Spawns suit is basically a symbiote from hell named Leetha from the 7th house of K , commonly referred to as K7-Leetha is a sentient and constantly evolving neural parasite that grants spawn many different abilities
It's also worth pointing out that Spawn - the Al Simmons Spawn - is only one of thousands of Hellspawn who are all human souls wrapped in these neural parasites.
@@tat3rd69 no man, necroplasm is what use to power Spawn, but after he defeated God and Satan, was stripped of the K7 and physically re-made himself into Spawn, necroplasm essentially stopped being his power source as he can now channel dark energy and he has control over the elements from when he was endowed with a host of new abilities designed to overcome the worst that heaven or hell could throw at him. Since his necroplasm is finite - essentially his life meter - he rarely uses necroplasm more often than not resorting to physical weapons or his new abilities and powers.
I remember him on the comics and his head was drawn small on some late issues 50 and over. Which suggest he is tall. I don't think 7 feet, that may be too high. Hard to tell since his costume and face has change from issue 1 to issue 50
My cousin gifted me a bunch of Spawn toys in 1996 when I was in ICU as a nine year old from a car accident. I remember how cool they looked in their unopened packages, better than the teddy bears and Beanie Babies that were decorated in my hospital room. My religious Aunt threw all the Spawn toys away when I asked her where they were. I stayed at the hospital for about eight months so Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and my birthday were celebrated there. And yes, the Halloween toys the nurses gave me were also thrown away.
I didn't really like the Superman or Batman figures, but "classic" Harley was ok (too tall though!) and Nightwing was actually a pretty awesome figure, so I guess they are winning me over a bit. I think this Spawn looks badass.
@@Zeno4XX the articulation is a bit wonky. The left shoulder pin on mine is stuck af despite heating and working it. Oh, and his upper torso fell off, lol. I was able to fix that though. That intro makes so much sense! I can't believe that I never realized how much Spawn looks like Prowler with his mask down, and Ghostrider with his mask off.
Big spawn fan. His suit is symbiotic like Venom; named Leetha of the 7th House of K. It's alive and transforms itself to whatever Spawn finds suitable or comfortable, so yes it's organic and sometimes it's cloth.
Figma did make a fantastic Link and Zelda from Twilight, but I have yet to see a super articulated Twilight Princess Ganondorf, the statue is cool, but I like dynamic posing.
It's a very nice figure to own and your review points to it as a good purchase. Your enthusiasm at describing the figure is enjoyable and welcome. Thanks for sharing your treasure.
At first i thought his eyes were way too close together from the initial promotional shots, but now I after seeing your review I gotta get him...brings me back to seventh grade, reading and drawing Spawn all day and night.
I remember commenting on SP's review of the 10th anniversary figure of how amazing it was as both a spawn figure and a figure in general. It's close, but I might have to go e it to this one. Your blue background does the sculpt so much justice.
Great Figure!!!...looks awesome: excellent sculpting (head sculpt), texture, paint apps (green glowing eyes), great articulation with one exception...missing upper thigh rotation. The one Walmart that was even remotely close to my location (17 miles away) on the "400 List"...finally got their Mortal Kombat Spawn figures in on the Ides of March. After the debacle that was March the 8th...gotta say for the first time in a long, long time that a Walmart provided great customer service.
Tye from Toy Fair has really given me more confidence in the McFarlane line. I hope he's right and we'll start seeing some changes that collectors have been griping about. Didn't think of McFarlane as a line I'd collect ..... But damn I like the stuff I'm starting to see.
I wish there were more Spawn figures. I still think Mcfarlane should make a Batman Vs Spawn two pack. That would be awesome. Thanks for the video Robo!
Robo. Spawn is 6'11 (in his suit) while alive as a human he was 6'2. So this scale fits plus if you watched the old Spawn HBO animated series he towered over everyone looking like a giant. So his height fits well with Marvel Legends. Also I hope we get more MK figures of Spawn maybe a deluxe version for this figure with alternative hands, weapons and heads. Especially since the trailer showed him with the classic red and blue outfit and him with the scarf and bandolier look.
I actually enjoy different size figures. 5inch is smaller maybe teenager size. 6inch normal sized characters. 7inch the big boys. Not every character is the same size, so i don't mind it. Stark should be shorter than cap but bigger than cap in his armour. Just a opinion. Beyond awesome as always buddy.
