wow that is an amazing job....just fantastic! You sir or ma'am or very, very gifted and if I had enough space I would continue to shower you with compliments. I am a veteran of sketchup myself and that is a time consuming program and you have great patience. Great Job.
@Chiiisto You dont need pro, just basic SU. In file click 'export' it says 'export animation' on bottom. That is, once you've arranged your scenes into a walkthrough
Beautiful model, great design, some funny camera movements at parts and a bit of redundancy in the fly-over it would have been better if at a part the model made use of Sketchyphysics and began to move.
Amazing detail! - great work, maybe the best I've seen for this type of structure!! i'd love to view the sketchup file if you would allow it? imagine this using sketchy physics!! did you post it on the 3d warehouse?
You'd be surprised with how little ram a computer really needs. My gaming machine has $25 worth of 4Gs of DDR2, running windows 7. Only thing that really slows it down is the harddrive and the 2.3ghz dual core
Is it frame by frame or does the Sketchup include somekind of a motion/animation function (you set the angle, camera zoom etc, and sketchup does all the other things os is it a manual job? Cheers, Rok
As a professional architectural sketchup modeler, my only question is...why? I can understand how long something like this could take. Was this as a hobby, or a did you have a client? And if it's a client, then who in the world is still building windmills in this style?!
frankly, I do not know. I save the animation in JPG images, and QuickTime, I import an image sequence. In general I asts the computer work at night. ;-)
Our wind mill has 3 pairs of grinding stones of different diameters so there will be a lot of work involved if we want to replicate all the detail. Which additional SketchUp plug-ins do you recommend? Thank you for your reply.
Hello. I belong to a group of volunteers who look after a post wind mill here in Flanders, Belgium. I have also been thinking of making a Sketchup model of our wind mill as it is now. (It was completely restored 10 years ago.) How long did it take you to make the Sketchup model of your wind mill? Thanks for your reply.
Yes i can ! Voilà, c'est mieux comme ca... Le plus long est de faire un relevé précis du bâtiment. Pour le moulin ça c'est fait sur 4 mois (relevé + modélisation), le week-end Cordialement
i have downloaded sketchyphisics but im lost on how to get it to work i cant find the plugin (or the menu where it shold be). can someone message me with the step by step? ive seen others that have had the same issue, thanks a great deal...

You can render with Kerkythea. It's a free easy to learn and very good renderer.

Of course !
Hi,
It depends on the complexity of the mill, with all the quotes, a month ago working
cordially
very nice, have you worked with cad,if not you should, this would make a nice model, kit say i in 1/4 scale or smaller..
Merci beaucoup des encouragement, je vais faire beaucoup mieux avec l'évolution de la construction ...
Vincent
some hours of work and I could make the windmill work :). Is it uploaded in the 3d warehouse?
