1. are the animations any diffrent between vanilla snake and then "quiet"?(i.e. does the mod change any animations?) 2. are there any differences in animations between snake and a female staff member? (when you play as her?)
1. Yes. The sprinting animation, and several of the climbing animations are different, along with the bionic arm punch animation being replaced with Quiet's dash. 2. No. Snake and all recruits (both male and female) actually use the same set of animations, even in the vanilla game. The only reason the animations looks slightly different in the vanilla game, is that the starting positions for the bones appear to be slightly offset depending on which character you play as.
splee5556 im somewhat good in modding stuff so I'd try to make the voice mod for every character so how do I extract edit voice.mgs5 notepad++ can't ....yet again xD PS thank you for the response tho +1
I'm almost done. I identified the voice files if the female diamond dogs and extracted them to the audible format every sound is for a different occasion. Could you provide me with the audible, raw version of the quiet files you used to replace snakes voice, so that I can replace the files of the diamond dog soldiers with quiet and have the same voice as snake would through your mod but for my female diamond dogs. thx in advance BTW this is tideous af.
I have everything installed but it still shows up as snake instead of quiet however I can use her on the staff members just can’t be her AS big boss or in cutscenes of the game (I did replace the icons voice lines ect. (will there be a possible updated 2023 video)
Process is still the same. Make sure you've chosen the folder that contains the Assets folder as the mod folder in MakeBite and not the Assets folder itself. It won't work otherwise.
Sorry that I'm commenting so late but... Will i be able to play as Quiet as for my first play through of the game? I followed everything in your tutorial and when I started to play, it showed Snake and had both his voice and her voice at the same time. Mostly her grunting and jumping voice sounds which is a bit weird.
For the prologue, you'll still play as Snake. (It's possible to replace hospital Snake; but it requires some additional files to be set up that are out of the scope of the MQPM.) As soon as you're out of the prologue, you'll be able to play as Quiet properly. After the prologue, the game starts you off wearing the fatigues with the scarf. So as long as you've replaced that outfit with one of the Quiet options, you'll be able to play as Quiet for the rest of the game.
@@splee5556 Thank you so much for your help! I actually didn't replace any of the Player Outfits like you mentioned so that's why my game only showed Snake. I appreciate your response! Again, sorry that I commented like... 4 years later XD
Whenever I try installing it just doesn’t work. The mod files I used for makebite is the folder where I outputted the stuff from the exe any idea on what I’m doing incorrectly??
1st yay! I've just bought myself a new gaming pc purely for your mod, I love TPP but just wish they'd of included playing as quiet in the base game. I was wondering if you think it's possible to mod her sliding move from MGO?
Yeah, it would've been nice if they made her a playable character officially. It's sort of possible to port the sliding move, but it doesn't look very good or work very well, which is why I left it out of the mod.
+RosalinaStar Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to get the sliding move working properly any time soon. If I ever do get it working right though, it will be included in an update.
I discover another thing in this mod. When i use the xof outfit and the hospital head for quiet and when i am in a mission to scan a document, then quiet eyes are closed, this problem does not appear, when i use the default head and her regular outfit. Can you please confirm that, if this problem occured to you too? It would be nice, if it could get fixed in a future update^^
+RosalinaStar That's actually a bug with model swaps in general, not just with this mod. The problem is due to Quiet and Snake not being the same size. Since Quiet is smaller, some of Snake's cutscene animations don't look right, including the document scanning one. This is unfixable unless somebody finds a way to modify the game's animations.
Once we have the suit.fpk files, do we place them in a certain folder? Like assets or addons? Nvm, I was making the whole process for myself 10 times harder. lmao
I used the tool and when I chose the Sneaking Suit with everything as default over Snake, compiled it with Makebite, and installed the model replacement it was stuck in the Infinite Loading Screen. I followed every step here and I'm unsure of what's missing. Everything else works fine, but I'm confused as to what happened on my end.
Usually, this means that the MakeBite file for your outfits wasn't generated correctly. Make sure in MakeBite, under mod files, every file listed begins with "/Assets/". If they don't, that means the wrong folder was selected.
Ok, i got a question! Is possible to replace the female staff voices with Quiet's? Because i like to play as Snake too, it would be a shame to lose him.

