fuck with a crazed dragon
+mikail irwan One we can all take to heart :P
Why is everything in hearthstone reduced to ash?
I hope they bring him back somehow
+Gabriel Riqu Yeah that's a difficult one. I feel Rhonin was really underdeveloped in the game and overdeveloped in the novels :P. Even so I felt he was a character that still had potential when they killed him off.
+Six Gamers yeah, they could do so much more whit rhonin but they had to kill him off :(
He is my favorite character in wow
im hoping they bring him back in a situation like, he didnt actually died at theramore but he absorved the max that he could and then kaleck or one of the blue dragon flight would save him from the mana poisoning and take him away so that they could help rhonin heal, and then later he would apear like this super strong mage whit white hair and beard.
but i doubt something like this will happen, i think blizzard killed him for good :(
God damn onion cutting ninjas ....
Did garrosh die?
Garrosh dies in the final questing area of the Warlords of Draenor expansion
holy fuck, 2 hours?!??!
lore on lore walker cho. reception
How come Abathur won the vote, nova has a much better back story by a long shot
+Vlad the Impaler I think he's more played at least in tournaments so people are more eager to know about him? *shrug*
So, in short, Rhonin was a badass.
+Phatnaru0002 basically... that gets knocked out a worryingly high number of times :P
and yet he still lasted until he sacrificed himself.
I don't understand this. Rhonin is reguarded as being very gifted with magic, yet there are several instances of him not getting the effects intended when he casts spells. It seems like his power is wildly inconsistent.

it's also dependant on the adversary. for example the dragon he fought would have had a natural resistance to magic. spells also vary in challenge, so others are more likely to not get the intended effect no matter how good you are, hope that answers your question :)
+Six Gamers So that's why he sometimes gets a tickle spell and other times gets a whirling firestorm of death and destruction unexpectedly?
Well it's never made clear what spork he was attempting on the dragon, he just says he didn't get what he wanted. The firestorm was before he knew the week was fueling his power. The well used to be THE most powerful power source in all Azeroth before it's destruction. It's like going to run and some one pushed you from behind, you'll unexpectedly go faster.

I prefer to think of this as the story of a lucid dreaming narcoleptic.
a lot of falling to death in this episode
Why do paladins dislike mages so much for using magic? Isn't the stuff they do with the light basically magic?
+Makingnewnamesisdumb They're slightly different forces, the arcane has proved to have corrupting influences, where as the light has not. The practise of using them is also different. Magic wielded through skill and the light through faith and willpower.
It's likely the arcane's ability to corrupt that Paladins etc don't like.

This makes me look forward to the Warcraft movie, even if it will be a butchered version of the lore.
Man the background music broke my ear drums, dont do dis again. pls.
dang it so many hearthstone legendaries are dead

1. do very awesome and world-improving things
2. to die by doing these or retire afterwards.^^

is mateing porn?
How old are you? Mating is equivalent to reproduction, which, only an immature person would say is 'porn'.
+Soarvivor And anyways, porn is adult entertainment. Not reproduction. How would you even know about porn if you don't know what mating is.
