    Program notes:
Aurora Borealis, also known as northern lights, is an atmospheric phenomenon in the world that can be observed in the dark. It can be seen at high latitudes, which means that the phenomenon will be visible especially in the cold season. When the northern lights occur, we tend to see very little light, or a little bit more noticeable, as an arch, moving beam or light curtain, and rarely even a flame. Sometimes on the north horizon it will lift up like a bow that beam a beam as if it were a search light. Before science could explain the origins of the northern lights, there were many explanations found in folk tales and legends of different cultures. The problems of life and death, the relationship with the spirit world and the struggle between supernatural forces in the sky are many examples. These explanations cause terrifying phenomena for many people.