I've waited a long long time for this figure. But it seems like it was worth it. Now I hope Macfarlane will give us ninja, military commando, black knight and old-west Spawn. Before I'm too old to open the packaging.
this Spawn looks like a total badass, as AL Simmons should. His symbiote body texture, spikes, and the level of detail is all sweet. the only trouble is my figure has a bad foot that is articulated weird. Spawn's "costume" is a symbiote, an old nasty one indigenous to hell and the wrinkles really fit him. In King Spawn it even changed form regularly... just wish I had a better foot for him.
I probably won't have this seen, but this is definitely going to be my next figure. Just as a heads up in case you didn't know, the white design on Spawn's chest is an homage to Todd McFarland, a capital M. I heard the shape was used for the inspiration behind another big comic book guy.... Great video 👍
The texture reminds me of the movie Spawn costume. To bad they didn't use this design in the film, he really needed a cape lol. Badass looking figure, I can't wait to get it.
This Spawn and 1000Toys Hellboy are the same height, which more or less is accurate to the comics, so even though he's 7 inches, he's 6 inch scale. Which is hilarious considering that Todd things that to be 7 inch scale EVERYTHING is 7 inch scale. Dude straight up made Harley and Batman the same height.
Them knees on spawn need some improvement on how they look and I agree about the biceps thing how it should line up with the articulation and a swivel at the big gauntlet would've been pretty awesome so he can hold a rifle with both hands a little better, other than that It's a near perfect true action figure of Spawn! I can't wait to see the future of more articulated Spawn figures!
The frustrating part about this figure people could not find this figure when this came out in march 2020 when covid 19 started sometime they try to buy it on walmart but walmart kept canceling their order so people had to buy it on ebay or on amazon but i was actually glad i got mine on may 2020 so i was considering a lucky one to find mines on gamestop
Great figure. I would repaint the spikes with chrome/silver, and repaint his chest symbol with glow in the dark paint. By any chance would you know when the new Punisher riders will be up to pre-order? I saw it in a NY toy fair video last week. Thanks
So I got my two I preorder from EE today one has two left hands. The right hand is the right color and mold for the right hand but it’s a left hand. I’m very curious to know if this is considered an error toy? Added value? Thanks!
Im getting this. Cant wait to use my character early access as well. I need the classic spawn costume in the game. I'm talking the actual Classic costume with the very dark blue suit, the red color on the abs, no boot, the silver thigh pouch, the the one calf ankle spike brace, classic red gloves with no gauntlet, please Neitherealm studios.... DO not just recolor the Spawn IV costume we see now with the classic colors like Soul calibur did. I'm fking hyped. I also wanna see maskless. Maybe even the Human Al simmons head still with the costume from the Al simmons return issue Cant wait to shoot mfs, throw some necroplasm in peoples faces, chain em up, cape em up, beat em up, and whatever other abilities they'll put in
I thank all of the figures from the 90's you line just need to be remade but, this time with multiple articulation, more accessories like power FX, and alternate head sculps.
I was thinking of adding to the cape with some cloth so it can drape around the side of him as well like in the comics. I don't want to go full custom & cut the cape completely off & glue a new one on. It defeats the whole purpose of the figure if you have to break or ruin it just to add to it.
I'm really hesitant on that classic Spawn they showed at Toy Fair. I don't wanna get my hopes up for *the* ultimate Spawn figure, only for Todd to pull out the monkey's paw and it ends up being out of scale or barely articulated like the rebirth Spawn. I'll be good with this version until more comes out about the other one; looks good enough & should scale well against 1000toys Hellboy at least.
I don't know how to feel about Todd, lol. Sometimes he makes a lot of good decisions and sometimes... I'm not gonna say he makes bad ones, but I'd say weird. Firstly, I actually love the fact that he gave the figure to a lot of reviewers. I've seen pretty much every single review on this Spawn and all of them just make me want him more. That's a very nice looking figure. Very curious as to where the line is going to go from here. Also when are we going to get a play day? Im curious as to what goodies you have. Hope all is well Robo.

I think Spawn is 7 feet when armored up so he should fit in MLs. Or Im just finding reasons to buy this guy... lol!
Agree he's gonna look sick with everything in my case

Todd always designed him to tower over other characters. Todd's very much that kind of guy.
