Fixed my speaker, thanks I thought I had a new brick. One note I would add, is that those little speaker magnets are powerful and I wasn't ready and it pulled my screwdriver right through the driver. Still sounds fine, but i would be careful on that one. Thanks Again
Hey bro, my speakers lights are illuminated fully when it's charging from being dead as opposed to the normal 12345 process. As well I hear some sounds during louder noises. Should I try and open it like you did and could it be attributed to having dropped it once. About 2 feet from bed to floor.
This totally worked for me. It was the exact cable issue you mentioned in this video. It's almost hard to notice as it really doesn't look like anything is goin on. But the little clip was loose, so I gently pushed the cable back in with a screwdriver and voila! It worked. Also, for anyone that reads this, the mesh 'shell' isn't indestructable. I had one of the little clips break. Not a major issue, just FYI.
Took mine apart, the chip by the ribbon looked loose so I went to see if it was and it fell off. Now I gotta call JBL and see if they can fix it Thanks for the video tho lol I’m sure it would of worked if I didn’t have a bigger problem ☹️
Thanks. Great demo video. Word of warning to anyone trying this repair: Be careful with your screwdriver around the speaker cones. I was unscrewing the first four screws with a jeweler’s screwdriver and the magnet inside one of the cones attracted the metal and pulled the tip of the screwdriver right through the cone, causing a small hole. Uggggh! Repaired it with superglue. Seems to be working with no distortion. Time will tell though.🤞I was majorly pissed.

My JBL Flip 4 is a little over a year old and it just stopped charging. The power does turn on. I tried taking it apart, but it still doesn't charge. I have probably charged it 150-200 times. I am bummed that it didn't last very long. I ordered a new one. We will see how long that lasts. I am going through a lot of bluetooth speakers. I need a speaker that sounds good loud and that can play on full volume for my 2 hour bike rides.
Idk if this is gonna work for mine. My problem is that mine turn on normally but after maybe 1 min of playing music it turn off. I charged it overnight with differents chargers and still the same. Only charge 2 dots and then the same, turn on play a little start like sounding weird and turn off by it self. I'll try and I'll let you know if it worked. Is anybody else having the same problem? i just did this and everything was in place, nothing out of "normal" i found out that the cable wasn't the right one, it's kinda ridiculous because i have tested all my usb cables and only one worked, it began to charge, i was about to smash it.
Unfortunately didn't do the trick for me. My buttons stopped working after holding down the on button and the phone button together following internet advice to get the speaker to pair with my new phone after nothing else had worked. I think I ruined the control panel in the end! :/

Great step by step fix, but beware of having your screwdriver or anything metal next to the side speakers magnets ... my screwdriver got sucked into the cone and ripped the cover. 😵

Once it’s opened it never the same there is some b7000 glue I useed to help seal to make water resistant at least. I have seen some seal tape they sell online that helps. If you open it, in my opinion it will not be waterproof only water resistant but there is stuff out there that could help you get the seal your looking for

My charge 4 has super bad connection. It literally cuts out if it’s more than 1 foot away, no literally. You think this would solve that issue as well?
Sounds more like a bad Bluetooth frequency, could be a loose connection this does not fix everything but it might help you find the loose connection by opening and reconnecting sometimes it’s that simple I will see what I can find out about the Bluetooth . Does it do it with every device you connect to it?

You might also try a factory reset sometimes that will fix the issue. If you look it up online it tells you how to do it step by step I can share a link if you can’t find it
Tim Wetzel yes I’ve done that several times, sadly it didn’t help. From what I can see nothing was loose. But I’ll have to get a smaller tool to open it completely. If you could make a video did on how to do that I’ll really appreciate it! And if not it’s still ok, you’ve already been a great help!
If it’s having the exact same problem, then I would give it a shot have not messed with that model. If it’s not working already what have you got to lose, might just bring it back !!

I had the Flip 4 for about a year and bought another brand new. 5 minutes after I took it out of the box sealed like I said it did not get any charge tried all kind of dif. Outlets and I saw this tutorial wich is amazing and when I was about to do the opening and reset the unit. Some magical hands came and press the power and the forward buttons at the same time and in 4 seconds the unit just turn on and I didn't have to do the operation. Thank you for this tutorial anyway.

Ok there might be other connections that are loose I didn’t have that issue but you can open it a little further and see a couple more connections just do the same thing hopefully that will do it

mine had a similar problem but slightly different. vol + -, battery light indicator, Bluetooth, n connect doesn't work but the power button and charging function "using connect app as an indicator for battery" working, as usual, are those similar problems your video or not? should I take it apart or bring it to the service center? mine still new, more or less about a month old?

Double check when you pulled on motherboard that all connections did not come loose just take a light and flag in all the holes double check nothing is ooose

i made a hole too, and i fixed it with some kind of glue too, but not working good, do u know how can i buy or repair?

So I had the same problem and the wire is pushed in all the way and it’s still does not work
You might try cleaning the connection with 91 % rubbing alcohol just to make sure it’s reading correctly

I opened it up brought screw driver near it the speakers magnets are so strong they broke the diaphragm of my speaker take care when and if u do it

should I take it apart or bring it to the service center?
mine still new, more or less about a month old?
If you can get it repaired for free or can claim it I would do that if it’s gonna cost a lot I’d try to open it and see if that fixes it
@@elitesportsmedia I don't know man, official technical service/warranty claim in my country usually was a shit show.
from my experience, it took a few weeks to a few months to fix or replace a product under warranty condition.
anyway thanks for replying my comment I'll try to open it for now and try to fix it myself and see if it work or not

SUPER THANKFUL no technician in Jamaica was brave enough to take it on it has been gathering dust for 2 years now but with all this time on my hands I got take it on Thanks again man had trouble reconnecting the battery because I removed it based on other videos

i did that but mine only had charging lights
Double check when you pulled on motherboard that all connections did not come loose just take a light and flag in all the holes double check nothing is ooose

I was walking and randomly my speaker turned off and i just tried to turn it on no response so i went home plugged it in and it turned back on so i was checking video for replacement batteries and stumbled across ur video so ill let u know if its not the battery its lose wiring that happened will keep u updated after i do more work on it.
