Great tutorial but I don’t understand why all of these editing tutorials involve obliterating the original texture of the paper by turning it to pure white. Part of the charm of traditional media is the tactile appearance of real materials. All of these edits basically turn these traditional pieces into a digital sketch at which point you may as well just do the drawing in photoshop in the first place
Well, I don't exactly turn my drawings into pure white. I do increase the brightness of my drawings but not too much. As you say, I take pride in leaving the whites of the page grey. But I am sorry if this photo edit came across as obliterating the paper texture
