Excellent information. ETF investing is better than Index fund investing. Just to add to your information, you can do SIP in ETF as well and also you can apply buy on dip strategy for ETF using GTT orders in Zerodha Kite.

Thanks for sharing great content. My low risk, high reward strategy - Buy Sectoral ETF based on long term trend and sell when sector is sideline. Earned 16% in last 3 months from Auto, FMCG and Bank NIFTY ETFs. Invested in Gold ETFs as well. I love ETFs as I can trade like shares and put the stop loss. Today's time is of volatility. I used to buy and hold for 5 to 10 years in last 15 years, but in today's algo world we need to hold till market is in uptrend, sit on cash and wait for decline or sideline.

I think one of main key factor while selecting ETF is Liquidity also (no of volume of ETF trade) if one want to sell ETF in large amount, or in case of panic selling, people in in liquid ETF will get stuck first as compared to other ETF. Also as you mentioned liquid ETF will have lower spread.

One question! Since an ETF is traded on the exchange and sold and bought by normal retail investors, then how can the money put into the ETF flow into the underlying stocks ? In case of index mutual funds it is possible but how is it possible in case of an ETF ?

Company who run ETF add Dividend in ETF prices so Returns automatically become higher conlmpar to NIFTY price.. If you see 5 years graph NIFTYBEES ETF returns IS 88% WHILE NORMAL NIFTY PRICE INCREASE 76% This 12 % is Dividend in Last 5 years
SIP option is available for Nippon India Nifty Next 50 Junior BeES FoF in Zerodha. It has beaten all index funds in 3Y returns. It has also beaten NIFTY BEES. 3Y rtn for NIFTY BEES is 18.37% while of Junior BeES is 18.75%. Expense ratio of Nifty Bees ETF is 0.05 while that of Junior BEES is 0.28. Inspite of a higher expense ratio, Junior BEES has beaten Nifty BEES and SIP is also possible in Junior BEES in Zerodha.

Index has. Sir i guess its total market cap of top companies, vs (not) free float market cap for top 50 cos. Sir can u pls make a video on adani group of cos with such high pe ratios and does it make sense of crazy 100-200-400-500 pe valutations.
Sir in etf as it replicates index value is near index price only but the dividends which are given by companies are reinvested how by increasing the value of etf or we will get more units of etf
From the reason which you have mentioned, it seems that the tracking error in case of index funds will always come out to be -ve. I would like to know the cases where it has come +ve although I doubt there exists any such fund.

Have been doing the SIP in HDFC index Sensex fund (direct). Not sure about other funds, but tracking error is minimal.
