I stared at my machine for five full hours before I found this. Proud to say I can now thread it in minutes. I wouldn't have gotten there withou you. Thank so much for the video!
One thing that the manual is seriously lacking in is the use of the self threading mechanism for threading the needle. NOWHERE does it mntiion dropping the mechanism down or exactly where to place the thread in this mechanism. Glad that this video highlighted this. Many thanks.
Thank you for this helpful video. I just pulled this cute little machine out of it's box today. My last new machine was just after getting married 22 years ago. And just saying... I think sewing machines should have odometers on them to show us how many miles we have sewn with them ....just for the fun of it. 🤪😂😂
I know this video is two years old, I’m having problems with my stitching, it’s either pulling or it’s very loose I tried many different ways and it still does it! I only purchased this machine last year, I didn’t realize the front part comes out lol, I tried many times, until I watched your video lol
This video was perfect. I've only ever had front loading bobbins on an older Sears Kenmore machine. I bought a newer machine as a secondary. The pace and video angles were exactly what I needed. This is actually better than the Official Brother tutorial.
thank you! i’ve been hand sewing for almost 20 years but i’ve always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine. i’ve been intimidated by all the different steps, trying to understand the components, and things to consider regarding needles, thread, fabrics, and stitches. thanks to your video and some trial and error (and almost breaking my needle 😅) i’ve got my machine threaded!
I'm so glad that this video could help you on your sewing journey. Please let me know if you have any questions I would be happy to try to help. Happy sewing 😊
Yay 🎉thank you for this video!!! Just got this machine and I have NEVER used a machine so this was helpful especially being the same model I have BUT it didn’t pickup the thread in the bobbin 😢…. Ok update 😅I FAILED to notice that it didn’t pickup because the bobbin thread was caught/pinched under the cover where the bobbin lives. THANK YOU FOR THIS DETAILED VIDEO!
Thank you, Sydney!!!! I sewed for the first time last night thanks to your videos!!! 😄 You are my hero!! I was lost. Can’t wait to get back to my new machine and make something today. Have a great weekend 😊
Hi and good evening from Bergen, Norway! I just want to say thank you so much for the video! ⚘ it is very informative and I could follow every step on my own machine - DS120x - and it worked! Now I am ready to sew finally, and really happy about it! 🤩 Susana.
Please know that I have tremors so that is the reason for the shaking hand in my video. And I'm a little nervous to make UA-cam videos as I'm new to this lol
@@gabydrools sewing is my go to and im glad im on this journey. I just sit down and can create something simple yet useful and have fun. Hope your journey is amazing. Happy sewing 😊

@@jennifersoto4525 according to my handbook that came with my machine it states to only use class 15 type of bobbin. I found some on Amazon for around $6
I just made a comment but I previously fixed that. Hopefully by the time you see this I have it figured out but I now have the bobbin successfully in its case but now when I put the needle down and bring it up, the threads don’t create a loop Thank you for the great cideo
When you turn the hand wheel towards you are you holding the upper thread with the opposite hand, I slightly pull on the thread while turning the hand wheel. If that doesn't work may try to reinsert the bobbing, it may be facing the wrong way. I hope this helps you. If needed I can make a more in depth tutorial and send it to you.
Hi..thank you for the video, helps alot..I have the same machine and I tried to shorten a jeans pants but the machine would do the sewing then it made a weird sound !! I don't know why , I am begging in sewing!!
You will need to have the top thread threaded on your machine first. Then you will hold the top thread in one hand, and then while you turn the handwheel toward you, slightly pull on the top thread , and that should bring your bottom thread up. If you are still having trouble i wouldcheck your bobbin to make sure it is put in correctly. It should look like P with the vobbin and thread. I hope this helps. Happy sewing 😊
What I do is use my left hand to hold the thread and my right hand to guild the thread into the metal slit in the middle of the bobbin casing. It should fit right in the groove. Hope this helps.
Hi Desiree 👋. If you are having trouble threading the needle, I would maybe purchase a needle threader at the dollar store if you have one nearby. I have had my fair share of struggles with automatic needle threader because I shake and cant hold the tread still, and im not sure exactly what i was doing wrong Sometimes, it would work, and sometimes the lever wouldn't catch and pull the thread through the needle, and to save time and frustration, I got the little needle threader. They are also on Amazon as well. I hope this is somewhat helpful.
Thank you! So much more helpful, as a teacher I am a very visual learner😁 have you tried making hoodie toddler towels? I’ve watched several videos but haven’t found one that’s at my level, with excellent VISUAL DIRECTIONS?

@Desiree' Secor Hey, that is such a great idea. That would save a lot of money because those baby towels are expensive. I will definitely do some research and let you know. I have a couple of hooded towels for my 6 month old that i reused from when my 2 year old was a baby.. If I can figure it out, I will make one and do a video on it. 😊.
I'm sorry your having trouble with the automatic needle threader. To bypass this I typically just manually thread the needle. I will try to do a more I depth video on how to use the automatic needle threader soon.

Class 15 type bobbin is what my handbook states.
How did anyone ever learn to do this before UA-cam?😂

Sorry I was filming this on my cell phone. I do plan to redo this video with a better camera. Hope this video helped you in some way. 😊

jesus this video is so slow lol Can you please edit and get to the point with the steps?
Maybe YOU should make a fast video so when beginners get lost watching it they can come here and actually learn something. SMH