You'd need to extract/edit the mist Skull model, then create it as an addon for the tool. Download the resources for mod authors from here for more detail: www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/446
When i select Snake's Quiet outfit (i'm using the Character Enabler mod) there is much less Character Outfits and Heads to choose from (there is only the vanilla Quiet outfits and heads), compared to what is available if i choose any other Snake Outfit. Why is that? Is there anyway i can edit the Quiet character to use the sneaking suit, for example?
It has to do with how the game's models are put together. Some outfits consist of more than one model, and some of the outfits are a single model. If an outfit was originally made of a single model, then it can also only be replaced by a single model. That's why the options are limited. It's possible to add other outfits; but they require creating a custom model.
The dash can be done by doing the running bionic arm punch. The other abilities are just some animation swaps. If you want to use FOB Quiet's abilities, try the FOBCharacterEnabler mod.
Hey not to sound like a total noob but i downloaded this v2.1.3 version and when i try to move along there are no mgsv folders just the mqpm exe and when i try to open it it gives me the error "You don't have any outfits (correctly) installed! The MQPM Tool needs outfits to work with". where do i grab these things and where do i put them?
I ran Snakebite first and installed the MQPM mods that came with the Multi Quiet Player Mod v2.2 Then ran the MQPMTool tool to make some outfits to replace Snake with Quiet. Ran Makebite to make a mgsv mod file and installed that with Snakebite. But Snake is still Snake does not look like Quiet. What am I missing here ?
The SnakeBite file was probably generated incorrectly. Make sure every line under "mod files" in MakeBite begins with "/Assets/". If it doesn't, that's the problem.
splee5556 I read about that in the comments, so I paid attention to that and this is not the case. Thing is I have not completed the first mission so I can't open the character selection menu yet. Although in your video we get to see Quiet in the main menu screen right away and she does not in mine, I see snake. Maybe I can choose the Quiet outfit I made and installed as soon as I can open the character selection menu ?
The problem is that you're not using the outfit you installed over then. The first outfit available is Fatigues (Scarf). So install over that if you want to play as Quiet right away.
Thanks that worked. I bought MGSV during last Steam summer sale with your mod in mind. It's a lot of fun playing as Quiet, thanks a lot for making this mod.
So I went through the steps as well as made sure that the files for the skull suits were there but when I make the outfits for the female soldiers and select them in game it's just quiet's head. There is no torso texture at all and when I tried it for snake, he stays the same minus the icon change. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Great stuff mod is working with replacing snake but if i replace the dd female players there outfits like the skull suite and The boss suite have disformed legs,do have an idea of what the problem can be ?
help me please i have done everything perfectly as you shown in the video. but when i go to character select menu quiets icon shows up but there is no quiet only snake! when i change outfit quiet does not appear only snake!
The SnakeBite file was likely generated incorrectly. Make sure in MakeBite you're selecting the folder that contains the Assets folder as the mod folder and not the Assets folder itself.
@@splee5556 thanks man. but fobcharacter enabler is not working for me. i installed standalone version. but when i press F+LEFT ARROW the mod shows me that it's working as 2. set character quiet 3. set character ocelot 4. exit menu etc. but nothing happens at all. snake is not changing at all.
splee5556 haven't tried it on makebite I tried installing the icon voice and stuff using snakebite and it gave me that error but if I don't need them and I can get the model with makebite I'll Do that
Huh. That's really weird that the prebuilt SnakeBite files gave you that error. They definitely do contain a metadata.xml. (You can check this by opening the files in WinRAR or 7-ZIP. The mgsv files are just renamed zip files.) I'm wondering if the files may have gotten corrupted for you somehow. But yes, the models should work regardless of whether the other components are installed or not.
Not sure what happend but i installed the model first model worked fine so i tried installing the replacements and animations again and it all worked anyway great mod and thanks!
Can I ask a question? Is there a way to add another MOD author's model or my model to MQPM? Could you tell me if you have a video or website? (I am sorry if it is incorrect as it is a direct interpreter)
You need to develop them in-game. Each outfit requires your R&D team to be a certain level (along with another team usually) and requires a certain amount of GMP and processed resources.
You can probably still find the old versions of SnakeBite that looks like it did in this video on GitHub. But I wouldn't recommend it as some mods may not install correctly, and it will be slower at installing mods in general.
So I downloaded this to get snake to run faster and the bionic punch gets replaced with the dash but is there a way to get rid of the dash and keep the punch animation? The dash does still attack but its not as strong as the bionic punch
@@splee5556 so I'm guessing that would be a pain in the ass but still possible right? Would I just have to go in the file of the animations mod and change values or is it more complex then that?
