[Night Dream 夜有所梦] Night, a senior Literature student, was still unable to complete his final novel project because he didn't understand the concept of love. He had the chance to meet Dream, the owner of Tokyo Boy, and his close friend in high school, whom he had lost contact with for years, and he never found out why Dream left his life. Then, Dream and Night rekindled their friendship. Night didn't even try to ask Dream about his whereabouts. He simply requested Dream to never again abandon him without explanation. After that, Dream assisted Night in finding the meaning of love for his work. He helped Night realize what love is, and that it's what Night had known all along, but he didn't accept it: Dream is his love. Cowardice kept Night from stepping forward, making him build up an iron wall and deny his feelings. Still, no matter how hard he tried, his feelings for Dream grew stronger by the day. Strong and obvious to the point where he couldn't suppress them any longer, but it seemed he was too late... because Dream was about to leave his life again.

51:15 I like how they slip in past scenes to explain the present scenes. Just like this prawn peeling scene. Also Dream saying out loud in public “you guys are couple, so no need peeling for me”, that’s good gesture. Also the two friends helping out too, saying drink up 😂drink til you drop. One thing I wonder though, the girl confess to Night after the hospital scene? After she saw Night hugging Dream? Then she confess coz she was scared Dream would snatch Night away from her.
She is what I call a Blocker B, she knew there were feelings growing between Night and Dream, so she told Night she liked him trying to run interference so they can't develop a closer relationship. She had that necklace for six years B4 she returned it to Night! 😭 If I was Night I would have figured out right then she was not a true friend at all.

The more I watch these, the more I see how some of these parents should never have been parents at all! Parents bad attitudes and forcing them on to their children only creates children with more problems! What worse is calling them useless and other derogatory names while favouring other siblings.

That female friend Namwan saw that Night Liked Dream from they were all in school together, but she continued to inserted herself between them hoping that Night will say yes to her before he would be brave enough to admit his feelings to Dream. That's why when they all went on that trip to the seaside villa, she sat on the beach and told Dream that she is going to confess to Night, even though she had already confessed to him when they were at school by the pool and he told her he wasn't sure, but she kissed him and then forced him to give her a chance. Now, on the beach, she saying she will ask him, again. Then in the night when she cornered him, it was clear that Night just wanted to get away from her. That's why he kept on calling Dream whilst she was trying to confess her love to him. Then, after they had sat and ate the prawn dish, Night was drunk and he and Dream were in bed together and they kissed, then the freaking gal knocked on their bedroom door and interrupted them on purpose, then she told Dream on the porch that she is going to speak to Night again the following day, which she did and he rejected her, again for the "third" time. On the beach, she only told Dream about her love for Night because she wanted Dream to take the hint and stay out of the way so that she could get to Night to confess her love ( again) before he confessed his love for Dream. Then, when she finally accepted that she had no chance with Night, Nights brother became the fish bone between Night and Dream. There were a lot of manipulative behaviours from that girl and Day. That's why Day logged into Night's laptop and read his love letter that he wrote for Dream, then he teased Night about the letter. Just amazing how the people you care for can so casually do their very best to sabotage your potential romance so they can get into bed with the one you love. Night was grieving, missing his mom, but also desperately wanting his father's acceptance and love. On top of that, he was shy, a bit awkward, and very much very scared for his future. Plus, he was falling in love for the first time but he did not know how to open up about it to Dream because he had never witnessed real love in his life before amongst anyone in his small social circle or at home. He just needed someone to hold him and regularly reassure him because he felt very lonely and conflicted. The constant interference from that female friend "Namwan" and the brother caused a lot of distress for Night. Night was scared, felt very a lone and deeply missing his mother. If he was experiencing real wholehearted love at home from his family, maybe his wouldn’t have struggled so immensely with understanding the difference between right actions and wrong actions, pertaining to love. He just need understanding, support, a lot of love and reassurance. Night is a very good young man, he just happened to be going through a coming of age process in his life and one that is filled with many unclear obstacles and nuances.
Finally someone is seeing the truth instead of making night the villain
To many women live in their heads...in their fantacy, that a guy is in love with them. And the problem is not he's not clear. The problem is the only answer they want to hear is "YES" from him. They create a fictional world where there will be some great romance with a guy they actually share nothing with. In fact he might actually love someone else. And they often continue to insert themselves in a relationship hoping the guy will change his mind. Love is not something you can win, earn, or force on someone. It is either there or it is not.

It shouldn't have ended like this. Night did not deserve anyone in the story in any way. It was too bad that when Day was sad while a selfish person like him get his happy ending. Screenwriters should stop writing to red flag men the ending they don't deserve just because they are the leading roles. Otherwise, these series will continue to be flops. With such scenarios, the efforts of the actors and crew are wasted.
A flop? Really? Real life is messy and complicated. Everything does not go along with the script. People are not perfect therefore their lives are not perfect. Also life is not fair, get over it. This is a wonderful film with characters that more accurately portray real people. Are there some minor problems with the script? The sudden introduction of a brother heretofore not mentioned? Yes, definitely, but in its' entirety a very good work that far outshines many of the bl series.
I really want that the main lead will be day and dream ❤ cuz they had to break up for night.
