This was beautiful and awe-inspiring footage Tammany lookout is GOURGEOUS. Be careful running alongside the wolves and bears. Wolves hear ten miles away and I hear their unfriendly.

Tammany lookout is a gorgeous spot, the mountain on the other side is Mt. Minsi, it has a pretty nice view too. Luckily the wolves there are in a sanctuary and can't get to where I was.

It's a great trail, the parking lots fill up quick though so plan on getting there early.

Haven't been down there since the fire on Tammany last year. It is a gorgeous spot to hike with more to see than one might expect.

When you mentioned the Coyotes and where your location was, I was thinking of the Lakota Wolf Preserve near Blairstown. I grew up in Warren County and familiar with the area. Been many years since I hiked to Sunfish Pond.

I had no idea there was a wolf preserve in NJ, it was really cool to hear wolves for the first time in real life.

@@KurtZitzelman it's before the entrance to Yard's Creek reservoir, which is also accessible on the the trail up from Sunfish Pond. Back to Lakota Wolf Preserve, you need an appointment to enter the preserve. The wolves are fenced in a large wooded area. I faintly heard them in your video, Coyotes have a very eerie whines and cries, usually in the wee hours of the morning when they hunt in packs. I hear them here in the Poconos where I live. Wolves have that distinct low howl. I hiked up to Sunfish Pond as a kid, it's about a 2 mile hike up from I-80. Summer time you have to keep an eye out for Timber rattlers, Copperheads and black bear. I saw Copperheads going across the trail. Another place I like is Sunrise Mountain in Sussex County. (Stoke's)

@@lonewolf2608 When I has hiking and heard them the last thing I was thinking was wolves lol I've seen rattlers up there before. Stokes is a nice spot for hiking, haven't been there in a couple years.

Lots of little waterfalls in that area! Haha nice deer sighting - they didn't want to stick around though! Great views from the top of the mountain! I also have a hiking/travel channel if you're interested in checking it out!

I haven't spent a lot of time on the Old Mill Rd side of the mountain, I did go look for the old copper mine years ago. I'll have to go look for those waterfalls. I was hoping those deer would cross the trail. I'll check out your channel, thanks for stopping by!

Recently uploaded my hike to the top of Tammany and saw your video appear in the suggestions to the right. Your name looked familiar and I realized we share a lot of friends on UA-cam. Great work! Would like to do the whole trail to Sunfish pond someday. Have a nice weekend. Just subscribed. Check us out too!