@@UA-camr35568 Both a pain and possible, yes. You would have to find and swap the specific animation files themselves. The issue is, most of the animations names are hashed; so there's no real identifier to what they are. You would need to manually test them to figure out what they are, then swap the files once found.
Do i need to download all the replacers if I'm just replacing female outfits? In whatever case, I've followed the steps and somehow the player model is gone as soon as I equip the outfit
The replacers are included with the main download; so you will have to download them. You do not need to install them though. Which components you install are your choice. Equip any piece of headgear and you should see the model. This is a female recruit specific detail I forgot to mention in the video.
I keep getting a "Selected mod conflicts with existing MGSV system files" error. I'm using the steam version, and I've already Restored Original Game Files and that didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
You need to delete snakebite.xml from TPP's installation folder before setting up SnakeBite again, after verifying the game cache. Essentially, SnakeBite has messed up and thinks that one of the mod files is a system file.
hiya, ive tried installing the quiet mod, but I get an error every time I try to install the last MQPM file, saying: Exception: 'Length cannot be less than zero Parameter name: length' Check Snakebite logs for more details I checked the snakebite log but it just said the same thing. How should I solve this error?
This is a bug with SnakeBite. I'm unsure of the exact cause. To my knowledge, the only know way to fix it is to reset SnakeBite and restore the game to its vanilla state. To do this, go to SnakeBite's settings, and choose the option to restore the original game files. Once this has completed, go to TPP's installation directory and make sure snakebite.xml has been deleted. If it's not there, SnakeBite successfully removed it. From there, verify the game's files through Steam. SnakeBite should've already restored the original files; but verifying the files through Steam as well guarantees the game will be in its vanilla state. After that, run SnakeBite and set it up again. Reinstall your mods and the issue should hopefully be solved.
Reverb128 Double check that you've done the steps exactly as I listed above. It should work if you've restored the original game files and deleted snakebite.xml.
The text and voice mod seem to work perfectly, but Quiet never shows up. I've installed everything to the letter and the player model never changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The SnakeBite file was probably generated incorrectly. Make sure every line under "mod files" in MakeBite begins with "/Assets/". If it doesn't, that's the problem.
Can't get it to work but I noticed when you use makebite that each line starts with "/Assets" but when i load mine, it starts with "/tpp". How can i edit this to make it look like yours? the only reason I bought mgsv for pc was for your mods :(
Like the actual file itself disappears? That sounds like it might be the tool triggering a false-positive with an antivirus. If you have an antivirus installed, try disabling it temporarily before running the tool and see if it works.
The animations abillity, icon replacer ect, ect, isn't in my download of this tool lol. mine has a file called cityhash.dll ect, so when opening mqpm tool it says no outfits installed yada yada yada. What am i doing wrong why i don't have the files i this video? lol
nvm that I didn't read all of the info, overall I like the mod and the fact I can get to the location where I send quiet to recon at same time is nice, on the other hand when going down hill your ability to dash like quiet becomes nullified, almost as if I hit a wall.
Is there story progress requirement to use this mod? I haven't unlocked Quiet as buddy yet and every time I'm in sortie prep the character doesn't load and the game stuck there.
The only requirement is completing the prologue (since you can't access the sortie prep until you've completed it). Something went wrong with your installation if the character doesn't load.
I followed every step from the video and I still don't know what's wrong. It seems that if I try to select different character the character would not load, and when I try to back out the game would go on infinite loading screen.
Not with this mod. Somebody else attempted to port the Sniper Wolf outfit for female soldiers a while ago. But I think they gave up due to facial distortion issues.
Also do you happen to know if you can use custom created faces from MGO for singleplayer avatar? You can make the male avatar face in singleplayer but the mutiplayer character creator has female faces aswell.
In theory it should be possible to port the female faces from MGO to TPP by replacing the male options. So far nobody has done it though (not publicly anyway).
I can't get past SnakeBite's installation directory page. It says some game data is missing and tries to open in steam for revalidation, but the game is not on steam directory and the game functions normally so there shouldn't be any missing files. Is there any way to run SnakeBite without revalidating?
splee5556 I didn't get it thru steam, so no steam directory. Can you please make a video on how to install manually using QAR tool and MQPM? Is it possible?
splee5556 Not exactly. Apparently it is an older version that uses 'chrunch0' and SnakeBite requires a more updated version of the game to work. Anyway I got it to work manually by using GZS tool and replacing the files in chrunch0 with the files exported from MQPM. It works just fine when you get the hang of it.
Yep. The only differences are that it looks a little bit different and allows you to install multiple .mgsv files at once. The installation process is still the same.

