Didn’t expect to see MIB talk about Transformers but as someone who’s both a Godzilla and Transformers fan that watches this channel this sure is going to be a treat!

Yeah, I was surprised too. Until I remembered that Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron are just a big homage to King Kong and the T-Rex from the same movie and it made a little more sense that there'd be some overlap between the audiences.

Of all the recent model kits Transformers has been doing lately these are the most interesting to me. I love the almost chibi style to them and I like that the G1 series is including some lesser known characters like Bluestreak and the upcoming Red-Alert and Slug. Also so far the only movie toys of Arcee and Mirage that are based on the finale designs instead of the concept renders.
We go from my favorite franchise Godzilla to now my second favorite franchise MIB reviews-Transformers
Saw these guys before, they look fun.
Not into blind box stuff so guess I’ll go with the more detailed versions
I've always liked the dinobots

Fr I enjoy them too!
Instantly fall in love with these toys by the moment you opened the box. Their boxes are so amazingly sweet to look at.
So, a few fun facts involving Transformers, Godzilla and Kong:
1. in one of the Kong remakes from the 70s/80s, Peter Cullen (Voice of Optimus Prime) did the vocal roars of Kong (though i think he was uncredited in it, as well as the Predator's laughs in the first Predator film), and Frank Welker (voice of Megatron, Soundwave, and a whole lot more) was the roars of Godzilla in the 98 film and its cartoon sequel
2. King Kong was the inspiration for why the Beast Wars characters (Optimus Primal and the Beast Wars version of Megatron) had thier alt modes in the cartoon (ape and t-rex respectively)
3. Speaking of Beast Wars and Kong, in the 2000s Kong cartoon (which isnt bad actually), Kong himself snd one of the human characters was voiced by Scott McNeil (voice of Beast Wars RatTrap, Dinobot, Silverbolt and Waspinator), and the main antagonist was voiced by David Kaye (Beast Wars Megatron)
4. And finally, Marvel and IDW both did comics for Transformers and Godzilla, with IDW even adding in a lil Godzilla comic easter egg into one of thier Transformers comics

im glad MIB covered these guys. I caught onto them last year and got myself SG Prime along with a standard Cliffjumper. They're great little figures, somewhere in the middle of the old robot heroes and early revoltech transformers. here's hoping these guys get a wider release sometime soon. I'd also just like to see Blokees handle some other brands. Robocop, Megaman, Pacific Rim, Mazinger Z, hell even Godzilla himself could lend well to this stocky stumpy aesthetic.
Now all we need is a collab between the MonsterVerse and Transformers so that we can get official Godzilla and King Kong Transformers.
Seeing Transformers that you build like Gundam model kits kept bringing up the meme of Optimus Prime painted with the RX-78 color scheme
I bought a Japanese candy model kit years ago. It was of Star Saber and Victory Leo of Transformers Victory. You could take them apart to build a Victory Saber. Or I would have, if they didn't fall off the shelf and had their pieces scattered to the winds. They aren't nearly the quality of these, though. While I don't like blind boxing, I do like the G1 character designs in those blindies. The bigger class movie editions are cool as well, but I'd prefer the Evergreen design.

Hey MIB, will you like to talk about the unused Godzilla: The Series monster concept arts, in which many of them are named after Toho Kaiju and how Sony never intended to actually license any monsters from Toho, as it would be too time-consuming with the show's tight production schedule?
