32 years ago I was around 10 and around then my Dad just got cable tv with TSN. I remember watching your show pretty early on so motoring TV on Sundays or Saturdays was a staple in our house. My Dad is a salesman and going through cars every two years made your show pretty important to him. Myself I cut the cord about 8 years ago and I'm so happy you guys started pushing content to youtube. Your show and Rider games are one of the few things I miss about not having cable anymore.
Only American car makers use the pushrod engines because they like cutting corners and costs while penalizing the reliability. The result is you get engines that have to be replaced at 50k miles.
32 years ago, as a 14yo, sitting in the rear of the classroom, getting high on dark chocolate, and enjoyibg the effect of the teacher babbling while my mind was enjoying the vertigo effect of the blackboard zooming away as I quickly moved focus from the desk to the front wall. Also, those were the days I got the record of suspensions at school without even being a punk. I just didn’t give a damn about authority.
YOU DID NOT MENTION WHOCH MOST RELIABLE???? . IN MY EXPRRIENCE YHE PUSHTOD OHV IS MUCH PTEFERRED FOR ITS LONG TIME RRLIABILITY OVER THE OHC ENGINES. THE V6 AND V8 OHC ENGINGES ARE FAMOUS FOR FAILING TIMING CHAINS. AS A WORKING MAN GIVE ME THE RELIABILITU OF THE OHV PUSROD V6 AND V8!!!!
You gotta love those days when people screamed at a mic 6-10ft away.

Logan than you so much, you made our day!
Old video but just taught me a lot. Thanks!
Small block V8’s are big bore/short stroke engines, they should rev high with the right heads.
Short and to the point explanation. Well done.
I was approximately -7 when you started Motoring TV
Great segment. 🏆
Great explanation 👏👏👏❤️
Love my pushrod engines
I appreciate shared parts, I have a Camry TRD and the upgraded rotors literally come off a Highlander
great video thanks
Very informative, thank you
The 4.3 V6 is a very powerful engine.
There's no replacement for displacement ;)
@@_Bosley Why? A I4 DOHC makes more power than a weak high displacement pushrod?
@@beezyj3227 Couple that with a proper valve system and exhaust to let the engine breathe. Otherwise the boost is useless.
@@beezyj3227 Which is why most turbo 4-cylinder engines are killing V8's from yesteryear!
@@shapshooter7769 ... and the fact that it's not 1962 any more, and we have a better understanding, more electronic gubbins to control things ...
Thank you
fascinating
You mean this guy was wearing diapers as a teenager?!?!🤣🤣🤣
Pushrod 3800 all day !
Pushrod = pre-1940, OHC after that.
Chain saw 15k rpm no cam.
Two stroke engines. Great idea, but not for the environment. I loved my two stroke motorcycle!!!