1. are the animations any diffrent between vanilla snake and then "quiet"?(i.e. does the mod change any animations?)
2. are there any differences in animations between snake and a female staff member? (when you play as her?)
1. Yes. The sprinting animation, and several of the climbing animations are different, along with the bionic arm punch animation being replaced with Quiet's dash.
2. No. Snake and all recruits (both male and female) actually use the same set of animations, even in the vanilla game. The only reason the animations looks slightly different in the vanilla game, is that the starting positions for the bones appear to be slightly offset depending on which character you play as.

Does she have all Quiet moves list? How do I dash? I've seen people dash/"super jump" with Quiet, but I can't do it using this mod. Is it normal?
This mod is just animation swaps. If you want to play as the actual FOB Quiet, try FOBCharacterEnabler.
@@splee5556 W content creator he responds even tho he made this awhile ago I’ll try it
Sorry that I'm commenting so late but...

Will you release a new version of the mod or a update, when you are made the sliding move working right, like in MGO? It would very nice^^
Nvm, I was making the whole process for myself 10 times harder. lmao
What did you do?
Is there any valid reason for this only working on the steam version?
I used the tool and when I chose the Sneaking Suit with everything as default over Snake, compiled it with Makebite, and installed the model replacement it was stuck in the Infinite Loading Screen. I followed every step here and I'm unsure of what's missing. Everything else works fine, but I'm confused as to what happened on my end.
Usually, this means that the MakeBite file for your outfits wasn't generated correctly. Make sure in MakeBite, under mod files, every file listed begins with "/Assets/". If they don't, that means the wrong folder was selected.
I made sure of that. I did it several times over making sure that the list began with /Assets/ but never even got the game to the main menu.
Ah, got it working now. Files needed validating, apparently. Thanks for the reply!

