People complaining about hardlex and ignore the rest of the package. Listen people, this is one of the cheapest GMTs you can buy that works flawlessly. Bulletproof automatic mechanism, hacking, hand winding, beautiful field watch styling. If all you care about is if your watch crystal will get scratched might as well take them out of your drawer and wear them. This is a fantastic watch from a respectable company so don't shit over a hardlex crystal. It's a field watch. It's meant to be worn and get scratched.
I have a szsb012 with hardlex and I have smacked it against grained steel(it was painted) walls doors and it nas no scratches. A great watch. The assumption that every watch should have sapphire crystal is becoming a joke.
Great video review bro! Still thinking to get this or not, but after i saw the distortion because of the hardlex and the bezel might be little bit to the left, i might not buy it. Thanks bro!
200 aud would still be way too much for hardlex. Seiko continue their downward spiral of specs & quality. Why do people keep buying them? Because of the name and 'history'? A fool and his money are soon parted.
Can you really tell if a watch has hardlex from sapphire if you see one? And because you probably haven't owned a Seiko with hardlex crystal, fyi you have to try hard with heavy tools to scratch one, and a hammer to break it.
@@user-lh8ql5zr5e of course you can and I own a few Seikos; two have bad scratches in the crystal that weren't difficult to aquire and now I can't get out with polywatch. If you are happy paying over the odds for inferior quality just because of the name on the dial carry on.
The hatdlex is not so bad… the domed thix crystals are realy good and looks better than the cheap saphireglases from pagani design and so on. The hardlex is very strong and makes a expensive look.
Typical Seiko over charging for Hollow Links, Hardlex, and Stamped Clasp. It ll run 30 seconds fast also. Probably has about 20 minutes of power reserve.

Absolute rubbish. For that money it should be worn without the danger of scratching.
@@markloubser2433 Don't buy it 😂 simple as that!
The steel bezel is :chefs-kiss: 😊
Oh look, my next Seiko 😊
The new #5KeXplorer looks great 👍
- absolutely massive
- hardlex
thanks again seiko!

Are the endlinks of the bracelet full or hollow?
It's realy nice!

Looks very sexy. I order one by my seikoseller. Cant wait to have it. Thx great video
Great video, where did you buy it from for $400?
Bought it from Starbuy. Cheers.
Which month was that? Do you think it will go any cheaper here in Aus?
@@fungorilla in the first month of it's launch, this is cheapest I have seen it so far.
@@letstalkwatches considering Seiko usually don't usually get priced correctly. Do you think it'll go down any lower than $400?
@@fungorilla it's possible, looking at the 5KX GMT's and they can be had at a decent discount compared to when they were first launched.
Too bad the lug to lug is so long :( i miss the old days when all watches were 40 mm l2l
I have this watch. It's great. Clasp is cheap and nasty... Crap...

Decent video, but next time, dont record in the bathroom. The reverb might sound good singing in the shower, but not for a review.
Lost me at the hardlex