can you do a tutorial on how to swap Female DD Parasite outfit with Quiet?
Just choose Female DD as the character and Parasite as the outfit in the MQPM Tool.
Hey i got a question. How exactly do i use all her abilitys?
The dash can be done by doing the running bionic arm punch. The other abilities are just some animation swaps. If you want to use FOB Quiet's abilities, try the FOBCharacterEnabler mod.
Dude any kind of mod that can change snake voice during cutscene to character voice that we used in the mission?
Cutscene audio can't be edited currently.
You downloaded the standalone MQPM Tool, not the Multi Quiet Player Mod, which comes with everything you see in this video.
Good to hear it's working. No problem!
So I went through the steps as well as made sure that the files for the skull suits were there but when I make the outfits for the female soldiers and select them in game it's just quiet's head. There is no torso texture at all and when I tried it for snake, he stays the same minus the icon change. Any ideas on how to fix this?
For female recruits, make sure you equip a piece of headgear (i.e. the balaclava). For Snake, make sure you have the right outfit selected.
Thank you by the mod! Also, i haven't progressed much in the history, how do the cutscenes look with this mod?
Sometimes the cutscene animations look a bit silly because Quiet is smaller than Snake. But overall, they're not too bad.
What about when Snake talks?
You'll get Snake's voice. Cutscenes can't be edited.
Every time I try to make the mod I get,
"Could not find file 'C:\Windows\system32\qar_dictionary.txt'."
Any idea what I need to do?
Never seen that before. The MQPM Tool doesn't use qar_dictionary.txt (that's something GzsTool uses). So I'm not sure why it would be looking for it.
@@splee5556 I'll look into it. I'll let you know when I fix it

Huh. That's really weird that the prebuilt SnakeBite files gave you that error. They definitely do contain a metadata.xml. (You can check this by opening the files in WinRAR or 7-ZIP. The mgsv files are just renamed zip files.) I'm wondering if the files may have gotten corrupted for you somehow. splee5556 ok i get it know. So the first tab is to replace with the current outfit. Btw how do i unlock all the outfits?
You need to develop them in-game. Each outfit requires your R&D team to be a certain level (along with another team usually) and requires a certain amount of GMP and processed resources.
Not working for me?

yo did this look get updated out of the most recent snakebite version or is there still a way to get it?
You can probably still find the old versions of SnakeBite that looks like it did in this video on GitHub. But I wouldn't recommend it as some mods may not install correctly, and it will be slower at installing mods in general.
So I downloaded this to get snake to run faster and the bionic punch gets replaced with the dash but is there a way to get rid of the dash and keep the punch animation? The dash does still attack but its not as strong as the bionic punch
It's technically possible; but you'd have to go through the animations, figure out which one is the bionic arm punch and restore the original files.
@@splee5556 is there any other mods that make you run faster or is the quiet mod the only way?
@@UA-camr35568 There's Solid Rising; but it changes a bunch of stuff.
Much appreciated!
hiya, ive tried installing the quiet mod, but I get an error every time I try to install the last MQPM file, saying:
Exception: 'Length cannot be less than zero
Parameter name: length'
Check Snakebite logs for more details
I checked the snakebite log but it just said the same thing. How should I solve this error?
Also when I try to uninstall a mgsv file from SnakeBite, it also shows the same error message and does not uninstall the mods
Reinstall your mods and the issue should hopefully be solved.
splee5556 Thanks for the response, worked perfectly after I did as instructed!
I have the same problem and followed these steps but still get the same error, even after reinstalling Snakebite. Got any other ideas?

Double check that you've done the steps exactly as I listed above. It should work if you've restored the original game files and deleted snakebite.xml.
Do i need to recruit quiet before i get to use this mod?
Nope.
If it doesn't, that's the problem.
splee5556 Thank you! That fixed the problem. I had to select the "new folder" rather than the "Assets" folder. I appreciate the response.

The executable dissapears as soon i try to run it or see its propierties.
All mgsv files works nice, but not the tool.
Like the actual file itself disappears? That sounds like it might be the tool triggering a false-positive with an antivirus. If you have an antivirus installed, try disabling it temporarily before running the tool and see if it works.

What a shame.
